It's always large organizations like this that boast mental health care but struggle to provide care.My girlfriend has been a client here for over 6 months. Struggling to keep a therapist, they all quit, then it's a 3 month process to get another appointment. They also dropped their Primary Care doctor. So they still run my insurance but don't provide any care.

I will be honest and said that JFCS was not somewhere I had ever imagined giving a positive review for, but then I found this amazing therapist that is truly one of their best! Michelle Franklin has been so supportive in a way that is hard to find. I truly appreciate the great work she is doing and I think they desperately need more therapist like her.* I would have given 5 stars but it was an overall rating and if it wasn't for Michelle I would have rated it 2 stars.

Mental Health services have been amazing here. Trama Therapist is by far the best. PCP has also been amazing. ***please take note there are no controlled substances percribed at Jewish Family for those of you make the switch and who are on these meds.

I sincerely wish I could rate it lower. I’ve been a client here for a couple years now and have been taking the same medication for several months - my last med appointment was canceled via voicemail and I forgot to call back and schedule a new one. When I noticed my prescription was out in a few days, it made me remember to call and make a new appointment and I also asked for a refill in the meantime. They refilled it three days later but it was the wrong prescription, it was an older one I no longer took, and now say that they can’t refill the correct one until my appointment. Meaning I’ll miss an entire week of my depression medication, which is at a high dosage and that I regularly take daily. I even expressed how prior to taking this medication I was suicidal and they still told me they couldn’t issue a refill since they “already did an emergency refill.” But it was for the wrong medication! I’ve been calling daily ever since (it’s been five days) and they’ve been unable to reach my doctor nor can they move up my appointment. Withdrawal of the medication I’m on not only includes headaches, nausea/vomiting, insomnia, but also suicidal thoughts and tendencies and yet they don’t care if I live or die. They gave me an urgent care location where I could commit myself if I “can’t cope” according to them, but I can’t afford to miss work.Seriously, this place is absolutely terrible and you’re risking your life and well-being by going here. I wish I could afford actual insurance so I could go elsewhere, but in the meantime, I’m stuck here.

This place is the reason I am still here. I see the bad reviews and people have to realize therapists and psychiatrists are like shoes. You have to find the ones you like that fit you.I have been receiving services from here since I was 17 up until now and the only reason I'm leaving is because I am now SMI and being moved to another facility. (Im almost 21). I've been given the most caring people to help me get to where I am now. As my case with these lovely people close very soon. I'd like to thank them for helping me through so much. I recommend this place. Thank you to all of those at Jewish family!!!!! These lovely folks always had my back and I'm sad to go ?

Wife has now been out of medication over a week and every day she calls and they just transfer her to a voice mail and nobody ever calls her back. A week off her medication is rediculous and this place should be out out of business!!! What a joke!!!!!!

This place disgusts me as they hang up on you when they feel the need to I've updated my phone number in the system a couple of years ago actually and they still continue to call my mothers phone number as if I was a minor that right there is going to get their facility into trouble so I don't think they're too concerned about the rest of this, my provider Eddie Will not stay in contact I've been waiting for a phone call back from them but their hours say they close at 4:30 so I'm never expecting a phone call from them at 4:54 PM irregardless they won't leave a voicemail even explaining who called or what it was about I've been wanting to increase my meds but they told me I can't until I see my provider and that's straight b******* I'm getting close to checking myself into a mental hospital because of this place and there lack of help for others anything is a paycheck nowadays stop messing with peoples mental health especially people who cry over the phone explaining they are pregnant and need help. Quit your job if you're not happy and can't keep up we depend on this facility stop letting us down

I wish I could make a positive comment about this facility. However, their services have really been suffering the past few years. Maybe because of the pandemic or maybe because they have difficulty retaining staff. Most recently they dropped my son from medication services with little warning. They admitted they prematurely dropped my son, but required that he go through another intake meeting. I had no choice, since they would not fill my son's meds and only gave me a bridge until the next doctor meeting a week later. Today I was to meet with the doctor virtually, but the doctor couldn't connect because they were having issues with their virtual visit software. I had to call the clinic to see why the doctor wasn't connecting, and the least the doctor could do was to call me directly. I took my son out of school for the appointment and took time off work, and then they asked me to reschedule the appointment again, and they wouldn't bridge his medications unless I took the earliest appointment that the doctor had on his schedule. I have to move the world for this clinic, because they can't keep accurate recordkeeping nor can they make appointments that we schedule. On top of that, their front office staff, probably due to being desensitized by upset parents and caretakers, show no empathy nor go out of the way to find assistance to make things right. When I find time, I will be finding services elsewhere.

