I really debated whether or not I wanted to write a negative review for a while. However, I just can't in good conscious let other parents send their kids here without being fully informed.I have twins who attended Spondeo from the time they were 2.5 to 4 years old. I pulled my kids in the Spring of this year following a string of events that led me to believe it was not safe for my children to attend this school. In hindsight I think the ratios are too high in the classroom. I think the multiage does not work for Spondeo. They have young children who are having potty accidents all day. The teachers are too busy changing kids and putting out fires to actually teach, engage kids in learning, or provide adequate supervision. The teachers are not supported. Based on my interactions with Evelyn as a parent, I can't imagine being her employee. There is a very negative culture that starts at the top and trickles down to the kids. Please learn from my mistake and DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE.

I was looking for quality education and found it at Spondeo. My daughter has attended Spondeo for the last two years and loves every minute of it. Her vocabulary and life skills have grown immensely. I would recommend this school.

My granddaughter is 2.5 yea old and has been going to Spondeo for about 14 months. She was out 3 weeks in December 2021 because of Covid in the family and Christmas break. When she returned on January 4, 2022 as she walked in her classroom she screamed because she was so excited to be back at school. This little girl can carry on a conversation like she is 6yrs old. I know she is learning so much at school and enjoys her teachers and friends she made. Thank everyone at Spondeo.

My twins absolutely love this place. Their language skills have exploded since they started attending and they also have a genuine love of learning now. Couldn’t be happier in the results I’m seeing with my kiddos.

My grand daughter started at Spondeo when she was 18 months old. How she has grown since then. Amazing how much her vocabulary has grown, she is curious and always learning. She talks about her teachers, friends and looks forward to school each day. Ivan the owner grew up in his Grandmothers Montessori school in Phoenix which has been there over 40yrs. My children attend her school and now it is such a blessing that my grand daughter has this wonderful opportunity as well. Just recently they had a group of animals brought to the school. What a wonderful hands on experience. Today it was Pizza for lunch with their dad's to celebrate Fathers Day. It is those kind of things as well that make this a top notch Montessori school. Thank you everyone at Spondeo Montessori

My grand daughter started at Spondeo when she was 18 months old. She has grown so much in her vocabulary, socializing skills, education, care from all the staff. The owner comes from a long line of family owned Montessori schools. My children attend his grand mothers school in Phoenix which has been in the business over 40 yrs. You couldn't ask for a better school to entrust your children too!! Recently they brought in a little farm of animals for them to have a personal experience with. My grand daughter was in love the the Pygmy Goat. Today was Pizza for lunch to dads and kiddo's to celebrate Fathers Day. They go above and beyond to make their students experiences the best. Thank you to all the staff at Spondeo.

In looking for a school for our daughter I was very picky about where she would go. I have very high expectations after working in the field of childcare and Montessori and want the best for my daughter. When we toured Spondeo Montessori I knew it was the school for her and one I would feel safe sending her to. The toddler classroom was peaceful and calm. The children were all happy and engaged in their work. The lead teacher Ms. Meena was happy to answer all of my questions and even sent me some photos on her first few days to help ease my mind that she was happy and doing well. She has been attending now for 6 weeks and she loves going to school. We have already seen so much growth in her and we are so happy we made the choice to send her to Spondeo. If you are looking for a school with high quality education in a serene, safe, and loving environment Spondeo has it all.

My wife and I visited over 5 preschools for our both sons under 3 about 2 years ago. Spondeo was finally the school that checked all boxes on our must have list. Cleanliness, personable teachers, small size of classes and healthy food served to our kids. We love this school and have recommended it to most of our friends. The management has been amazing during the pandemic since it started. We continued sending our kids to Spondeo since March thanks to all the great preventive procedures and practices they have put in place. If you are looking for the Best Montessori Preschool; it’s Spondeo.

