I called for an emergency leak repair, they were fast and got there quick.They found the leak and said it was rubbing on top plate, called me 10mins later and said no it’s mice chewing through the pipe. I agreed to a copper repair in place of the PEX pipe so that I wouldnt have mice chew through again.While I was talking with the owner Matt about repairs his tech jumped the gun and just replaced with PEX. I also agreed to him repairing a gate valve that I found out later wasn’t really necessary just an add on to get some more out of us. I agreed to it.The owner then tells me I have to pay for the PEX bandaid and the gate valve and if I wanted copper it would be a new job and new cost.I said I do not need to pay for your tech repairing something differently than you and I agreed to.He did settle with me just sending an invoice for the gate valve, i was willing to be fair and reasonable the whole time. I was just not willing to pay for his techs mistake. That is not my responsibility. When he did finally send an estimate for the copper repair it was outrageous.I paid him for the gate valve and said if you wanted to you’re more then welcome to come rip out the PEX bandaid your company did.I would suggest getting written estimates and bids well in advance before authorizing any work with them. Correction: There is a known issue with this particular model and it should have been under warranty to fix.Dave from Travis & Sons came out and got it going again. I didn’t watch him work but he explained to both me and my husband (on the phone) how he did it.My husband is a mechanic and later questioned Dave’s explanation of his fix. So my husband called Rheem and Rheem told him that if that was his “fix” then there is definitely something wrong with the water heater.My husband phoned Travis & Sons and spoke with both Marcy and Matt, the owners. After several phone calls, always prompted from us, they are telling us that Dave is giving them a different story about the fix and that someone is lying and they seem to think it’s us, the customer.We were treated very unprofessionally by the owners and employee. I can tell you we will never do business with them again. And we will encourage others to avoid them as well.Service: Water heater repair

I used Travis and Sons for a water softener and RO water system. I appreciated several things. First Matt, the owner, was very generous with his time on the phone making sure I understood what I was buying and the process for installation. He also followed up afterwards to verify everything was done not just correctly but to my satisfaction. I’m also super happy with the quality of my new systems.Jr was my plumber. He showed up on time and did a great job. He also texted me a week after to make sure things were good and ask if I had any questions.I had a gas leak and Matt had a crew out promptly to take care of it.Very happy with the service I received from Travis and Sons. This company is top notch. I'm a relatively handy person, and found myself in a predicament while changing my kitchen faucet that I wasn't confident with.I called them up and, rather than try to squeeze money out of me, they listened to my issues and made some extremely helpful suggestions on what I could do on my own to fix the problem.I was able to finish installing my faucet with their guidance. This is honesty, quality, and exceptional customer service all in one interaction. My confidence is so high in them that I'm having a technician come out to assess a potential drain leak I stumbled across.

Paul came out to give us an estimate on replacing our 2 old water tanks. He was very professional and we ended up also buying a new filtration system. Paul was not pushy at all, he was on time and worked all day until the job was done. I will absolutely use Travis and Sons again.
