On what grounds my mother ever stood to recommend this branch I've no clue. 14 mins seated in the area to speak w a banker, both tied up with customers asking checking questions and 1 wanting to add someone to their account. The 1st checking one is complete and on his way out, that banker moves back behind the counter from this drawer to another, to a screen terminal then some visit time w/ the back drive thru teller, back to the front and takes someone just walking in the door for counter. Banker 2 has completed with her customer and as she sends him on his way tells another girl, what position I don't know and at this point could care less, "if you need me I'll be in the back". Really!?! I guess I was just there to evaluate..... if so major fail. Am thinking the best thing to do with my relatives accounts is to close them out and move them rather than keep them here and move to mine over time... major fail girls. I counted 8 personnel in the branch & one would think there were only 3 or 4....Looking thru the reviews, I'd say something got lost 2 or 3 yrs ago given reviews then and older were stellar vs the ones 1 month to 18 months ago have a lot of 1 or 2 stars. Might check into that.

I'm small fish and I know this $1B a year financial institution could careless about me... but i have not had a single "good" experience at any location. The sole reason I started my account was bc of a primary account out of state. The checks I deposited used to start the account had a 9 day hold even after the associated account had showed clear & funds transfer confirmed.. I had to wait an additional 6 days. "Due to a new account flag" My final frustrating experience is not being able to make a cash deposit. "No access to vault" seriously.. can hold it in a drawer or some other safe specifically designed to hold cash until vault access is available? Nope have to drove an hour to another location. Jesus I know the tellers and customer service people I've spoke to are just following protocol.. so I'm nice. I came to yelp to vent my frustrations instead.

Currently sitting in my car in front of the Sheraton so I'll just put a good ol review on every Google page to warn everyone to stay away.I recently had a highly frustrating experience with Truwest Credit Union that has left me extremely dissatisfied with their services. I have encountered numerous issues with my card, leading to constant declines and an inability to reach their support team for assistance. This has resulted in significant inconvenience and, most recently, left me stranded for two days, forced to sleep in my car.One of the main issues I faced was the constant card declines, even after I had requested the removal of my spending limit. Despite approving transactions through their text confirmation system which was delayed until the following morning, I found that my card continued to be declined, specifically over a $50 deposit I owed to a hotel. This meant that I had already paid for the room but was unable to access it, resulting in further inconvenience and the need to sleep in my car.Apart from the technical glitches that caused my card to decline, I also found the Truwest credit cards to be flimsy and unreliable. They hardly work anywhere, adding to the frustration and limitations of using their services.Additionally, if you are considering opening a business account with Truwest Credit Union, be prepared for a difficult and cumbersome process. They require an excessive amount of paperwork compared to other financial institutions. In contrast, when I opened a business account with Chase, I found the process to be incredibly smooth and easy.Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Truwest Credit Union. The frequent card declines, lack of timely support, and difficulty in obtaining a business account make it a poor choice for anyone seeking reliable banking services. I highly recommend exploring other options that prioritize customer convenience and satisfaction

Absolutely THE worst banking experience in decades!!! First month they did not honor my request for payment date and marked my account as past due now the second month they took three payments out. Stay far away from this credit union!

Horrible Experience! We got a home credit line from them, it was a NIGHTMARE process (they lost our paperwork twice) when we were setting it up. And forced us to open two savings accounts with the loan. We started paying on this in February, but in March our payment was $9 and we paid it but we got the account number wrong so it didn't go through. We received this months bill and it had NO indication or communication that our last month payment ($9) didn't get received. So we paid the bill as normal they got it. A week later we get notified that our credit score went down from 789 credit to 710. ARE you kidding me! For a missed bill of $9 that we had no indication that we even missed. When we asked them about it they said 'oh well we report all late payments'. When someone wants to ding your credit report they must communicate that you have a missed payment before they report you. it's the law. We will be fighting this because we work hard for our good credit!! Do not use them.

Great service and very clean bank. The staff was really helpful on explaining everything for a new account and they have great mortgage loan perks

When I first moved to Arizona I lived near a TruWest branch and I opened my accounts and from that day forward it has been a perfect relationship for me plus they have shared branches all across the USA and that is extremely important for me

First, you have to wonder why a Credit Union doesn't give you the ability to rate them through Google!? We have our Automobile financed through these idiots. We have had Auto insurance for years and never lapse and never had a problem with any finance company verifying insurance coverage on any of our vehicles until now. These people couldn't verify coverage and claimed to have sent us a letter stating they needed proof of insurance. They didn't call, they didn't email, they just stated they sent a letter over a month and a half before and had no response from us. Luckily, we are connected to Experian online And we received an alert that our principle increased on our vehicle by $3200. We logged in and sure enough they tacked on $3200 on our loan and raised our payment from $331 a month to $585. The description was "LOAN ADVANCE". It also caused our credit rating to change for both me and my husband. Since it was late Friday we had to wait to speak to customer service or lack of it today. I immediately asked to speak to a Supervisor and of course 2 representatives gave me the run around. After raising many questions, David from the Auto Loan department explained that since they had no response from the letter a month and a half before and there 3rd party Insurance verification company could not verify our insurance they charged us $3200 tacked it on our loan and raised our payment for them to obtain insurance on the vehicle and protect there property.... I couldn't believe my ears and I was livid!! Without even a call or reaching out to us directly to verify themselves our Auto Insurance that was the same insurance we have had for years they just tack on $3200 to our loan??!! Never, in all our years have we ever experienced such horrible and shady business practices!! As soon as our credit rating returns to what it was before this crap company did this we are going to refinance our vehicle somewhere else, I don't care even if it is more interest at this point It will be better than working with incompetent and shady people!!! Save yourselves and go somewhere different! We also have Vantage West and never had a problem and it is an upstanding Credit Union.

If I could give this bank no stars I would. I am beyond frustrated with Tru West's lack of professionalism and common sense. Their customer service is horrible and it's clear the customer service reps are inadequately trained. I can't tell you how many times I was given misinformation or different information from customer service regarding the same issue. If you are a parent DO NOT get your child an account here. They make it impossible for the parent to monitor the account and basically set the parent up for failure. Most banks monitor for fraud and alert the account holder if there appears to be fraudulent activity. It is very clear this bank is all about collecting money and not human decency or common sense. As many reviews have stated their fraud department is useless. With so many reviewers pointing out their frustrations with the fraud department I strongly suggest that Tru West's upper management seriously reevaluate the business practices of their fraud department.
