Will never buy a San Tan product again. Purchased the billeted AR15 receiver set for what appeared to be a good deal. The amount of problems this receiver set has from the factory is astounding. The most recent issue involves the bolt catch being undersized. It doesn't lock the bolt back, no matter how hard you press it. I called customer service, and they told me to "just take an allen wrench and pry it over from the other side." That didn't work, so I ordered a new bolt catch. That also didn't work, so I had to take it to a local gunsmith. At the end of the day, just buy a different receiver set. It will be the same price or cheaper because you won't need to take it to a gunsmith to get it to function properly.

Will never buy a San Tan product again. Was so excited for my billeted receiver set and since then have had nothing but issues. The forward assist broke off upon putting the BCG in, the bolt catch was oversized and I had to go to a gunsmith to help correct the issue. I will NEVER recommend or buy their products again. Save the hassle and get an AMDG, Radian, LaRue, KAC, Etc (anything but SanTan). Your wallet and your frustration will be saved heavily.

Tread cautiously with this company. When you need their support or customer service they do not respond back. Tried emailing, called twice and FB messaged twice and nothing back. Don't believe me? Read some of their lowest rated comments here and on FB and it's a clear trend of ignoring the customer when the customer needs them.

Bad product. Barrel fit is too tight causing jams. Company won't do anything about it.EDIT:3/7/22First of all, I would like to thank Codi for reaching out, I really did not expect that to happen after so long.Secondly, I would like to thank the guys at Santan Brendan, Sergio and Chuck. They are awesome people.Long story short, none of those people was there when I originally bought the upper and lower. For Codi to reach out when he had nothing to do with the original product tells you what type of company they are now. He had Brendan at the local location reach out to me and I was on my way to exchange the items. Keep in mind, I bought this 8 years ago and only left a bad review 2 years ago as I kept trying to find parts to work.All the guys there was good people. They looked at the upper and saw that it had some tolerance issues that caused my upper to jam(my serial number was 1XXX and was a pre order and the prior owner just told me to break it in)I am extremely happy with the resolution and now I cannot "not recommend" them any longer. The uppers and lowers that I saw at the shop today also look like top notch stuff. I can tell the guys really take pride in their work.

Needed an upper the day before a match called around Brendon offered to attach my handguard and barrel while my GF waited and I was able to go to my 3-Gun match the next day. Getting matching lower when one comes in stock locally

Wow I built 4 ARs on Aero Precision and have never seen upper and lowers that mated perfectly like these San Tan Tac matched sets. Thank you Brendon! You were super helpful. Great customer service.

Brendan, not sure his position, is very rude. Horrible customer service here. If you have issues with their products( online purchase) they will not answer emails or block your number. They do not adhere to their own shipping policy and offer no solutions when there are delays. They are not BBB accredited, makes sense. Look up their BBB reviews and you will see much of the same. Don't waste your time or money. Palmetto state armory has superior customer service.

About three weeks ago I purchase a matching set of their Billet Receiver. Started the build, tested the mag release, and the mag release button(s), doesn't release the magazine. I reached out to San Tan Tactical, got a great immediate response telling me they would ship me new parts. That was three weeks ago, no parts yet.Yesterday I sent another email, letting them know I had attempted to reach them three times, twice via email, once via phone, no response. This afternoon I received an email from Brendan, the Production Manager, his email stated "Your parts have been shipped please check your mailbox". No apology, no offer to help, no tracking number for the parts they said they sent. Very disappointing in their customer service.Update: Brendan, the Production Manager reached out, absolutely made things right, shipped the parts I needed to replace the ambi lever mag release, took less than 10 minutes, works perfectly, thank you Brendan! This receiver set is superb, the ambi controls really make this a perfect receiver set, everything is well thought out. Will buy this receiver set again for my next build for sure.

I bought their SST ambidextrous lower. EXCELLENT finish, fit and attention to detail, along with the best finger placement controls (to me). What made the difference is that these guys went above and beyond to help me out before and after the sale. Excellent product and superb customer service. I’ll definitely buy from here again and highly recommend.

Brendan, the customer service manager, was able to get me in to replace a worn-out mag release on a 3 minute-notice. Replaced the release with a newer model in 10 minutes and sent me on my way with a spare. This is how customer service should be done.

Upper and lower fit really tight to the point where it is difficult to insert take down pins. Raptor charging handle jams up inside up the upper and it is nearly impossible to pull with one hand. The upper is not compatible with other lowers and least but not least the ambi mag release is garbage. It doesn’t release from the left side and the right side doesn’t eject properly either.

These guys really take care of you. If you are active duty military, buy from San Tan Tactical. You wont regret it!!
