Stopped by Wendy's fast food in camp verde tonight for dinner. Swung in the drive thru and they had me pull up by the trash to wait as my food was taking longer. As the groome driver got his food and went to leave before I could scoot up to provide him with more room to get by he starts spraying his windshield cleaner all inside my topless jeep then sped off. I would not trust people like that transporting my family. Upset for no reason

I would give 6 stars if I could. I live in Tempe and took a shuttle from Phoenix SkyHarbor Airport to Sedona for a wilderness day trip. I caught the 7:45 AM shuttle on a Saturday and my driver, Tony, picked me up early and dropped me off on time.
Tony gave us a bathroom stop at a truck stop, kept it moving, and treated me and the other passenger with dignity, professionalism and respect. He even knew a back route to avoid traffic, as the main thoroughfare into town is "put put" on weekends and sometimes bleeding into Mondays and Thursdays. Thank you Brother Tony! Well done.
My second driver, David, picked me up on time after a magical day exploring the Red Rock country wilderness courtesy of Cathedral Rock E-Bike Rentals, located right across the street from the pick-up/drop-off spot.
I was the first pickup on the last shuttle back to Phoenix Airport. David told me from the jump that there were multiple crashes on I-17, that other vans were stuck in traffic, and that his dispatcher directed him to take an alternate route to the airport even though google/apple maps would direct us to take I-17.
Someone I admire said that when someone does the wrong thing, it shows they just don't know any better. After all, if they knew any better, they wouldn't do the thing lol
In this case, another passenger thought it was the right thing to spend the better part of the the ride home telling this experienced veteran of the industry how to do his job in tones usually reserved for noncompliant children and animals.
David did his best to not take things personally while navigating the twisty, dark roads with grace, skill, and composure. He did not accept my offer of trail mix, but I don't take it personally. Thank you Brother David!
Highly recommended!

This is relating to Sedona service. I would leave them zero stars if I could. I had to cancel a shuttle trip due to a death in the family. I called to confirm usage of the credit and they told me that because it was due to a death, there would be no expiration date. I took them at their word. I called this morning to use the credit and they told me it was expired and there was no way they could reissue it. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she told me the same thing. Both women I spoke to were short, dismissive, unempathetic, and condescending. This company has just proven, like so many companies out there, that they are soulless.

I know that I can always rely of Groome Transport. When my husband's
flight arrived early. Call to see if he could get on an earlier shuttle. They made it happen. Thank you for always getting my husband to the airport & back home safe

I cannot believe that reservations are non-refundable, period, no exceptions. That is insane. I do not live in Arizona. I booked one trip, and will likely never use it again, a 1-year travel credit does not cut it.
Gave 2 stars because the woman in the phone was nice, but COME ON.

I’ve grown more and more disappointed with Groome over the years. I really wish there was a better option and miss the prior company/owners (I think they were called Arizona Shuttle). If someone knows of another option, please let me know! More and more often I find the trip from PHX to Sedona takes 3.5+ hours as the snake all around Cottonwood dropping people at houses before even reaching Sedona. Prices are also up to $68 plus tip and bag fees. Someone please start a direct point to point competitor! I’d rather spend more time at the airport than excess time cramps in a van!

If you are visiting elderly loved ones, rent a car. I exposed my husband to Covid and 3 months later, he has not recovered. This is an update to my previous review. On October 7th, I was sitting right in front of a woman who coughed every 5 minutes during Groome's 2 hour trip from Phoenix airport to Sedona. She mentioned to someone that she had been sick. Three days later, I woke up with my body aching and with a sore throat. I took a Covid test and it was POSITIVE for COVID I am 74 year old. I passed this to my husband who is 78. He has been sick with Covid and the after-effect ever since until this writing on December 16th. that is 3 months. I guess he has Long-Covid. The infection aggravated his slow prostrate situation, bringing his blood tests for platelets way high. Since then he has had swelling in his throat and knee, which lead to an acute blood clot. He is now on blood thinners. He previously went to the gym 5 days a week. Now, he relies on me to dress and undress him. I feel guilty because I took Groome Transportation which is a public transportation system for the poor and middle class. I should have rented a car and driven to Sedona, rather than expose my husband. I did not think about the danger of public transportation. Groome should provide masks and make some kind of announcement that masks are totally voluntary, but they can prevent you from getting sick or passing sickness to others. It can be a friendly announcement that just says "If you are coughing, our passengers would feel more comfortable if you wore a mask. We provide them for free if you want one." Of course, this is not Groome's fault, but they could make some kind of announcement, just like they do for seat belts. And they could provide masks for free to anyone who forgot theirs and now wants one. Remember-- Covid is not "over" -- it is still out there.

Over 30 minutes late for a scheduled pickup at Phoenix airport. Just something to consider when planning, scheduled shuttles may not arrive at scheduled time. There are multiple google listings, hopefully this is the correct one.