If you care about yourself your children or anyone who is needing help. Do not risk their health and wellbeing with this place. The second JFS has not filled my kids medication. After calling multiple times leaving 4 messages and dealing with a intake specialist who likes to crumble paper over the phone, eating loudly and acting in a unprofessional manner and being told that during business hours ALL managers are gone is a bit unsettling. Don't risk your health or the health of others in the hands of incompetence that has grossly been shown by this scam facility.

I love Cynthia Torbin and Wendy Richard. However, the downside is you have to call the office if you need to reschedule and you never get anyone to answer. You will be told you're first in line by the automated system for 30+ minutes and then you are sent to voice-mail. On the rare occasion that you do get someone to answer, they criticize you for having to reschedule your appointment. Life happens and they should not have an attitude when their patients need to reschedule. If it weren't for Richard and Torbin, I would have gone somewhere else.

This mental health care facility has been very disappointing. Asking us to pay for an outside agency to complete a psychological evaluation that they will not read. The report has been there over a month and nobody including Jake on med check. There is important new information that could help my son. My 17 year old doesn't attend school or able to work. They don't talk about any options. Throwing pills at him instead of learning what is there available under their noses.I have lost my faith in mental health support. When you have a child with failing mental health it does the same with you. It's so hard to watch your child change right before your eyes and the professionals don't care. Sad day...

My partner has been without meds for 2 weeks and is diagnosed bipolar. Multiple phone calls and multiple messages have been made and left. Absolutely no response! Now my partner and family are struggling with the side effects of being without this medication! If you struggle with mental health issues please seek help elsewhere!

Try to call for my meds constantly. Miss one call from them, and now I'm back to calling, trying to get someone to pick up.

My children have been receiving treatment from this clinic for a couple of years now. Within the past few months, they have gotten progressively worse at treatment. High turnover rate with their therapists. My oldest had four therapists, one he was assigned to but never met because she left before they could meet. That therapist quit calling and I was never able to schedule another appointment. His sister had a different therapist than he did for a year but she eventually quit making appointments. The only reason I was sent to her directly was because the front desk said they couldn't schedule her appointments. When I finally got ahold of the therapist, she said the front desk has always been capable of making appointments for her. My daughter also started medicine and the provider was really good at keeping with her appointments and on top of my daughter's treatment and wonderful at communicating. Recently, it took around 2 weeks for my daughter to get a refill. She has a mood disorder and was suffering. The pharmacy kept sending requests, I called and left messages for the nurse to call back. No call back for two weeks. They called to tell me the refills didn't go through the first time and did not keep trying to send it. When I asked why they didn't keep trying (twice on two different calls), one response was they didn't know why and it wasn't their responsibility to make sure it went through. That was the medicine nurse. I called back to ask for sleeping medicine for her and the only time the nurse got back to me was to tell me to give her medicine I told her she cannot take. I called again to get something for her because she had to immediately come off the one she had been taking, and, again, was told to give her things she cannot take. She said that was the order from her provider which I doubt is true because the provider knows my child and knows what she can and cannot take. I have called before to make a complaint and that person got back to me and the issue was resolved and that was for the front desk for not calling back or not answering. I would call over 30 times in a row (not exaggerating) to make one appointment and kept getting sent to the voicemail. I did call again to make another complaint about the medicine issue and how she should not have had to suffer like that. Voicemail by the front desk. No call backs. I honestly hate making complaints. I get told I'm first in line and then either sent to voicemail or hung up on before I can speak to someone. For the longest time, I would get an email to either confirm or reschedule the appointment. The link never worked because I would do reschedule and they would still call for the appointment. It seems like they just now got it right. I am currently on the hunt for another (reliable) provider. Unfortunately, my child will stay at JFCS until I find someone. I am at the point where I am willing to pay for a provider even though I don't have the money for it. The only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the communication in the beginning was great and the front desk actually doing their job.

My grandson has received services here for 5 years for ADHD at JFC. Getting in touch with his provider, Gerlyn Campbell, is impossible. I have left 3 messages with actual people who assured me his RX refill that was over looked would be addressed within 24hrs. It has been over a week and no RX. I asked if I could leave a VM or email for the provider but was told that is not possible. I am left at the mercy of the front desk staff who obviously have difficulty doing their job. I am a registered nurse and can't imagine providing this type of care. It is so sad this poor kid has been without Focalin for over a week. If you have a choice to go elsewhere I would highly recommend it.
