Nice people who need more training. Got bad highlights (too bleached) and toner (basically tonered over everything but brassy highlights in the front) from Mcayla so I went back and asked the owner/manager Denise to please fix. She said "I'm just going to trim a little in back" and did-I told her I was growing my hair out.( It's short ) After all that ,she erred on the side of red, with some brassy tones in front AGAIN. I now get to live with it because neither of them are getting close to what I asked for , and Denise was going to charge me 100.00 for the redo. I reminded her it was a redo so she said due to the cost of product and trim that I didn't ask for she'd only charge 50.00 All this to save money-I wound up spending 150.00 and look like crap.

I took all of Denise’s time today and thankfully she didn’t have a busy day and was able to complete everything I wanted. She didn’t cut corners (which I’ve experienced in other establishments). I only have great things to say about my experience at Ava Salon. I moved to Arizona two years ago and have had a difficult time finding a salon that meets my expectations. Out of semi-desperation I called the salon looking to get in on short notice due to an unexpected event. They were able to get me in the same day with Macayla. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Macayla with a smile and offered/made me coffee. She listened as I explained what I was hoping she could accomplish with my hair. As she set to work, I could tell she was paying attention to detail. I left there with easily the best highlights and cut that I've had in MANY years (and i'm picky)! While I was there another client suffered a medical emergency. The owner got down on the floor with the client, making sure she was comfortable, offering reassurance and assessing her (taking her pulse, etc) while waiting for the ambulance. Macayla apologized profusely for the delay while doing what was needed to support the owner and client in crisis. I will definitely be going back for all my future hair needs!!Services: Hair coloring

They were so nice and understood what I was looking for. I could tell they really care about their customers, by asking them how they're doing. I will definitely come back if I need a hair cut/trim. Rebecca did a fantastic job with my hair, I have been so hesitant to get a haircut because of how picky I am but she truly exceeded expectations. I also got some highlights which look amazing and are placed exactly how I want them. Looking forward to my next visit!Services: Balayage

I’m so glad I found this salon!! After a stylist at another salon cancelled on me last minute, I was scrambling to find someone to do highlights and a cut. Lindsay fit me into her schedule and I couldn’t be happier with her work!!! She was also so friendly. It’s so hard to find a good stylist, I can’t wait to come back!

Denise is super nice and seemed very well educated and experienced! I never know what to ask for when it comes to haircuts. After a short convo she had a clear vision and it turned out great! Upon leaving I made sure to book an apointment for some highlights in a few weeks! Hoping I found my new stylist! This salon has a really friendly and chill vibe! First, I arrived on time for my appointment and was told the stylist was running late. I waited 50 minutes for her to finish with her other client. Not once was I told how long it would take or if I would like to reschedule. Then she sent someone else to tell me that what I was having done would be quick since it was just all over color. She rushed though my service, and my objective which was to cover the grays was not met because she didn’t pay any attention, she also didn’t use anything to keep my forehead and ears from getting stained with the coloring and didn’t even bother to wipe them up when done. She seemed bothered when I asked her to blow dry my hair when she asked how I wanted it styled. Of course this took longer than expected and instead of being there for 2 hrs like I had planned I was there for 3 hours, I’m a single mom and had to pay for a sitter to pick up my daughter because she gets out of school at 2:30pm. After washing my hair she didn’t untangle my hair-it’s waivy and continued to pull and rip my hair- she later blamed it on my not getting a haircut was the reason my hair was tangled. It was not a good experience at all. The other stylists seemed much better, I had my misfortune with Macayla. Good luck!Service: Hair coloring

I saw Rebecca for a haircut where I needed about 4 inches cut off my hair. I always get anxiety when I get my haircut because I usually don’t like it for the first month. BUT with Rebecca I love my haircut! She did such a good job and listened to what I wanted. She’s great!

Denise is a miracle worker and has amazing talents. I first came to her over a year ago to fix my "at-home" bleaching session and she gave me the most beautiful highlights with no damage. I went back a few months later for another session. She is my definite haircolorist.

This is the epiphany of an exceptional small business trying to make it post pandemic. I was so impressed not only by the quality of the products used but by the honest friendly staff. No gimmicks. They didnt get me in the chair to only tell me half way thru the process there would be an upcharge for toner etc. The price is all inclusive. This is a legitimate classy establishment that I highly recommend. Ask for Lindsay. It is refreshing to see a young person with such an outstanding work ethic. She took her time and my hair turned out even better than I could have wished for. Thank you.Service: Hair coloring
