The service at this place is garbage. The people at the front desk are rude. They don’t help you at all. Why be at the front desk if they are not assisting the client? This is the first time I tried to rent a car for this company, and it isn’t good!!! I had a terrible experience at the Gilbert location of this car rental company. In the past, I rented cars from other companies and received professional and helpful service, but the girl at this location was rude and unprofessional. Although it was easy for her to take my money, she was not interested in helping me when I needed assistance. Overall, the service was horrible and I would not recommend renting a car from this company!!! Only if you want to spend your time.

Worst customer service I ever had. Car was not ready, the didn’t have the one I booked, the person at the counter said, this is only car I have you want to take or cancel the reservation. Will never ever rent at this location, the are carless about customers.

Kay was amazing and took great care of me. I've had one of the most stressful weeks of my life. And have been without a car for the entire week. Due to spring training and spring break, all of the car rental places are super low inventory. I called all over town until I found this angel who was able to help me. She is professional, prompt and solved my problem. She's got me back on the road again until my vehicle is fixed.Thank you for good people who do their jobs and have a brain! Competency and hospitality are becoming a rare gift and I'm always thrilled when I encounter it.

Zero stars! Condescending employee that was extremely disrespectful and rude. Didn’t want to take my chime credit card which I questioned. He then began to list off other cards they DON’T accept.. he seriously said, they don’t accept library cards, Walmart gift cards or EBT cards… looked it up and EBT is food stamps. Seriously?!? I reserved rental through Uber which boasted how easy it was. And that I could use my Chime credit card or even a bank card with a large deposit. Which would have been ok as well. But employee didn’t like me even saying that. He laughed in my face and then insulted me. The person before me also got a sour interaction and left looked shook. Horrible customer service! After reading reviews, called this location to confirm my reserved Tesla would be available. Recorded message says they open at 7:30am, but the when you pressed the button to talk to an actual person; the message says they are closed for the day. Then when I finally got a hold of someone after 2 hours of calling, the gentleman laughed at me and told me “good luck” if the car I already paid for would be there. Thank god, they had a 24 hour cancellation policy. I am a gold member and immediately cancelled.

So far, terrible. I made a reservation yesterday for today with a pickup time scheduled at 4:30 PM. Then later, I got an email to check-in to skip the line at the actual location. I followed the appropriate steps last night, but got an error. I tried again this morning, but yet another error. I tried to call the location, and when following the automated system, it specifically said they are open at the time I am calling. I then try to speak to a local agent, but then the automated system says they are closed and gives me no other options. I am now attempting to go through the "car replacement through insurance" option and am just sitting on hold. Why is it so hard to talk to a human?! And why are you saying you're closed when you're clearly not?!

Terrible customer service. Man working the front desk was chauvinist. I inquired about exchanging my rental for an SUV and he lied to my face about their inventory. Dismissed me and told me he could not help me. I spoke to his manager, who was kind enough to look up my reservation at least. I ended up returning my rental 10 days early.Don't walk, but RUN to the Enterprise on Arizona Ave and Chandler! I went there instead and they were so friendly, so helpful and set me up with a great rental.

Lady working was very unprofessional with bad jokes and belittling comments! Overcharged me for a false upgrade! Car had no gas, wasn't washed, didn't do a walk around and point out dent in quarter panel, bald tires! Wow, never again! I will be using enterprise again where I never have issues and professional workers!

DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ!!!!!!!! My husband rented a car for me to travel to California for Christmas upon picking up the vehicle (although it said 0$ owed at pickup) the required me to put my debit card down with a 500$ deposit but assured me they release the money back within 24 hours of return. I returned the car vacuumed, a full tank, no additional damage then what was already there, and no smoking or vaping was done. Here we are 4 days later and it's like my money never existed. I have gone from calling my bank, and speaking to Hertz themselves and just keep getting excuses. So if you value your hard earned money don't trust Hertz with it

Wow! This was the worst vehicle rental place I have ever been in. First, because I prepaid with my debit card, the guy at the desk could not take my husbands credit card for booking so we ended up putting the 500 deposit on the debit card. To top it off I had explicitly requested a 4 wheeldrive vehicle and the guy did not have it available. To end they didn’t even have the password to connect to the Bluetooth in the vehicle. Never renting from here again!

Horrible location, manger. I rented from Hertz to drive a Tesla. This was the only Hertz location in all the south east area of Phoenix that had them. Waited 1 hour to get my car because they were cleaning it. The Tesla had multiple interior problems, also interior had a heavy smell of cheap guys cologne. Staff and the manager had nothing good to say about Tesla cars and how they are built. Unable to get another Tesla at this location. Manager said she could cancel my reservation, but I need this car and had arrived waited 1 hour to get this car.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a rental car company. The staff is rude and incompetent, there was still a hold on my credit card from them 2 weeks after I returned the car, I called a couple times and when someone would actually bother to answer the phone I was told they released the hold and there was nothing they could do , my credit card company never received anything from them regarding the release and now I have to wait 30 days to get the refund. Get a car rental from literally any other company but this one.

I am a GOLD MEMBER and love using Hertz. This location has Kay and Jennifer and they are the best in customer service. They went out of their way to make sure the mishaps on my reservation were cleared up and confirmed. They are friendly and professional. I wish more locations had such a team.
