A-mazing! Jovanna! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I came in with damaged hair (understatement), and looking like a calico cat. It was bad OMG bad!
Maj was awesome and her and Jovanna both looked through my hair in horror. Didn't lie, told me we had to work on health first. Told me they got me and relax. 3 hours later I walked out corrected. Feeling good! Looking good! The hair, like they put new hair on my head!
Everyone was friendly and smiling and worked together like a fine oiled machine!
This is my new salon!
Side note: everyone I've seen has said how much they like my hair. Happy customer.

If you have a stylist here that you like, keep in touch with them before they inevitably leave. Maj cannot keep hairstylists to save her life. I ended up just scheduling with her so I could have someone consistent to cut my hair. After I stopped coming here, a hairstylist who used to work for her told me stories about how horrible the work environment is. Maj also always smells like cigarettes so it was SO hard to sit in the chair so close to her while she worked. It gave me a pounding headache every time.
The thing that made me walk was the lack of respect and understanding. I had been a repeat customer for a while at this point, and my work schedule was flip flopping. I wasn’t sure if I’d be working mornings or evenings, but would find out for sure by the next week. Maj had convinced me to get an ombré (a style I like and have had before elsewhere) and I finally got around to scheduling it. Because I didn’t know when I would be working, I scheduled the ombré out as far as I could, almost two whole months out. I scheduled two appts, one morning and one afternoon, to cover my bases for when I’d get my schedule. Obviously I wouldn’t need both appts and would cancel the one I didn’t need when I got my schedule. Literally minutes after I booked the appts online, she called me directly and told me no, that I needed to cancel one because it’s not fair to other people that wanted to see her. I told her I was waiting on my schedule and would be cancelling one of them as soon as I found out, which would be within a week. It was clear she had already made up her mind and wasn’t trying to understand my situation, she just told me no I can’t do that. I guess making money on a color service she herself convinced me to do wasn’t that important to her? I told her to just cancel both color appts AND the appt for a haircut that was less than a week away. And she acted shocked.

Maj and Skye are literal life savers. I came in with a hair emergency as another stylist at a different salon butcherd and completely ruined my hair. I called in tears and was able to get in next day. Walking into the salon I was so upset. Maj walked up and just hugged me telling me everything would be ok and she was going to take care of me. When I tell you she fixed the disaster I walked in with fixing the cut first then Maj and skye fixed my color and provided me money pieces that I have wanted for so long. I had showed them my inspiration pic and what the other salon stylist did. They fixed everything and provided even more. I walked out of the salon with HAPPY TEARS. I can’t express how much these two mean to me, the kindness and care they showed is immeasurable. It felt like family being there. They have earned a LIFE LONG customer. I will be telling every single person I know about how phenomenal these two were.

I don’t ever leave reviews, but this is much needed. To start off, I have not had my hair cut professionally in about 10 years - yes, ten. I’ve had horrible experiences with hairdressers chopping off significantly more than requested, while also leaving it uneven. I absolutely love my natural color so I’ve never dyed it. I finally took a leap and decided to come here for a cut and color. I worked with Dominique and she was WONDERFUL. She immediately made me comfortable and was incredibly helpful, as well as Maj. Between all of our random conversations, I felt like Dominique and I had known each other for a long time! She helped figure out what would best suit me, while not going overboard since it was my first time. It was truly a wonderful experience and I can’t wait to go back. Thank you, Dominique!

I've been going to Maj's Salon for a few years now. My daughter and I see Jovanna who is always incredible. My son is getting married next week and I went in today to freshen my hair before the big day. She made sure to give me all the time and attention I needed to make sure my balayage and cut turned out just right for the special day! She out did herself once again and I'm beyond thrilled with how wonderful it turned out! I left feeling so beautiful!
My daughter has curly hair and Jovanna is a master at cutting curly hair. Not everyone has the special training to do it correctly.
If you are looking for a new stylist don't hesitate to go and see Jovanna!

Spent five seconds on my haircut, it looked exactly the same and wasn't what I asked for. Didn't style it at all and left a bunch of cut hairs all over my face.

Not a true black hair salon. Limited services for black hair styles. Although there is a black stylist, she only does certain services.

These girls have literally never let me down! I always leave here with beautiful healthy hair, and a smile on my face. Everyone here is so sweet and kind, not to mention talented. The prices here are extremely fair also. Truly love this place and super happy I found it. Would absolutely recommend anyone in the salon but I personally have gone to Renee and Chantelle, and both of them are AMAZING!!!

Got an amazing cut by Renee (sp?), she was so kind and made me feel great. The wash felt so good on my head, almost passed out, I LOVE my hair, and she just overall made me feel great while I was there. The atmosphere in there was great, lots of people laughing and smiling both stylists and customers. I can't wait to come back!
