It has been how many years of bad reviews and this company is still in business, how can that be? Guess they must hang on by all of the crap jobs they do for Old Republic Home Warranty. They show up late. Don't have the right equipment. What more needs to be said. If you need a repair company, start with Z in the business directory and work your way up, because, you will most likely find at least a competent repair company for your AC/Heating needs. If I could give this company zero or negative stars they would have a bunch of them. And as far as Old Republic Home Warranty, don't even bother wasting your money on them. They not only use this sub-par company for their warranty work, they also don't provide all of the right equipment. Yeah, right, replace a condenser unit and hook it up to a completely different brand A-Coil. Smart right? No. Not only that, illegal under the new Federal Laws and it voids the warranty on the new condenser unit. Great Job Old Republic Home Warranty! But if you enjoy bad service and rude conversation Old Republic Home Warranty is the place to go. They make it as hard for you to get your repairs done and then make up excuses of why. Maybe Old Republic Home Warranty is run by 3rd graders that haven't developed a brain yet, but I guess all they really care about is the MONEY. Who in their right mind would pay a service contractor BEFORE the work was even started? I know this review is supposed to be about ARGO, but as far as I can tell, they are both at fault for shoddy service, since Old Republic Home Warranty requires their customers to use this "business". Strange that you can't even find a local address or business location for this place other than a house in a gated community. Funny place for a "WAREHOUSE", wonder whether the HOA is aware of it. How was it possible that they didn't realize they had gotten the equipment that was ordered from Old Republic Home Warranty, the house isn't that big. Then they schedule an appointment only after we had to complain to Old Republic Home Warranty since it had already been a month. Then the equipment miraculously appears and they call to schedule the install. First from 9-12, then they call and ask if 12-3 would work since they were delayed at another job. Then they show up at 4:30 and expect to install the equipment. When questioned they were only going to install the condenser unit and that the A-Coil wasn't even considered to be replaced. Really? I guess they can get away with that BS with a lot of people, but that just didn't hold any water with us. We told them (ARGO) to take a hike. We'll hire some other company that can actually do the work and do it right. And as far as Old Republic Home Warranty they can take a hike as well, don't waste your money on these this bottom feeder company. Just another rip off insurance company and their crooked companions.

Wish I could send them a bill for the mess they left.Home Warranty stuck me with them for my AC. They came out and tore my unit apart and said I needed a new one. Home Warranty agreed to replace it, but Argo never came back. 3 months (July, August, September) without AC because Argo doesn't care about the customer and had every excuse in the book. Including "Home Warranty sent an entire rooftop unit instead of a split unit for your home".1st) Home warranty couldn't even order the unit because Argo refused to come back out and get the old unit model or serial number ( I had to do their job and send it in myself)2nd) If they never ordered it, how did they send wrong one?Alan "The owner" is extremely unprofessional, not only how he answers the phone, but how he talks to the customers. He wanted $1,400 up front "I prefer cash" for things they might have to do. $155 to move a gas line and $375 to extend line set. (How do the know they might have to do it if they don't even have a new unit to see if it fits or not?)He wanted to charge $250 for a permit to install the condenser. Bullhead does NOT require a permit to replace a condenser. They told me I would save $100 if I knocked down the closet wall for them, so I did and they left me hanging.I was told they are no longer an active contractor for First American Home Warranty.If you are thinking about using them, I would recommend doing your research first!

Wouldn't let this company do anything for me. One of their drivers License Plate number CM23813 cut me off amd completely disobeyed traffic laws amd I almost got into a severe car accident. This company and their employees are dangerous and this company should be shut down

Do not use. We were without air on one side of our home for 8 weeks. My 92 year old mother in law lives on that side. The other side air would not compensate for that or in the kitchen. This took place when we were in our 120 degrees.

