Best choice we’ve ever made. Our 2 year old rescue Ziggy has struggled with behaviors, obedience, and reactivity since we got him a year and a half ago. We did a 3 week board and train with Liz and have had incredible results. Not only did she do an amazing job training Ziggy, but was also a great educator during our one-on-one training sessions so that we can continue his training correctly at home. She was also great at communicating updates during the training, very personable, and always quick to respond to text messages. We can’t thank her enough for the peace of mind we’ve gotten with Ziggy’s training and are enrolling our other dog for a board and train, too.

The Best by far, Elizabeth was great, an asset to the company, well worth the money would recommend to anyone my husband and I are seniors and walking Sasha was really hard, now like a new dog.

Liz was great! She was patient and kind and explained the process along the way. I was so pleased when I got my pup back and I appreciated that they train with you afterwards so you know and understand what your dog has learned. I highly recommend this company and Liz!

Liz was great! Highly recommend. I recently adopted a stray kelpie who was living on the streets for 9 months he had no idea how to use a leash and was terrified of everything and everyone except me. After I had him trained with Liz he was a completely different dog, potty trained, leash trained and understands commands. Liz was also very responsive through phone and helpful.

Chris and his Best By Farr team are truly amazing! We were on the verge of finding a new home for our sweet dog because he was so dog aggressive and he was getting too hard to control. Walking him had become an exhausting chore that we dreaded. We were so worried he was going to get away from us and hurt another dog. He would get so anxious and not listen to us at all. We consulted with Chris as a last effort to keep Juno in our family. After the 3 week session with Chris and his team our Juno came back a different dog. Chris has also taught us how to communicate and understand our dog. It was a game changer for sure! He listens to all his commands and taking him for walks is something we now look forward to and enjoy. Juno even seems to enjoy his walks more as well.

I can't thank Chris and trainer Liz enough for helping us get our dog's aggressive behaviors under control. I wish we hadn't waited so long to invest in training. It by far was the best choice we could have made for ourselves and our dog. It has been a couple months now since our training and our dog is doing exactly what was expected from the training. She walks without pulling on the leash, she doesn't aggressively bark at cats and other dogs on our walks, she no longer runs to try to escape, she comes to us when called, etc. While it takes investment of time on our part, it is enjoyable to see the progress she has made to become an obedient dog.

We feel very fortunate to have found Chris. After searching for a qualified dog trainer, we chose Chris because of his accomplishments and 5-star reviews. We brought our five-month old German Shepherd for the one-week Board and Train program and it was worth every dollar. Before Chris, we were not able to walk our puppy with much success. Now it's a joy to walk him. It's stress-free for all involved. Chris was so kind to share with us the basics for training our puppy and we now feel confident with the knowledge we have to get rid of some of his not so good habits. Chris also helped us out with some extra training which wasn't part of the package. He taught our puppy how to get in and out of our vehicle within minutes. Prior to Chris' expertise, our puppy had a fear of getting in and out of our vehicle. I cannot thank Chris enough for the impact he has made in our lives and the life of our puppy.

We sent our almost 2 year old rescue Malinois to Best By Farr's 4 week board and train. He was very reactive to dogs and we could not even be across the street from one on our walks. He was even starting to growl at us and it was beginning to be too much for us to handle. From the first video we received, one week into training, it was clear that we made the right decision. Convict has been home for one day and the difference in his demeanor and overall happiness is night and day. He loves to work and he is the ultimate people pleaser, which makes it easier to practice all that he learned throughout the 4 weeks at training. We could not be happier with his leash skills, attention span, and desire to train. Overall, it was the best money we could have spent and is showing to be worth every penny. We cannot wait to see him live a fruitful life with more control and happiness!

Liz was amazing with our girl phoebe! Phoebe is a high energy dog that had trouble following instructions. In just three weeks, Liz had completely transformed phoebe to listen and follow my instructions. I highly recommend Best By Farr dog training. They took such great care of our girl, followed up with videos weekly to see her progress. This is the first dog I have ever put through training, and I will do it over and over again with all my future pups!

Where do I begin. Chris is absolutely amazing. His communication, education, patience, and passion for what he does is truly outstanding. We have had two previous dogs who were not trained and of course my husband and I fell into the dog owner category of thinking dogs train themselves. With lack of education on our part we decided to research more about dog training and we stumbled on the Best By Farr page. After watching videos, reading reviews, and researching more about Chris’s training we decided to book a consultation for our 5 week old German Shorthaired Pointer. Our puppy at that time was extremely active, hyper, mischievous, and had lack of basic obedience skills. She literally only was potty trained. During Chris’s consultation he was so helpful with answering any questions as well as concerns I had about my puppy’s behavior. My husband and I decided we were going to pull the trigger and invest in our puppy so that for the next decade we will be stress free with a behaved dog. Let me tell you this investment was the best decision we could have ever done, for us as well as our puppy Kimber. We did Best By Farr’s Puppy to Adult program which I would 1,000% recommend. With just his 7 day puppy week at 6 months old we already noticed improvement. Kennel training, taking her on walks, or even practicing commands like sit were a breeze for her. After a few months was when the second part of her training began where she was there for three weeks ( at this point she was 10 months old). Chris would send us updates via txt and videos. We truly couldn’t believe what we were watching our dog do. It was such a relief knowing she was in good hands. As her training came to an end Chris worked with my husband and I to make sure we were just as educated as our dog. He made us into the dog owners I never thought we’d be. Our entire experience was beyond satisfactory. We are extremely thankful for him and without him I don’t even want to know where we would be. I highly recommend using his services I promise you will not regret it.

