What a disappointment. The Branch Supervisor had a very negative demeanor to her right from the beginning. I asked her a question regarding past transactions to my account and rather than listen to fully understand what I was trying to convey she made it a point to give me the answer she deemed correct. I have been to this branch several times and made the same type of transaction request in the past with no issues. When I asked her for the Branch Manager because of her unwillingness to validate or inquire on my request, she became very firm on her stance and made it known she was the branch Supervisor. In the end it’s not about the transaction. It’s about the poor customer service on her part. If you’re having a bad day take a walk. Don’t put out your negativity on the branch floor and expect customers to deal with you.

Went in to try and look at rates for home equity. Lady put on smile and friendly face however was not helpful and appeared more bothered than wanting to help me get a loan. To me her math didn’t add up on monthly payment and when I check online with to other banks with same numbers payment was almost half. I went back in to ask her about it and all she could say was “I don’t know numbers are what they are when I put them into computer.” Anyways went with diffrent bank, lower terms and lower payment. Her math was put in wrong somewhere and rather ing than rechecking she dismissed it. Well it cost her a customer.

Great bank but pretty revealing that you couldn’t outbid the children’s coffee joint next door to have a drive-thru.

I would definitely give 0 star if there is an option. I don’t typically do reviews because I am pretty busy. If it’s an incredible service then I take my time to write it but if it’s not impressive or bad service, I just don’t go back to those places. This one I just have to write and report. The checking account and saving account were opened when my son joined the Navy before his camp. He came back from the camp in March, this bank kept letting him use a line of credit although they saw that no income (direct deposit) was coming in. I was a joint person in those accounts. I was scrolling through my credit karma account and found out there was over $500 from Navy Federal Credit Union account was reported so I spoke (screamed) to my son for using the account while there was no money, asked him to shred the debit card and delete that card info on any accounts such as Google, Amazon etc…. Which he did. . In June, the day I found out, my son and I contacted the bank, I paid off over $500 and tried to close the accounts. I was on the phone for about 2 hours, and they transferred back and forth to different people about verifying. Finally, they said they closed the checking account. Then, they transferred me again to someone else for saving account as my son has a certificate of some sort, she asked us a bunch of questions, then transferred back to someone else, that person said, I can’t close the saving account as your payment to checking line of credit was not reflective yet so wait for 24 hours and call back to close. My fault really, never had a chance to call to close that saving account, again because I am busy doing life. Then, I was on my credit karma account again and saw over $300 for that Bank (Navy Federal Credit Union) again. So I called yesterday, again I spoke to 2 different people, the second lady said the charges were coming out and there was no money in the savings account, so they reopened the checking account and let the line of credit be paid for those charges. How is that even possible? I have NEVER had the bank letting all the charges be paid without any deposit coming in for the past 5 months. ***Decline those transactions***. She said I can pay what was owed but I can’t close that account because I am a joint person. I called my son and screamed at him for being ignorant without having an income. He said he had no clue what the charges were, so he called the bank and told them that those charges were not made by him. This bank is a FRAUD working with fraudulent people. This time I will make sure I go to the bank with my son and close those both accounts ASAP. I will make time this week although I am working 11 days straight. Be aware…..this is unheard of…..don’t have money in the account, STOP THOSE TRANSACTIONS, DECLINE DECLINE DECLINE…. That's what you are supposed to do…..

I would like to put in a good word for the service I received from "Van" at the Chandler, AZ branch. Van was very professional, listened to my description of my current situation and acted immediately to get me the best outcome I could get. She was proactive in getting me a refinance on a bad auto loan I had entered into 3 months ago, securing me a great rate with great terms. I had been told no, no, no by several banks and didn't believe I had a chance at actually securing a refinance. Van saw no problem, got me the loan and even set me up with a cashRewards Visa to help me consolidate higher interest debt and give me some breathing room in my current situation. It is so nice to know that there is still personal service being provided somewhere in the "personal banking" world.

Very disappointed in the service received at this branch. Had a meeting for a mortgage loan (Tuesday) only to receive a call at end of day (Thursday) from the loan officer (Nichole K.) that they were missing half the application and needed the information again. She also informed me they would not be in office until Tuesday of next week so we essentially just wasted a whole week... The lack of organization and urgency is concerning and I am having second thoughts about using them for a loan

Now these people tell you they are here to help the armed forces, not so much when I wanted a simple transaction done.

I am a Navy Federal member. I came to deposit $$ into my bank account at the atm outside of this location on a Sunday evening. The ATM took my money, failed to deposit it into my bank account and proceeded to print out an error message telling me something went wrong and to contact my financial institution. It did not give me back the money I deposited nor did it post to my account. Their ATM literally stole from me.I immediately called Navy Federal. As a member I expected this to be resolved ASAP with urgency. Instead the first person to answer tells me he will transfer me to the "disputes" department. While on hold, the automated system told me there was a 3-4 hour hold for that department and that I would he placed on a call back queue! Are you kidding me? Fine. I waited.I finally get the call back. The lady was completely unempathetic of the situation. She told me it could take 5-10 BUSINESS DAYS to "investigate" this incident! Are you serious?! I need this money now and this is Navy Federal's mistake. There should be URGENCY! I explained I was not the only one struggling with the ATM and that it should be noted as OUT OF SERVICE IMMEDIATELY so no one else has to go through this! She said "yeah I wrote a note about it on your claim". It seems she wrote that note on my case and not actually put an alert that the ATM is down in real time! I am completely repulsed by Navy Federal.I asked what am I supposed to do? I need this money and got forbid it happens again in the future with large sum of cash. She then said "you can go to the branch if you want to discuss this further" WTH. With technology these days, ATMs can be audited within minutes for extra or missing cash and it does not take 5-10 BUSINESS days. She said they would not even offer provisional credit until the 5TH BUSINESS DAY of claim! Navy Federal does not care about its members!
