I do a lot of instacart shopping at this store as well as for myself. Staff is always super polite and very chatty. I NEVER get attitude for being a shopper like numerous other stores. Store is always clean, doesn't smell, and very easy to find an employee if needed. The store layout also makes sense to me so I rarely have to find an employee to help me find an item.
Every time I've gone I never have to wait more than 1 or 2 people ahead of me. And they are really good about opening up a register if lines start to form.

No registers as an option here. Will not be coming here again. The manager and people at the front are just standing around getting paid doing nothing instead they are harassing people if they'd payed for their items.

Wouldn’t even let us checkout with the rest of our items because our kid put a bottle of alcohol on the belt. Cashier and store manager were completely rude and on a high horse. Called all the other grocery stores in town to ask if this is normal policy and they laughed as it’s not a law like they spouted off.

Best affordable grocery store in town, but they consistently lacking stock across all departments. We live in a mountain town, but the fundamental job of a grocery store is to keep itself stocked. If you come in anytime after 11 am, they are out of whatever the sale items are and don't price match or rain check, which is frustrating.

Their staff is racist, they get away with forgoing basic human rights, and the union is crud and doesn’t do anything to protect the non-management there. Their fruits are pretty much always moldy and mushy, and the president of that Fry’s is careless. Gloria in Starbucks go away with saying the N-word, and retaliated against the people who reported her for being racist, and the only person of color at the time quit because of it. The front end manager, Joanne also says the N-word, but says it isn’t racist if not used in context… blah… I’m done. Thank you for coming to my TED talk. :)

The people that work here get 5 stars from me
This is aimed at just the store itself and my experience shopping there. It's always super busy. I love their coupons for "on-sale" stuff or digital coupon items but they rarely have those items on the shelf or in stock. They are always empty and they do not offer another product for the same price as Safeway does. That means that I am wasting a lot of time and effort to go there specifically for those sale items and it is a huge inconvenience and waste of my time. I also hate the buy five-get-a-dollar off of each item or buy 4. I don't need that many items. I would like to just buy a couple at most, but we don't need four or five bags of chips or four or five bags of cookies. It makes couples or people that have only one child very inconvenient You just end up spending a lot of money and not saving at all or you need to have room for a giant storage shed, which I don't have, so those are the dawn falls about the store. I want to find another store that has the same deals or maybe cooperate could do something about this. I want them to honor those deals and be able to count on them being in the store when I've planned accordingly.

Ordered a specific sandwich from their deli department and got something other than what we wanted. I called, and they got defensive real quick. Must happen quite often? I'll leave it to the pros at Subway. :D

This frys has been confusing me constantly. I buy fresh produce that, in Phoenix, lasts me the whole week without going bad so I can use them for dinners, but here, they last three days and go moldy. The cashiers are very kind, I will give them that. The last thing that made me genuinely angry is that at the moment, I have ten whole dollars to my name and needed five of those for laundry, and the other five was being taken out so I could exchange for quarters for the bus. The person at the desk charges me a full $10 instead of taking out just the $5 and says "oh the system must have messed up. Oops." Soooo now I have a whole $0.20 with no clean laundry for classes. I'm actually considering swapping over to walmart now because their pharmacy is more competent, and the produce I have gotten from them has lasted longer. A+ to the cashiers though, they're the only reason I'm leaving more than two stars.
