Note: This review is specific ONLY to the most recent time I came here. I felt like I needed to include the detailed review so everyone could understand that I am not just complaining because of a communication error or something that I was 'not happy' about that was a surprise.
Summary: I'm literally aghast. Like, flabbergasted as to how someone can ruin a haircut when you specifically ask for a TRIM as WELL as show them pictures of THAT boy with his hair cut exactly how he wanted it, I am astounded. My son was crying. All he had to do was trim the cut that was already there??? School starts in 2.5 weeks & his hair looks insane. Yes, it will grow back, but you CANNOT fix it. Like, there's zero way to add hair back on before school starts.
We asked for Timothee Chalamet and got Patrick Mahomes.
Details: I called first and spoke to the receptionist - specifically stating that I needed my teen son's hair cut, that the last few places had cut it VERY poorly, and I wanted to make sure I was booked with someone who could cut men's curly 3A type hair. She told me the only person who cut men's hair was Andy & to book him online; come in, and then he would 'assess if he could cut it'. That struck me as VERY odd, but I trusted and did as instructed. I should have listened to my instinct.
I have been to this place before to get my own hair cut, GRANTED it was pre-covid & years ago. I did have a great experience - which is why I was hoping they would be able to help & be able to cut my son's hair.
We went in, and the first thing that struck me was that the salon was COMPLETELY empty. Like, no stylists OR customers on a weekday afternoon. I should have walked out. The shelves were even mostly bare, it was SO weird.
I was very specific, said he wanted a trim, wanted to keep his hair long, and wanted to keep his curls. Showed him TWO different pictures. He said, "YEAH no problem!" Seemed super confident, ok GREAT. The receptionist said he would 'assess' if he could cut his hair.
Flash forward to me being completely shocked & saying "Wow that is a LOT shorter than I thought you would go." Andy apologizing, discounting the cut, and my son tearing up on the way to the car saying how ugly his hair was and how short it is and how he didn't even realize Andy was cutting his hair so short.
If you are going to ruin someone's hair, please have the decency to do it at a Supercuts or Great Clips and not a supposed upscale organic salon.

So this salon I went to did wonders with the details I gave them. So I did fashion colors and they took their time on me, they did a consultation to see my hair and see how my hair does on the products, then that same day they did my hair and it came out amazing. I had this amazing hairdresser named Trista lerdahl do mine and she was soo gentle and light handed my hair didn’t get pulled and she was quick about how she did things. She told me step-by-step, but she was doing so I was in the now about what was going on, but overall the salon does amazing work. The fact that they work together like a family is even better than I seen in any other salon. I Have a photo of how they did my hair and I’m sure you would like it too. I give this place easy 10 out of 10 they go above and beyond their expectations. I recommend having her as your hairdresser. She’s easy to get along with and she’s sweet. Very down to earth I even sent some of my friends to get their hair done by her too and I have photos for that too. Thank you for reading my comment and have a wonderful day.

I love this salon, I have been going here since before Covid ruined everything. Marchelle is my girl, she does the best color/highlights ever, random strangers compliment my hair, it’s awesome! The salon is clean and always smells good, no chemical smell at all. They have all sorts of complimentary beverages and snacks. Everyone I’ve encountered there is really nice. There are very few organic salons around, and this one is really nice. It’s in A really nice shopping area too, restaurants and nail salons and a frozen yogurt joint.

Trista did such an awesome treatment for my daughter's birthday. She was very detail oriented and was fast and efficient, yet took the time to explain in each process. She is highly recommended for anyone looking for a good quality transformation! :-) Such a great stylist! Ask for Trista!

Love this salon. Got my hair cut by Andy and absolutely love it. He was very focused and paid attention to detail. I’ve been trying different stylists for a long time and feel like I finally found my guy. 10/10 recommend

Pleasantly Refreshing! New Ownership and Management team are making operational and strategic changes and building a positive atmosphere. They are certainly service oriented and focus on providing a great experience. Especially if you love Organic, this is a great place to visit!

This place is awesome! I had the earliest appointment here the other day (9am) and my original stylist couldn’t make it but fortunately their wonderful stylist Andy was able to help me out. Very beautiful place, nice product lineup. Would definitely recommend!
Stylist: Andy was awesome! He was so kind, attentive, and professional! He gave me a fantastic haircut and really took his time to not cut too much off. Thank you so much Andy it was such a pleasure to meet you!