We started our son at Spondeo when he was 2. As a stay-at-home mom, I had not originally imagined I would enroll him in preschool so young but it was clear to me that his emerging social development needed more opportunities for nurturing than I was able to provide him at home, even with the most creative and resourceful of parenting. Nevertheless, the decision was a tough one so I took extensive time researching and interviewing schools. Most of what I found fell short of my goals. Either the school was a glorified daycare, or it was overly focused on academics, treating 2 year olds as pre-K students. Learning is important, absolutely, but at 2, I was far more concerned that my son be in an environment that focused on cultivating his social maturity and confidence. The ABCs will come, they always do, but learning how to be a harmonious part of a whole made up of peers his age was my goal. Having Montessori experience in his background, my husband suggested that we look there and that is when I learned about Spondeo. Instantly I knew we'd found it. The school had an energy that was missing from the other places I had observed. Children were excited to be there! They were working independently and at their own pace. Most importantly, they were respected as people with valuable ideas of their own. Yet, given all that freedom, I was astounded at how well managed, organized, and harmonious each classroom was. Having no personal experience with Montessori values, it was easy to imagine "freedom within boundaries" meant one child would be painting the walls with mud while another was doing an interpretive dance with the glitter can in the corner. Rather that, what I observed was a warm, loving environment where children were respected, where they were expected to respect others, where they were working curiously with their hands, where learning happened naturally through exploration, and where abstract concepts became concrete through thoughtfully designed activities. In the 19 months we've been at Spondeo, our experience has only bolstered my impression that first day. Our son has absolutely flourished during his time here and it has been extraordinarily rewarding watching his confidence grow, friendships develop, and love of learning emerge. Miss Patty, his current teacher, has a brilliant way of relating to her students as individuals, learning what motivates them and using that understanding to encourage their best effort and participation. We are so happy at this gem of a school and cannot say enough about it!

Both of our children attend Spondeo and started young in the toddler program. We have had nothing but a beautiful experience with Spondeo and our children have truly flourished with the guidance of their amazing teachers and assistants. In the beginning when I first decided to put our daughter into a toddler program I searched, researched, and toured numerous places before Spondeo and each place I went...just didn’t feel “right”. I was that “first time new mom” hunting for a school that had both a toddler program and preschool and wanted to find the perfect place for my little that would bring me comfort and ease the “new mom” worry. The minute I walked into Spondeo I knew I found the place I had been searching for all along. I can honestly say both of our children are excited to go to school every day, they never fight me in the mornings or get sad. When the day comes that our children age out of Spondeo, we will all be sad as we will be leaving a part of our family behind, but I am so thankful to have found such an amazing place for our children.

Before Spondeo, our family knew very little about the Montessori philosophy. And while we still do not follow Montessori to a “T” at home, we couldn’t be more grateful that our daughters (one who is now 5 years old and was at Spondeo since she was 9 weeks old! And the other who is 2.5 years old and also been there since she was 10 weeks old) are experiencing Montessori in the environment Spondeo provides. It has been fabulous to see our oldest daughter develop and become such an independent, kind, and thoughtful human being, much of which we believe we owe to Spondeo and its staff. While the price tag and days closed for school observances is extremely HIGH (compared to other preschools) and Spring/Fall/Winter breaks are never guaranteed, we look at it as an investment in our daughters’ future and successful developmental needs. As a parent, the thing I like most about this school compared to other Montessori schools (many of which we toured and decided against or have good friends who attend the other well-known Montessori schools in the area) is the down-to-earth, approachable staff. And as with every other school, there are bound to be various challenges everyone will experience when sending their kids outside the home; however, I never feel as if I can’t talk to my daughters’ teachers about concerns or requests for their individual situations from day to day. I love that I can always reach out to the teachers to the other parents to the school director without feeling like I’m bothering them or being a nag (usually). They always make time for me and listen to feedback. Spondeo really has come to feel like part of our family and that we have become part of theirs. ❤️And coming from someone with extremely high expectations in general and even higher expectations for their kids, nothing makes me happier than seeing my child thriving (developmentally), enjoying her friends at school, and observing the personal care, attention, and genuine interest the staff has with our daughters. Thank you, Spondeo!

My daughter has been attending Spondeo for almost 2 years and we love it! We feel at home there and the staff is so welcoming and always willing to talk and answer questions. My daughter has flourished here and will be ready for kindergarten next year. We will also be sending my son here soon and we know he will be in good hands. I can’t recommend this school enough!!

We started my son at Spondeo when he turned 3 years old. My husband was raised attending montessori schools and we toured several schools around the area. Some of which as my husband noted were montessori in name only and didn't really follow the ideas behind the teaching method. My son really flourished at Spondeo and was able to learn at his own rate and level (ahead of the usual curriculum). We kept him at Spondeo for his kindergarten year where he really did well with being more of a leader in the classroom and helping with his classmates. My daughter started in the infant room at Spondeo at around 12 weeks old. She was a bit difficult and fussy as a baby, but the staff was always loving and caring with her and great with communication with me. She is now in the primary classroom and a happy girl learning and observing all of the time.We love the teachers and community at Spondeo. Every teacher we have had (and there is occasional turnover like most schools) has been wonderful and we have always felt like our children have been loved, well cared for, and thriving in the environment.