I cannot say enough how life changing Chris & Best by Farr dog training has been for Motley and myself! My 1 year old French Bulldog, Motley, despite being the sweetest boy, had no obedience and no desire to listen. He also was a terrible puller on the leash and suffered greatly from dog reactivity.Motley went through the 3 week board and train with Best by Farr and within 72 hours I got a video update of Motley in a perfect heel with automatic sits while on a walk. Safe to say that my jaw hit the floor. Not only that, but Motley was pranching with a big smile on his face while doing it. Chris made Motley excited to learn! Due to the professionalism, attentiveness, and utmost care, I never once was worried about Motley while he was away. He came back home the same happy go-lucky boy but with a whole new set of skills and expectations. Upon completion of the board and train, Chris walked me through what the sessions will look like to starting helping me ensure Motleys training stays up to par. I seriously cannot say enough great things about Best by Farr dog training and I recommend them to everyone I know. My life with Motley has become easier and more enjoyable. In addition, the training has also made Motley & I's relationship much more closer as I feel we better understand one another. Thank you so so much Chris & Best by Farr dog training!!

Bringing our pup to Best By Farr is easily the best thing we have done while having a dog. You can immediately tell that Chris and his team really care about your pet and the training process. Stella was 9 months old when we brought her to training. She did not have any glaring behavior issues, but we were having trouble managing her in general because of her high energy level and intelligence. We had tried home and group training without much improvement. While she was away at boarding, we got frequent updates, pictures and videos which was really reassuring. In two weeks, our girl went from an unruly puppy with no boundaries and no desire to listen, to a respectful, obedient girl. We are especially amazed by her heeling and recall. Best By Farr also made the transition home very smooth, helping us week by week to integrate new tasks and commands. Our relationship with our dog is so much stronger since training! Everyone, including Stella, is happier. Most importantly, we feel she is safer. We are extremely grateful to Chris and Best By Farr! We would absolutely recommend them to any dog owner :)

Before finding Chris at Best By Farr Dog Training, I'd spent far too much money and time with other trainers who never succeeded in eliminating the issues my dog Emmett faced.Emmett knew basic obedience, but whenever he'd see another dog he'd go totally berserk and I could do nothing to calm him. His other challenge was when someone would ring the doorbell or enter the house. He'd be at the door barking, then would jump on them or my other dog in excitement.Chris offers a hybrid training program — first it's boarded training (the length depends on your dog's needs), then a few sessions of one-on-one with you and your dog to ensure you can successfully reinforce the skills your dog learned in training.Emmett needed two weeks of boarded training with Chris (he had the basics down, just didn't know how to apply them when he got excited). He's now been home for two weeks and we're halfway through our one-on-one sessions. From day one of Emmett's return home from training, I saw a huge improvement in his demeanor. He now lays calmly on the bed when I go to the door to answer it and he won't get off of the bed until I tell him he's allowed to. When people walk by the house on the sidewalk and he's watching from the window, he rarely barks; if he does, as soon as I say no he stops and comes to me.As for walks, Chris trained him to heel right by my side and it's astonishing how close to me he will stay (he used to be a huge puller). When I stop, he sits.I think the most important thing to remember with dog training is this: If your dog isn't a young puppy, you have to break behavior that's become routine. Emmett is 1 year 8 months old and I adopted him at 3 months old, so for a year and a half we did things his way. It's now my job to consistently reinforce Chris' training to ensure Emmett sees me as the alpha and obeys my instructions.

Best By Farr is awesome. Before we took our dog Luna to their training, she was a little nightmare. She would listen yo basic commands, but wouldn't maintain the attention or discipline to follow the command longer than a few seconds. She was also constantly pulled during her walks, while also licking the ground. The licking dirt and eating rocks really scared us because we didn't want her to choke or ingest any parasites. After Best By Farr's 3 week training program, Luna was literally a different dog when it came to her listening to us. One of the things we especially love is that we can play fetch with her at our neighborhood park without her running off. Sometimes when take a short stroll around my neighborhood I will keep Luna unleashed and she remains by my side. Hannah was Luna's trainer and she was awesome, professional, friendly, and served as an excellent resource for us while she taught us how to give commands to Luna. We are in the process of getting a new puppy and will definitely utilize Best By Farr training as well.
