This has been my go to chain for more than 35 years the Gilbert & Williamsfield store for the majority. I can tell you that the customer service has suffered immensly especially I noticed after Covid. All the people I knew by name mostly retired around then and a new group trickled in. It's been a quick decline since then. I believe Winco has the right concept with an employee owned business. When it hits your pocket you become more involved and motivated to really care. Saying that they will become my main grocery supplier along with a sprinkle of Costco, Sams Club, Walmart and a touch of Trader Joes at least until they fail me as well.
Here is my recent reasoning... firstly, this store smells like rotten fish with a side of spoiled fruit on many days that ive shopped. What a real turn off. When this is the case, I simply speed shop or leave if its really bad. The produce has declined so much where I hand pick and micro examine my purchases anymore. The carts & lot is not kept to the old standards its littered and in chaos. Today I needed assistance locating two items & after asking a stocker, 2 customer service representatives , a pharmacy staff with a badge not even showing a full name but the solo letter "J" and the store manager Josh I left empty handed and a bit saddened. I used to enjoy my short grocery get away. It was the attitude that was soooo disapointing. All but the young man sweeping gave me the least bit of eye contact or stopped what they were doing and actually walked with me to help find the items. Without going into their individual reactions to my quest lets just say they just didn't care it was obvious I was disrupting their routine. The biggest issue was Josh the manager who virtually ignored me zipping around like a drone on caffeine searching for the one item up and down the aisles. In the end his response was, "I guess we no longer carry those items". Funny, customer service told me a new shipment came in on Friday should be stocked on the shekves by now. No introduction, eye contact or concern was given or shown by him or the others really. I wasn't asking for an afternoon at tea just some basic courtesy. He and the others just didnt care and showed they were put out by my disruption. Fry's like I knew it is long gone, replaced by inferior products, high prices and lack of personability. I guess it can all be a ploy to get us all to order on line. Bye bye old Fry's .

Placed an order for pickup. Never got an email or text that it was ready. Our pickup window was from 7 to 8 pm, so I called at 8:15 to check. The pickup staff has left for the day, our bank account was charged $100, and the manager, Myra, said I could cancel the order and get my money back in a few days. So now, I'm out $100 and have no groceries for the week. I'll take care of it tomorrow at Albertson's. Frys is a joke.

Kroger needs to dial back the prices unless they want to end up like Bashas. Also there was some employee losing it to someone who parked in the wrong spot.

Upon asking Alexis (manager) in produce for (3) items needed, she told me that they were “out of stock.” I asked her co worker (Shanna) that was working beside her, and she checked the stock and found there was inventory of two of the three herbs needed. She kindly went to the back and brought the two items out for me, along with more inventory of those items and another customer came up and grabbed some of the items as well, thus there was demand for them! Shanna went above and beyond for me! She didn’t stop there. She searched the store for the third item (dill) needed and found it in the meat department! She also apologized for Alexis dismissing me without even checking the stock. Shanna should be the manager of produce! Alexis is rude, arrogant and disrespectful to customers! By the way, I had a cart full of items and I shop here regularly!

Bought an Amazon Gift card just to find a scratched out Nordstroms card in it. Within 5 mins walked up to counter to refund/exchange it and they said they don’t help with that and to call customer service who said to call back tomorrow to receive better instructions. Amazon package has no bends and was sealed, clearly they need these behind the counter. I won’t be back to this Fry’s ever.

Probably the worst experience we've had at a Fry's today thanks to the bagger, Steven. We waited patiently in Fang's line while she got through a bunch of people. It was busy at about noon. The customer in front of us in line took a while (couldn't get her card to work, forgot her keys) and then Fang rang us up. Awesome so far as usual. The bagger, Steven, doesn't get all of our groceries even in bags and then as my elderly mother is taking a moment at the register to put away her coin purse, he says, "Could you hurry up? There are customers behind." Seriously? Talk about rude. What's the point of being like that to a senior? I called him out and he just ignored me. No apology at all. Gross.

I don't know if other Fry's locations are equally disappointing but this one needs some serious managerial upgrades. Produce and meat are regularly poorly stocked and/or not rotated. Have a question, get a grunt. One checkout open mid-morning on a Friday and people lined up and waiting because only one bank of self-checkouts are open and only one person there to handle the inevitable self-checkout issues. The meat and produce really look like something I would expect at a low-end discount grocer on most days. Apparently the bar is pretty low to stay open in this market.

Went to buy something in their deli. 2 people working. I was the only customer there. One was talking to others behind the counter & ignored me. The other was slicing meat.. for about 10 minutes & kept saying I'll be with you in a few. I finally left, went elsewhere

Ron P. was stocking over by the yogurt and I couldn’t find my Chobani almond coco Loco yogurt so he went above and beyond in the back to see if it was back there and you never get that type of service anymore or somebody’s willing to go look for you and take an extra minute to find something you’re specifically looking for. I just wanna create a huge shout out to Ron, the gentleman who was stocking back by the yogurt that went above and beyond for me for my Chobani, almond coco Loco yogurt.

Tyrin from meat department is very helpful, I was surprised, due to awful customer service I've had experienced @ other (meat department ) fry's stores. He always stops what he's doing just to check to see if they have what I need. Good Job?

Most un-friendly, intimidating, Loud and horrible African American night manager(lady) at this Fry's store where I had to reach out to get redress on my medicine purchased with incorrect count (short by average 20 pills per prescription). This manager started yelling in loudly about what action I should take to get my medicine. She had the nerve to say "I don't care if you are even the President" ... You have to call the Fry's corporate phone line to complain about the pharmacy. I don't care if you get the medicine or not.. when I said till such time Fry's Corporate investigate the matter, how do I get the my medicine for hypertension and heart condition. This store has been our store for 3 years and this is first time I had to deal with a Customer Service manager of this nature.Fry's management ! ... please send her for a good customer relation training ... I don't want to step into that store till they have a responsible and friendly manager who would listen to the customer.Imagine my situation : I have no way to get my medicine refilled when they run the Insurance, it reports that I was issued medicine. It has happened on three drugs I take (Metaprolol, Losartan Pottasium...
