“I seem to always have a good experience at Safeway even when they are busy...which is quite frequently!Some popular items like coffee creamer, Safeway water, select salty snacks - chips, I experience are frequently out of stock. Just an FYI.”

“TL;DRIt is no 'Fry's Marketplace' or Sprouts, but I have never been disappointed by anything in the produce or meat/seafood departments. On average, staff is helpful and friendly. Sells Dry Ice.Fry's has fancier cheese wall, fancier eggs, fancy cream in glass bottles(sometimes) and Kerrygold butter! But their heritage farms chicken blows. And no staffed meat/seafood counter.Better than Safeway. Period.Bashas' covers everything that you truly need in a grocer, but if you are cooking for a date night you might need Fry's for a few elevated ingredients.---In terms of FH grocery, its where I shop; unless I need to stock up on Kerrygold butter or want to get fancy with glass bottled cream (Bashas' carry Danzeisen milks/nogs but not their cream). This is not a foodie location.I would rank Fry's as the second shop in town (but not that awful heritage chicken) and I pass on Safeway (which is generally more expensive but no increase in quality, you are just paying for the atmosphere and access to more junk food choices). If you have high cooking aspirations, you better be willing to drive your butt to sprouts if Bashas' cannot get you there...The cheese-wall is only the basics but always fresh, no 'extra fancy' eggs but good selection of midrange browns at a good price, typically out of the heavy creams they do carry, (the heavy cream they do carry is better value than Fry's store brand at the same taste profile).Good produce staff (willing to check in back for any item not on the floor during the busier holidays), and very friendly checkout staff (stretched thin during snowbird season). I don't often use the meat/seafood counter but the times I have, the seafood was fresh and the staff knowledgeable. Deli/bakery is the weak link, bad counter experience multiple times and now I just avoid, secretly that is how they want it.They have bags of ice behind self-checkout, and they also have dry ice 10ft passed customer service.”

“Clean store and usually has what I need. Self checkout makes things nice and quick. Luckily the elderly fools in town don't use that service as they have no idea what is going on in their world let alone how to use a self checkout. Bonus.”
