I loved banking with SunWest but the $25/month fee for using online banking with a business account was a deal-breaker. Presumably it was imposed by head office. I was very sad to leave the bank, to save $300/year.

Great staff, great customer service and they know me by name. It’s like Cheers without all the beer. We use this bank for our commercial account.

In bank, in person, service is of good quality. Online services offered and call service is rather limited and frustrating at times.

This was formerly First State Bank - which was locally owned. Sunwest took them over and since then things have gone downhill. While some of the old staff remained, new policies and fees were implemented. Sunwest won't even allow their staff to perform notary services for their clients. Additionally Sunwest has implemented a very low security, non-user friendly, on-line banking site. They also tried to charge me about $2300 just to renew my home equity line of credit. It's a shame that this bad corporation replaced a locally owned bank. I am looking around for a better bank. Bank of America is even worse. But maybe one of the others is better.
