I called and was able to get same day appointment for haircut. Ciera fit me in and was an excellent listener. She gave me feedback and recommendations based on what I requested to make sure I was ok with what she was planning to do. My haircut looks fantastic! I absolutely recommend booking with Ciera!

The lady who worked on my eyebrows was amazing, and very professional. However, the receptionist can be described in two words terrorizing and nasty. I spoke with her two times over the phone for appointments and interacted with her once in-person. Her behavior is over the top. The first time I interacted with her over the phone I decided to not make an appointment due to her nasty behavior. I chalked it up to a person having a bad day, however my subsequent interactions I experienced the same behavior. She is nasty to the staff and clients. She has a personal problem with others. When interacting with her she made facial expressions as if to actively intimidate. She conducted herself in the same manner towards staff. She slammed objects and threw objections around the front desk. The place was a ghost town and I can’t imagine her behavior can be useful for business. I have been going to this salon off and on for ten years when I’ve been in the area. I won’t be returning. I’m sure there’s plenty of pleasant people who would appreciate having a job and not act in a nasty manner towards staff or clients.Service: Eyebrow shaping

I have gone to Aveda in the past and thought I’d go back for a cut (possibly discuss highlights) and mani/pedi, eyebrow wax. You know..self care. I called and left a message stating the services I’d like. I got a call back (always when you are unable to get to the phone). I immediately called back and left a message. Well, despite another message, no call back. I don’t know what to tell any future customers who are ready to get a little spendy to feel a little sassy. This may not be the place to go.Services: Eyebrow threading

I travel a lot and know if I use an Aveda salon I will not be disappointed. All their stylists are experienced and professional.

I had the worst haircut here. I asked for a pixie cut and the girl destroyed my hair. She didn't follow my instructions and I walked out looking like a young boy hairdo. It was awful! She didn't apologize but kept cutting when I told her to leave the top of my hair alone. The sides were uneven. I still had hair on my neck. My part in the middle was off. I had to do what I could to fix it at home. I was going to go to a barber to fix the sides but decided not to. She didn't use hair clippers but a mini clipper for my sideburns only. She cut my sides with a small pair of scissors. That's why it was so uneven. I shouldn't have tipped her but I did. Ugh!

Evan is a bozo. He completely destroyed my hair. I told him specifically before we started that I had permanent black color on my hair and I wanted to slowly lighten it and remove the color. I understood this was going to be a slow process that would take multiple sessions and I wanted to go to a professional salon that I thought was good. He didn't consult me about what he was going to do he just started slapping bleach and foils on my head. About an hour in my scalp started to burn very badly. He walked away so I had to ask another woman working next to me to take the foils off because I could feel intense heat coming from them. They started ripping these foils off my head aggressively and after he was done washing my hair he started brushing it wet which ripped my hair and caused extreme breakage. I was in tears because of how painful it was. He was very rough with me and didn't apologize once. Another older blonde haired woman asked me what kind of dye I used. I told her it wasn't box dye but it was dye and developer from Sally's beauty. She was very rude and bitchy and basically said that this was my own fault and said "Well did you learn your lesson." It was extremely unprofessional and basically blamed me. I've talked to multiple other stylists and they were appalled at what he did and said that everything he did was completely wrong. He was being lazy. Unless you want your hair destroyed stay away from this salon but especially Evan. He made me pay full price which was over $300 when he didn't even finish the service because he gave me a severe chemical burn on my scalp which was an open wound for two weeks. So I basically paid for broken patchy hair and a bloody scalp. I had to chop off a majority of my hair because it looked awful. It's been months and my hair is still falling off. All they offered me was a free deep condition which I refused because I didn't want him touching my hair again. I would've preferred a refund or AT LEAST an apology. The older blonde woman and Evan need to reevaluate the career they put themselves in because they obviously have no clue what the f*** they're doing.

I understand not everyone has the ability to. It short hair, I believed what I stated was clear. It's seemed the hairdresser and I both agreed it wasn't the best haircut and she admitted she did what she could. The staff said I could come back next week to hopefully fix it. Will update review once I come back. But it felt like I just wasn't listened too when I set everything up front. I was a hairstylist for 6 years including my time at beauty school. So I know how this goes. I would've preferred if my stylist said "hey, I know what you're looking for, I'm not the person to do it. Let's get you to someone who actually knows how to cut shorter hair. It's looks like I have a helmetService: Haircut

There are several places in Flagstaff to get better service ( cut and color) but very few where you will pay more. The master stylist, Evan did such a bad job on my hair I had to fix it myself!

I scheduled an appointment weeks in advance for this Friday right before my senior pictures. They called me two days before my appointment and canceled due to their scheduling error. Instead of making it work, they just canceled my appointment. I have been going to different Aveda salons around the valley and have never dealt with a salon that did not prioritize their customers. The hair dresser wouldn't even make it work. I do not blame the front desk girls, they are just the messenger. I WILL NEVER GO BACK.Service: Hairstyling

This was my first time here and unfortunately I won't be back due to the price and the quality of work. I don't mind paying for professional hair coloring but the quality of work should match. I honestly could have gone and bought box dye and done 100% better and saved 115$ for root touch up. I went at the end of December and left with hair dye all over my forehead, my ears and the back of my neck - that stayed on my skin for a week. I had a huge line across my forehead about 1/4 down that was just pure black dye on my skin. When I left I still felt like I had dye in my hair around my ears and lower skull area. I would have said something to the stylist but they rushed me out and walked away immediately. The stylist did ask if I liked it and I mentioned I have way too much dye on my skin and that it looked rushed and they ignored me. When I went home I immediately took a shower and the water was black from the dye. During the time in the salon the stylist seemed preoccupied and rushed putting the dye on my skull and I had patches that were deep black (I have medium brown hair) and some grays still showing. It seemed rushed and like I was at a beauty school. I wanted to just drop the experience due to everyone being short staffed and having trouble with COVID, but now my grays are 100% showing. I legit had them covered 2 weeks ago, that should not be happening. All in all, this place is highly overpriced for the quality of work. If I was at a beauty school I would be more understanding of the mistakes that were made.

I had my hair cut by a middle aged gentleman (maybe mid 50's) mid August. I don't recall his name but he had a young female student with him and told me he had moved from Phoenix where he had his own salon to Flagstaff. When I sat down he instantly started talking about putting various layers in my hair. This was my first time getting a haircut in over a year because of COVID and prior to that I had had a not so good haircut so I told him all I wanted was a trim-straight across because I was growing my hair out. The initial results seemed good and I was pleased overall. I treated myself to a Brazilian blowout yesterday. During the treatment the stylist pointed out how uneven my hair was. She took a picture of it, as below. She was able to fix the back, but not the sides. I can't believe I've been walking around with such a bad haircut! I'm just glad I spoke up and told him I didn't want any interesting layers!! I wish I could remember his name but I 100% would not recommend him; the photo below speaks for itself.
