A little spendy, but probably the nicest hotel here in Chinle.Nearby activities: Canyon De Chelly, jeep tours. Horse tours & plenty of overlooks.

Depressing and run down, that's my summary for this hotel. Our room is very simple, which I think is okay, unfortunately it smells like drains outside and to drown out the smell, they installed “scent” vaporizers in the room. The room smells sweet, but anyone who is sensitive to it will have problems. I would under absolutely no circumstances stay here again. Really terrible! Our room, especially the bathroom, is dirty, the curtains don't close so everyone can look in.The toilet almost falls off the wall when you sit on it. How this hotel gets so many good reviews is a mystery to me.The location, however, is good, right on the canyon. The city of Chinle is depressing, if you can, you shouldn't spend a night here.

I ate at the Cafeteria with my family. Their Saturday specials were Stuffed Peppers (which I had ?) and BBQ Spare ribs that my niece had, she liked it. I really like the historical feel of this place...it's the first Trading Post in the Chinle area. The Gift shop has some really beautiful Navajo rugs for sale, jewelry and souvenirs too. I usually buy their post cards and small gifts to send to friends far away. I haven't stayed in the rooms but I hear it's clean and comfy. I would recommend this hotel if you want a quiet corner Canyon de Chelly area.

All the comfort but much more character than the big chain hotels. Nothing fancy, but for a few dollars more, we got the king suite (#9), which was its own separate building.

Staff was helpful and friendly, room was clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. Having the cafeteria there was so convenient, and overall you can’t beat the location or price!!

Nearby activities: We took a guided tour of lower Canyon . It was very informative. The hotel is just outside the access to the canyon.Food & drinks: The food was delicious and they had a good variety to choose from.

It's clean, somewhat basic, but everything worked as expected -- it's still better than the Holiday Inn just up the road. I would have appreciated a newer larger TV that allows streaming and a walk-in shower versus the tub. Bed was good. The front desk check-in person was very cold and impersonable, but the people in the giftshop and cafeteria were pleasant. I'd stay here again.

Always have a good stay here. Cafe was open on Christmas 2023. Which was cool! Room was cozy and comfortable. Had no complaints.

Stayed there in early December of 2023 and appreciated the location and helpful staff. The room was clean and tidy. Great mattress but pillows a bit firm for us. Adjoining restaurant a real plus.

This is my 4th or 5th time to stay at the lodge. I was excited to see the updated room (I stayed in this same room years ago). The staff is friendly and welcoming and I enjoy the cafeteria onsite. Canyon de Chelly and Chinle are always a delight to visit!