Where do I start. Our experience started with a home warranty covering out HVAC system not putting out heat at the end of December. The technician came out said we need a new electrical part. He replaced it. Two weeks later it goes out again. They come back and says it needs a new transfer switch. They replace it. A little time goes by and it goes out again. They come out and says it needs something else (don't remember what it was this time). A little while later it is not putting out cold air because it is hot now. After looking at it he says we need a whole new unit. However, the warranty company will not replace the whole unit and will OK a new compressor. Argo puts in a new compressor. At this time the warranty expires and we do not renew it. At this point everything in the unit except the coils and fan motor are new. Six weeks later we return from a trip and the system is not putting out cold air again. This time Argo says they will be out on a certain day, no show, this happens four times, they do not show up. Finally I call another company in town, they come out and put 2 lbs. of freon in the system and it works fine. However, two weeks later it quits putting out cold air again. I call Argo. I talked to the owner who did not want to do anything for us because another company had worked on it. I told him no one worked on it they just put freon in it to get it working. We went around and around finally agreeing to send out his technician. The tech. went up and cleaned some of the coils but not the main evaporation coils and put in some stop leak. When he left he gave me an invoice and made no mention of a charge and I signed the work order that he had been there. Two weeks later it quits putting out cold air again. Mind you, they have been here so many times I lost count. I decided to just give up on them and called another company. They came out, found the problem and gave me more information about my system and the problems in one visit than Argo did in multiple visits. Now Argo calls me to let me know they will be sending me a bill for his work. I was livid. There was no improvement in the system he did not resolve the issue and they want me to pay them. Might possibly take this to court since I do not feel I owe them anything. To sum this up I would not recommend Argo for any service on my HVAC system. I believe their problem is with the owner, his attitude, demeanor and policies.

Like other reviewers, I wish we could give negative stars. This is the most Unprofessional, Unreliable, and Unethical company I've ever done business with. After a two month nightmare dealing with them I now know why they have a "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau and are not accredited. They were assigned to me through my home warranty company after the warranty company decided to replace my 20 year old a/c system. I had a minimum of 3 "no call, no shows" which cost me 3 days off work. When they finally did show, the work and especially the work ethic was terrible. One of the workers didn't seem to have his own tools and several times asked me to use mine... "Hey, do you have a 6' ladder, hey, do you have a throw away paint brush. Hey, my blade in my utility knife is dull, do you happen to have one?" Amazing! My home warranty company finally assigned another "reputable" company to finish and re-do the work. It was then I found that when ARGO installed the air handler unit they never bothered to level it, causing the condensation to pool in one end with no way of draining. They left the old drain pan from the prior unit in place which was approx. 18" too short, but wouldn't matter anyway since they didn't bother to strap it up... they left it hanging down (see photos) so impossible to drain even if the unit was level and the pan was the proper one. The new company also had to re-do all soldered connections done by ARGO due to leaks and losing coolant. They (ARG0) removed two strips of molding and two drywall strips underneath to gain a couple inches width in my ceiling access to get the air handler in the attic. When they finally abandoned the job I replaced the molding, sanded, textured, and painted the access. Yet I was told by my warranty company that ARGO billed $400+ for "ceiling tear-out and replace." So, the appearance is that they defrauded the warranty company. I could go on and on, but just know that I have documentation and photos to back up my claims, as does the insurance company. Stay away from these people!!

Excellent service and quality warranties. Needed a new heat pump, they installed it the next day. Alan the owner was super. Would I recommend them. Absolutely, when they say they take care of you, they do.

This company has changed management and service personnel. Came for service yesterday. They were amazing, checked everything. Clean neat and on time. I’d highly recommend them!

I had exhaust fan in my bathroom go down... Technician named James from Argo was sent out to fix the problem... James was very polite and professional in and out within 20 minutes great job I would use this company....

Terrible, incompetent "technicians". Installed a new A/C unit for me 3-4 years ago (thru a home warranty) and did not connect the drain pipe to the unit, nor did they attach the duct work properly. Now there is mold on all the wiring because of all of this and I need to pay $$$ to have it all fixed. On another property (again thru a home warranty), they actually crimped a copper pipe and decreased the air flow by 50% just so the pipe would fit. I needed a new condenser in less than a year because of them. My home warranty company has even quit using them. So incompetent!! NEVER USE THEM!!!

Called these guys out to fix my stand alone Ice Maker as they are listed as a service provider for that make of unit. They came out the next day, clearly had never seen the unit before. They proceeded to take it apart and charge me $140. Told me they would call back the next day with what they think might be the problem and parts cost (they weren't sure what the problem is). They never called back, its been two weeks and counting. I have left messages and no reply. These guys are terrible. Be very careful before you call them to work on anything
