Dr. Larry Tamburro was referred to me by Friends whom have had him as their PCP for decades.

My husband has been going here for years. Dr. Lawrence himself is a great doctor - but his staff, is unhelpful and rude. The doctor will say he'll help with things - the staff will not do so and won't even ask him. If you don't work banker hours good luck getting in for 5 minute refill appts, my husband works 4am to 5pm, with Fridays off (the day Dr Lawrence isn't in), latest appt everyday is 3:15. He's had to go without his meds for days due to scheduling conflicts and them being unwilling to help (although Dr. Lawrence has said he'd help anytime - his staff does not). The doc a was on vacation, they wouldn't even do a refill for 5 days of a medication he's been on 7 years and can't just stop taking until he came in... which was after the vacation. When the Dr. told my husband in office anytime you can't make it I'll do a month to get you through and then we'll schedule you. Office staff says no, and "nothing we can do". That's not really caring about your patients, and seems to be a reoccurring issue based on other reviews.

I'm really upset with the way I was treated today. I've been calling to have my prescriptions refilled and was told I needed to come for a visit. I took a full day off from work to sort through this and other medical issues I've had. I literally saw the doctor for maybe 2 minutes. Nothing was really discussed and when I left confused - asking why we didn't discuss what I had initially set my appointment for i was told I need a new appointment. They had absolutely no respect for my time or for the fact that I'm struggling every single day mentally and physically because I am so sick. I'm leaving here confused today after I was shunned away. Once my new insurance kicks in at the start of the year , I will be finding an office that cares. The medical attention is Arizona has not been at its finest and this place is no exception. They definitely gave off the vibe that they didn't care when I told them I can't take all of these days off for the same appointment they failed to maintain properly. I'm disgusted about how neglectful they were. At this point I can not trust my life with this office and I don't think anyone else should. Why would they ask me to come back for an appointment when I already paid for the visit and THEY decided I needed to come back and pay another co-pay? They tried to scam me out of more money and I'm filing a complaint

I saw my doctor and the prescription was called in to the wrong pharmacy... Long story short, I've called Tasha and Sheema (office administrators) 36 times in two weeks and neither one return my call. Office personnel are incompetent. I hate to change doctors because of them but I will.

My son just had his 2nd appointment with Dr. Lawrence. We go for ADHD management as well as general physician appointments. Dr. Lawrence has been nothing short of kind and patient with my son. He asks if I have any questions and makes sure to be very thorough. I highly recommend him!

My Mother , 77 yrs old, has been going here for over 30 years. The last appointment she was told they are offering a VIP program (cost over $1k)They told her all the benefits that would begin this coming August. Which honestly should be what they offer ALL patients at NO charge. But now you have to pay extra to be treated like a human being. My mother made a follow up appointment. She went to the office 3 times told she can wait 1 to 2 hours or come back. The 3rd time they finally took her back and she waited over an hour In the room. She stated hardly anyone was in the lobby all 3 times she went back. The Dr spoke to her and it wasn't the original reason for the follow up. She was then informed of other issues that she was never told. My mother was upset and confused. Afterwords she was told to speak to a woman. Basically sent to see sales lady pushing the VIP program. My Mother stated to the sales lady she can't afford it because she is retired living off social security. The sales lady had the nerve to ask if her kids can help pay. No, we have common sense and not paying more for healthcare and services that should be provided FOR ALL PATIENTS. We are here to make sure she is not to be taken advantage of. I hope their other patients have someone to help them avoid this type of shadiness. After my mothers experience this week, she was convinced this office has gone downhill and will never pay for a VIP program. We are looking for another Doctor. They are taking advantage of patients and especially the elderly. Decent Healthcare is hard to find. They are not looking out for anyone's best interest, just their own profits. They are scamming more money from their patients.

New patients beware. The first appointment is bogus. When I called for the appointment I told them a need a physical as I had to change doctors. They said sure. Show up to see the most uncaring doctor I have met in my life. No personality and no interest as you in a person. Tells me you have set a second for the physical. Money SCAM. Basically questioning my scripts from my other doctor. Only reason I changed was of insurance. Beyond frustrated with that experience. I'm in freaking pain and to have someone in his position blow you is a discredit to GOOD doctors

I came to my appt 7 minutes late and they wouldn’t see me. Especially with me being a new patient, did not give me confidence in the doctor that I was going to be selecting for my pcp

In reading all the other reviews there seems to be a wide difference in the opinions and I wonder if it isn't due to the particular staff and doctors that the patients encountered. My experience was very disappointing and frustrating. When my insurance changed, I needed to find a new primary and found good reviews for Dr. Eileen Change and made an appointment. When I arrived I was told that my appointment was for a different date and time, yet I was certain this was the date I was told.Since I needed prescription refills and referrals to continue treatment with some specialists I was seeing. and could not wait to for the next opening with Dr. Chang, I agreed to see any doctor with an opening. They scheduled me later in the week with Dr. Conrad Lawrence.I agree with the complaints about rude front office staff. The medical assistant seemed rushed and did not seem to understand what I needed. When the Doctor arrived I felt that he was also not understanding what I needed and was not willing to listen to my requests and give me referrals. Neither he nor his office manager, Tasha Hardy, were willing to make a call to my insurance company to learn about the form (a continuity of care request form that is actually routinely used in the industry) which was all that was required for me to return to my specialists. The doctor said he had never heard of the form and could not give me the referrals because he did not know me, but that was precisely why I had made the appointment to establish care with a new primary at their clinic. He got up and left and did not even do an evaluation nor refill my prescriptions.I have never experienced such unwillingness to listen nor help me by any medical practitioner.

My family has gone to Dr. Larry Tamburro for the last 16 years. He is an excellent physician, listens carefully to each of your symptoms and issues, and is very competent in referring if he needs to. He is the type of doctor anyone would want to have. His staff is pleasant, professional, and have been with him a considerable length of time, which shows a good employer. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

I am giving East Family a 5 star due to the Doctors and their staffing that has been their for years. They are amazing team who is efficient, professional and friendly on the phone and face to face.

This was just my experience and decided to leave their practice. Don’t waste your time. Horrible service. No follow ups and sometimes duplication or confusion on what exams you just did. Not to mention they submit the wrong info to your medical insurance and you have been trying to appeal a claim for months now because their office failed to submit the right documentation. And despite multiple tries by phone, email and in-person to East Valley Family Physicians, no response whatsoever. At this point, I have to pay a huge medical expense. Also they did not report my findings of a CT scan appropriately. I had my OBGYN tell me that I had two kidney stones after she saw my scan and asked me did your primary physician not tell you? No!!!

So im writing this from multiple perspectives...a patient, a parent of patients & a spouse to an employee.I know Yelp like to screen reviews, but I'm not actually writing this from a biased position...but actually a unique point of view, from both sides of the "counter"So my wife has been there cumulatively for 15 yrs...i've been w/ her for most of & have "heard the stories" & I gotta say "WAY TO GO" to current mgmt, im not sure how the past leadership woulda handled covid...& thanks for paying attention & taking care of employees like my wife that truly do care, for not just the patients, but the staff & ya'll in leadership, as well...thank you S & T, she cares soooo much, thank you for noticing.Now...as a patient, I've def'ly gotta say, I've been very impressed w/ the professionalism & compassion that ya'll've shown thru these "interesting" times...well done...espec'ly the hot redhead up front;)
