I bought the babylock presto 11 . Loved it as it does everything for you . After first time in shop . Started to break down after each 3 hours of use. So far I have put out $ 500 for repairs . It's broke again . I followed everything on line . Theadin properly . Right thread . Never go fast . I'm a beginner and always will be as it in shop more then with me so don't get to use it much . No all of the cool features none work . Won't even back track . Can't change stitches . Also can't afford to get it fixed again . I'll probably sell it .

What a wonderful quilt shop this is. I’ve taken 2 classes (I’m an inexperienced sewer) and the teachers have been so helpful and patient. Even the other students in the classes have helped me through the class projects. Love this shop and would highly recommend you visit and meet the very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff that works there.

My mother and I went to 35th ave Sew & Vac on grand around 1pm 7/3/21. There were two women working when we walked in one of the saleswomen was talking to a man and woman about traveling in their RV.After the initial “do you need this cut right now?” As my mom laid a couple bolts on the cut counter and said “no, still looking.” my mom and I got ignored when we were ready. They were chatting and clearly saw us. She was still talking while we were waiting and the couple looked over at us several times along with the saleswoman. They could have spoke up and said they’ll be right with us but they didn’t .So after 5min of being ignored we walked out. I put the bolts back where I found them.

Bought serger I had already decided on from them. Machine ready as promised. Only disappointment was that it will be 2+ months before training class available. Fortunately I’m experienced serger.

The El Mirage store has a good variety of Fabric, Sewing Machines, Sergers, Overlock Machines on site to view and try out if you are in the market for something new. The staff is excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. I recently bought a Baby Lock Serger, during the demo the person was able to make me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions. After the sale questions and concerns were answered quickly. I love my Baby Lock Serger and 35th Avenue Sew & Vac.

For those of you looking at the store on Grand Ave (up in El Mirage) ... it seems the description and/or reviews on google maps are for the bigger store on 35th. This store has a fairly small selection of fabric, but a very wide selection of machines. It seems this store specializes in sewing machines and repair (not vacuums either). The ladies working were super friendly and we enjoyed browsing all the machines.

Great gals who work there, always helpful, glad to make a special order for you if they don’t have it in store. Love the classes offered and a full line of sewing, quilting accessories. Best of all if your looking for a new sewing/ embroidery machine, they have a great selection. Oh yes, a wonderful thread selection, and it’s close to home.
