Hi - I used Safeway Golf Cart to install a lift kit on my cart after realizing the new backseat kit was too much for the carts original design. I also got heavy duty shocks installed. Safeway did a nice job and picked up and dropped off the cart on time. The quote never changed, even when I had a safety bar installed, and a few other tweaks made. Thank you!

Steve has been a great help!! We called him a couple of times for different issues with our GEM golf cart. He was very knowledgeable. We had just purchased our golf cart from our 80 year neighbor. We discovered that our neighbor wasn't charging the newly purchased gel batteries correctly. The initial batteries were purchased at Steve's store. He was able to save our batteries. He also helped us save our ignition issue without us needing to spend money. Very, very nice guy! We will definitely go to him for any further golf cart needs. He even has a trailer if you need the golf cart transported to his shop.

If I could give negative stars, I would. Safeway had our golf cart from the first week on April 2021 until December 15, 2021. He had every excuse in the book for the delays. He missed so many promised return dates, it was just crazy. When it was finally fixed and ready for delivery back to us, he emailed stating that we had to pay cash ($4299.40) to get our golf cart back. No check or credit card. This certainly wasn't communicated before today! Fair warning - do NOT take your golf cart to Safeway Golf Cars LLC.

When you first meet Steve the owner, he comes across very friendly and knowledgeable. He replaced all my batteries for approximately $1600. After doing some research I have found comparable batteries for around $1000. Live and learn. In January Steve replaced the brake master cylinder on my GEM and replaced the battery charger with a used Scott charger for $976. In February he replaced both rear brake assemblies for $1005. In June I called and told him the charger quit working. He said he only gives 90 days on parts and labor but he would replace the charger. He picked up the cart and replaced the charger, he charged me $75 to pick up the cart and $75 the charge the batteries (which I did not authorize). The second charger has never worked! At that time I also told him the cart was pulling to the left when I stepped on the brake, I thought that the brake lines were not properly bled. He said it was past the 90 day warranty and he would charge me $75 to pick it up and $75 hr. to investigate the brake problem. I declined and bled the brakes myself and found air in the lines. The brakes now work fine. I have looked on all my receipts and nowhere is there a 90 day parts and labor written on them. I guess that is to be assumed. Since the second charger was installed I've called him and texted him numerous times and he simply refuses to respond. If you are looking for a reliable business to take care of your golf cart needs, you should look anywhere but Safeway Golf Carts.

I came to visit my parents and noticed my father's golf cart had bald tires. I went to Safeway golf cars and Steve was very polite and helpful. Steve brought out four tires and gave them to me at no charge. Steve was very genuine and trustworthy and would recommend his shop to anyone needing work done on their cars.

My Western Golf Car was extensively damaged while on consignment with Fairway Golf Cars in Palm Desert, Ca. Instead of telling me and repairing the cart, Fairway closed leaving me and many others losing thousands of dollars. I found the cart at another company in that area and brought it to our new home in AZ. The cart's body was cracked, damage on all four sides, top was damaged, flooring was damaged and upholstery was torn. I took the cart to Steve at Safeway Golf Cars in El Mirage. The cart was returned today and it looks new. Safeway Golf Carts fixed all the damage at a reasonable price, within a reasonable time and exactly as promised. I have no hesitation in recommending Safeway Golf Cars to anyone needing similar work. In addition, I found them to be nice people.

After paying Steve close to $4000.00 for repairs on my golf cart, which included 4 new tires, I experienced a slow leak in one of the tires after a few months. I called Steve 3 times, each time he would say "I'll call you beginning of next eeek and pick it up". The last conversation we had he said "I have to find the paperwork in the tires". Who the hell cares? I just needed it fixed! Needless to say, I never heard from him. I ended up pulling the tire myself and taking it to S&S Tire, they fixed it for $16.00. A bad bead, which is what I suspected. Nice way to treat someone who payed you that kind of money.

After paying Steve almost $4,000 for repairs on my golf cart, including four new tires, I began to experience a slow leak in one of the tires after only a few months. I contacted Steve three times to have him pick up my golf cart to fix the tire. Each time I called him, he said "I'll call you early next week to come and pick it up". The last time we spoke, he said "I need to find the paperwork for the tires". Who the hell cares? I just needed my tire fixed! I ended up pulling the tire off myself, taking it to S&S Tire, they fixed it for $16. A bad bead, which is what I suspected. That's a really nice way to treat someone who hands over that kind of money to you.

Steve helped me by checking out a used golf cart that I was going to buy from a neighbor in 2014. He thought it was OK, but said that it needed 6 new batteries--this helped me negotiate a lower price with the seller. Steve then installed the new batteries, and did an annual Springtime check-up each year for a reasonable price. Now, after 4-1/2 years, it was time for replacement batteries, and he installed new ones with a "watering system" that allows me to top off the fluid level in all the little compartments of all 6 batteries at once--much easier than the old way. He picked up the cart at 8:30 a.m. and had it back to me by Noon. Nice guy, very reliable, and fair prices.
