Horrible. Was tag teamed between the diagnostic team with the walk in team. 3000 dollars later no one could tak to us for a month after our appointment. My dog was seriously ill and in a tremendous amount of pain. Zero compassion and follow through

I have been trying to get into a vet since they opened in 2014 and can never get in and are not taking new pets. and a vet will not even answer a simple question. I have had my 7 week puppy to the vet but I would like a question from a different vet.

I have used companion animal clinic for many years with multiple pets and have received excellent service through the years. That was until we had to put our beloved family pet Petuko to sleep after recieving the diagnosis of malignant cancer from a large mass bleeding growing pertruding out of his chin. Petuko was 16 years old, hard if hearing, had a heart murmer, and a large mass that broke through his skin and was bleeing. He also had arthritis in his hip and was limping. This urgent care vet make a difficult choice horrific! Not only did he make us feel guilty by telling us "did you consider surgery" to our 16 year old pet with other health problems, right before he put him to sleep he looked us straight in our eyes and said" this is your last chance, once I do this I can't bring him back". I understand he is a resident and learning but with his thoughtless behavior, it should be a very long time with a lot of re-instruction that he should ever be allowed to perform a procedure with grieving family again. I did report this to the manager, but it does not make myself nor my family feel any better.

I've been taking my pet to the Midwestern University Animal Clinic for the last three years, and they have been amazing! The receptionists are friendly and welcoming, making the check-in process smooth. The students are attentive and really care about the animals. They always take the time to answer my questions and explain everything clearly. I feel confident bringing my pet here, and I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for great care!

We haven't been to a better place than this for our little ones. This is a veterinary college. They can only take a limited number of our Little Loved Ones, so make sure you call before just showing up. Yesterday, we had to let our smallest dog pass on, and they made it very easy for us. My wife said to me when we left, out of all the other times we had to let go of a loved one, this was the easiest. Everybody we have had the privilege of meeting there has been so wonderful, and you know that they care. I wish everyone could bring their little family members to a place like this. If you don't get accepted right away, don't be discouraged. Just keep trying. You will get in eventually. They are definitely worth it. Oh, and they have the best prices you can find.

We unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to put our dog down. During this last few moments we couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful and kind time. They have a large “comfort room” with couches and brought our sweet girl a can of Vienna sausages to enjoy in her last few moments. Dr. Ruszczyk, the intern doctor, was so empathetic and talked us through each step of the way. When we left, we were able to avoid the lobby and exit a separate door that leads to the most peaceful garden. Thank you Midwestern team (especially techs Rhiannon and Alexia) for giving us the best last few moments with our girl. Thank you in addition, for being an affordable place to go. ❤️

My orange tabbies Max and his son Argonaut are treated perfectly as family. Doing what ever is needed for them. Although as we all know sometimes things are beyond anyone's control as with the devastating passing of Argonaut. His passing was stated boldly in Max's chart taking in the emotional health of Max as well. They had also taken the time to comfort myself as well. The entire staff continued their care with a condolence card we received signed by everyone including the doctors. We also received extra follow up calls at home during Max's healing time after his surgery. This place is amazing. I have been so blessed to have them in our lives. If you want complete care with a 1000% love for your 4 legged family members, look no further. I believe them to be heaven sent.

Making the decision to put your animal down is hard enough when you cant afford much. Called to get pricing and they refused to give pricing over the phone. Even for an exam. How is anyone to know how much to have prior to services? All she said is we are the same as every vet clinic out there which a bold face lie because prices range from 155-600+ from who I have spoken to today. I understand that this is a college but maybe teaching the receptionist empathy and being more transparent on pricing is what is needed. Unfortunately not everyone is in the same financial state to be able to afford some unknown amount. Very disappointed with them.

I volunteer for the Humane Society. I went there for an u usual case for one of our cats. The office was so nice and inviting. They had separate areas for the dogs and cats. It is a teaching college, so they had Vet students along with the regular Veterinarians. They let me know all the information and gave me all options. We ended up getting great news. I highly recommend this hospital.