If you're the new owner I hope you have done a remodel and a deep deep cleaning. That place is nasty, I should have just walked out. Marchelle Padilla was my hairdresser. She might do better at super cuts. The place lacks professionalism and elegance. If I pay a high price, I expect more.

Absolute horrible experience. Didn’t get what I paid for, bad quality, unresponsive despite repeated contact, received an emailed receipt a month after my appointment, and unprofessional. Paid for a curly cut and full highlight. Ended up getting an okay cut and not even a partial highlight. Color was an inch away from my scalp, very chunky (not what I asked for) color, and only placed at the crown of my head. I contacted the salon within a week for a correction (per their policy), left a voicemail, and they never returned my call. I called again a week later, left another voicemail, and they didn’t return that one either. Then, I contacted them through their website “contact us” form and again, they never responded. I paid top dollar for the worst color I have ever received and experienced the worst (non existent) customer service from a salon. I don't really write reviews, it’s not really my thing, but if I can save one person from taking a chance on this salon then it is well worth it. Worst salon experience of my life. Run away from this one!!! It’s simply not worth it.

Worst experience ever. Honestly don't even know where to begin because I'm just mindblown I'm even in this situation. I'll start off by saying, Alyssa used to do my hair here but since she's not here anymore, I decided to try someone new. I looked through reviews and saw the one left by Amy Rowe. Didn't want whatever stylist she had, obviously if you see that review you know what I'm talking about.
So I call the salon, and ask about this review and what stylist it was so I know not to book with them "oh that's a fake review she went home and let her little sister cut her hair, we can't get the review removed" this 100000% should have been a huge red flag for me but wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. Huge mistake. So then I ask, okay I want an ombre balayage, who would be the best stylist of the two that offer this service? "either would be fantastic" straight up lies.
So I just randomly pick a name really and figured everyone was talented in this salon.
BOY WAS I WRONG. So so so wrong. I chose Virginia to do my hair. And when I tell you she's so absolutely clueless when it comes to highlights/balayage/ombre. Awful. Literally a joke what she did to my hair. A JOKE.
And then has the audacity to say she doesn't see what's wrong with it???? AND THE AUDACITY TO TRY AND CHARGE ME FULL PRICE LIKE ARE YOU BLIND MA'AM.
Thank the LORD Marchelle was there and had the time to mostly fix my hair. She did what she could with the time we had available bc honestly it was awful, so awful. If you look at the photos you can see the straight up splotches, super chunky highlights that look like they've grown out over a month. And I couldn't see the back but I was told by other stylists the back was awful as well.
And, then I find out that Virginia is the MANAGER?!?! Absolutely mindboggling. This lady doesn't know what she's doing and needs so much more training. I truly did not know how regretful I would be stepping into the salon today but, honestly worse salon experience of my life by far. BY FAR.
Virginia is clearly only taking on balayage clients because of the $$$ not because she actually has the talent to pull them off. Period.
And, to top it allllllllll off. Virginia's attitude is absolutely TRASH. I was literally crying so upset and she couldn't even apologize, couldn't even say she's sorry I had been there for SEVEN HOURS and that she basically ruined my hair. Not one ounce of responsibility was taken. She literally thinks she did a good job still. Insanity.
But once again just want to say thank God Marchelle is amazing, so kind, knowledgeable, understanding, and talented. The fact that she isn't the manager and Virginia is truly blows my mind. The fact that Virginia is allowed to touch people's hair that want a balayage blows my mind. ?? Okay I'm done. Just want to make sure others are well warned before making the same mistake I did.
I did my best to take photos and show how bad it was. And I was 100% clear about what I wanted. Showed her pictures of previous ombre balayage on my own hair. And she STILL DID THIS.

I have been a customer at Verde Salon for many years, and Virginia has been my stylist for a long time. She is my absolute favorite stylist! Virginia is very professional, talented, customer service-oriented, and very warm and welcoming. She has a lot of customers, and it's obvious that they love her too! Ever since she became manager, there has been a noticeable improvement in Verde's environment. I highly recommend Virginia and Verde!
