The clutch burned out in my older, low-milage Subaru, and the first qoute I got to replace it was $3100. I checked with another place, and they quoted me $2500. These quotes both felt really high to me, but most people who I asked couldn't recommend a good mechanic. Finally, I called these guys because a couple of friends recommend them. Les gave me a quote of $1550 and we scheduled a date for the work to be done.
I had the car towed to them late in the afternoon the day before we were scheduled and joked with Les on my way out about it being done by the end of the next day (I was expecting a few days, at least!). At 3:30, the following day, Les called me to tell me it was done--I honestly thought he was messing with me! When we arrived to pick the car up, the total was $20 LESS than the quote (I had expected it to be a little over), and--so far--it's shifting better than it has since before I bought it used!
So: price, timeliness, and quality of work? Check, check, and check.
Now, let's talk about customer service. This place is BUSY, but everyone that I dealt with was composed, friendly, and professional. What's more, the other two places that I talked to left me feeling like they'd prefer not to work on my old beater. These folks treated me like I was driving a Mercedes! From my initial phone call until we walked out the door witn the keys, I felt like I was dealing with the hometown mechanic who took care of my grandparents last cars, most of my dad's cars, and my first car.
For everything from oil changes to bigger issues, this is my new mechanic!
...AND, their number is saved in my phone so that I can easily share it with the next person who asks me if I know a good mechanic!

Had my air conditioning replaced today, I'am always amazed at how nice and straight forward they are. I always come here because they are honest and explain everything right down to a bolt. Thank you guys I will and have recommended Express Automotive to anyone who needs a good machanic.
