Fountain Park is a 64-acre passive recreation area located in the town center, built in 1970. The park features a 29-acre, 100 million-gallon effluent lake with a world-famous fountain that operates hourly for 15 minutes between 9:00 am and 9:00 pm, weather permitting. The park also includes 35 acres of turf, an amphitheater, a Rotary Splash Pad open from the second Saturday of April to the last Sunday of September, a great lawn event space, an 18-hole championship disc golf course, a children's playground and musical instrument playground, 36 pieces of the town's public art collection, a chilled drinking fountain, parking, restrooms, and five small reservable Ramadas. Visitors praise the park's beautiful and well-maintained grounds, the scenic lake and trail, and the friendly atmosphere. The fountain is a popular attraction, and the splash pad provides a refreshing way to beat the Arizona heat. The park also offers opportunities for jogging, picnicking, and enjoying the local wildlife, including coyotes, birds, and ducks. Fountain Park is a beloved community gathering place, hosting events like the 4th of July celebrations with fireworks, food, and music.
Every hour for the first 15min the fountain turns on from 9am-9pm

Beautiful and excellently maintained park and lake and mile plus trail around it. Although I live 20 minutes away, I'll drive there often for a walk with wife and dog. People (and dogs) are always friendly and courteous. Get there on the hour in the evening so you can watch the fountain for 15 minutes.
