I needed to cancel bc of an emergency however, Matthew at the Baseline and Greenfield was extremely pleasant on the phone. He couldn't have been more polite and considerate. He represented H&R Block superbly!!

I am very upset about the service! I paid $410 yesterday for a 1-hour easy-level tax return and got both Federal and State tax returns WRONG! The tax preparer did not even understand the itemized deduction, now there's a very complicated issue on my return. I purchased a tax software to compare the result and spent the whole day figured out the tax preparer's errors. And the tax preparer even did not provide me with all the tax documents! (I did not check the package in office because I trusted the tax prepare by default, but I found that I received only two pages on 1040 when I returned home.)
Update:
Raised the star to 3 because H&R Block acknowledged their mistakes and made amendments to fix the tax returns.
However, it is not a good customer experience overall, which tarnishes H&R Block's reputation.

This was our first time having our taxes prepared with H&R Block, and we are absolutely delighted with the whole process! We made an appointment online, and then had someone help us in person at a nearby location. I have to say the main reason for our score would have to be the tax expert who helped us, Matthew, who was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We moved from out of state last year, so we had documents from two different states to include in our return. Finding a tax service we could trust was very important to us, and this definitely lifted a weight off our shoulders. We highly recommend! Thank you Matthew!

I explained that I got an unaffordable quote of $650 for an S-Corp tax preparation from another company. The representative said she wasn't sure the S-Corp price, but she assured me that it wouldn't be anywhere close to $650. When I got to my appointment one week later, I was told by the tax professional that it would be $650 to $750 for an S-Corp preparation. The personal tax quote was also inaccurate. Plus they cannot accept files from a flashdrive...stay far away from H&R Block!
