Mike took this matter into his own hands and personally assured I got the vehicle out as soon as possible and we beat the 6 O'clock closing. The willingness to go the extra mile is appreciated! We have since spoken and hopefully are good.
The newest on-line scheduling and communication features have some issues. I'm sure I can't be the only customer that experienced or experiences them, and Discount will get those worked out eventually. Why am I still getting text messages and e-mails that notify me my tire has arrived, to schedule an appointment as soon as possible, and that my vehicle is ready for pickup ...a day after I already picked the vehicle up there? I am certain this is in large part contributed to the communication issues I described below in my original review. It can't be any fun working with a flawed technology, angry customers and the day-to-day issues of running the business. Corporate might want to put this at their list of items to examine...it would sure help the communication issues go more smoothly.

Been doing business with this store in FH for well over 20 years and a number of vehicles.
Today was a disappointing experience.
Brought my vehicle in around 10AM for a low pressure warning. Was told it would be likely 90 minutes wait. I arranged to get a ride after waiting about 25 minutes as it was just sitting in the parking lot, not even been looked at yet in a service bay. Got a call back around noon, told they couldn't repair the tire but would have one delivered and mounted today.
Was texted around 3:30 tire arrived, they would be mounting it shortly. Called around 4:30 to confirm ETA, was told they were working on it
Arrived at 5:30 for what I thought would be an easy pickup. Still sitting in the parking lot. Approaching 6PM still not finished.
I get that everyone is busy, shorthanded, overworked, stressed out, etc., but accurate and truthful communication definitely broke down here today for my situation.
Not a good experience...I hope your experience if you choose to do business with them goes better.

A little disappointing, but the people are nice and they have water, hear me out. So I brought in a wheel that needed a tire on Wednesday. Left it there and asked if Thursday would be ok to pick it up. Was told if it isn't finished today then first thing in the morning (Thursday) it will be ready. I paid and bailed on my doughnut. Thursday I had something come up so I didn't have time to go. Friday I call and they tell me " the wrong tire was sent" but assured me it would be ready in a few hours. I called at like 9 am. I pull up at noon, come to find out the carrier canceled the order for some reason. The manager assured me the wheel would be ready soon as possible, He put an expedite on it. 3 hours later I got a call to come n get it. they installed it for me and that was that. Awesome people, but they could use some work on the whose scheduling/part ordering thing. I'm sure next time around, everything will go flawlessly and in the waiting room they have a mini fridge with water for the customers... That's my happy thought about the whole experience. I'm trying to be more positive about stuff. Man is it hard.

These guys remind me of a time years ago- it’s called customer service . Clean, respectful and all up front. Very clean sitting area, no blaring tv on, bright and friendly. Mike is great but all the guys look like they genuinely want to help. Highly recommend

I’m so grateful for the manager and the technician at the Shay Discount Tire! They stayed late on a Saturday night to make sure I got home safely. They showed me immense integrity and kindness. Bravo!

Used this Discount Tire several times. Always leave happy with my service. They go the extra mile to make sure I'm happy with my service. They are always super helpful and happy. They do their best so it seems.

I came into Discount Tires knowing exactly what brand and size of tire I needed for my truck. As I parked Steven met me outside and greeted me EXTREMELY friendly and professionally.
We talked through my needs and the Toyo Tires I wanted ordered and the next day they were installed RAPIDLY and EFFICIENTLY.
Discount Tire is the only tire shop I ever go to because of the consistency of service, products, and their warranties. Keep up the great work!!!

I have never been treated like this by a business before. They were so sexist! The man who was waiting on me actually called me "little lady"! Then he proceeded to tell me that my 6-month-old tire (that I purchased from Discount Tire!) needed to be replaced. He tried to sell me wiper blades, though mine weren't more than a year old and he said that he wouldn't rotate my tires because he wouldn't be held liable for the risk. I left and went to Costco and they told me that I was nowhere near in need of a new tire. They told me Discount Tire is famous for lying to their customers and their nickname is "Discount Liar". I'm not going back again. I work too hard for my money to pay these used car salesman types for their advice. I think I know more about tires than they do. Don't waste your time or money.

Folks, do yourselves a favor and steer clear of this company. Go to Costco, go to Goodyear. Me, I'm going to Walmart. Good value, great customer service and I can do some shopping or get a bite while they work. Discount Tire are a bunch of salesmen who will try to upsell you at every turn. They will even lie to your face to get a few more dollars. God forbid you're a woman coming I. Alone, they will pounce on her like a tiger on a lamb. Just once - go somewhere else and you will NEVER return to this hole ever again.
