If you love your pet DONT bring them here my suggestion Las Sendas Animal Hospital is so worth the drive and money. I’ve had TWO HORRID experiences here the first one is I brought my dog Pepper after she gave birth to be seen get the shot they are supposed to after giving birth he said she was fine and didn’t need anything. Pepper died 2 days later my dog was energetic and healthy up to giving birth. I was wrong for assuming Pepper just got sick. The second was with Pretzel, Pretzels left eye was swollen and had a bump on his eye I took him in APRIL and told him about it I was given some ointment and told it was irritation and allergies after it not getting better I returned a 2nd time. The 2nd time he said the same thing and gave me the same antibiotic. The 3rd time he said the same thing. On Friday I had to RUSH my dog to an Animal hospital because his eye was bleeding the vet had him for all of 3 minutes when she saw there was something in that bump causing this whole ordeal. Pretzel was sedated and it was removed something that should have happened in APRIL when I took him in the first time. I’m telling you don’t take your pets here you’ll regret it.

Buddy the cat was cured after about a week of treatment... nobody in my town helped him with his problem and the staff here were amazing and super friendly and even provided a follow up call. Who does that these days? Meds and everything was less than a hundred bucks. Cat felt comfortable also considering there's a separate cat entrance and waiting room! I could say more... Worth the two hour drive for me.

My mothers dog needs surgery on Tuesday so I found a low cost mobile clinic that would do the surgery as her dogs eye was accidentally hit when she ran into a blunt object and went blind. She’s in extreme pain so I have tried to act as quickly as possible to help her. I have tried all conservative ways to help save the dogs eye including antibiotics and a shot directly into the eye which was over $1200. The mobile clinic requested we get lab work given the dogs age and type of surgery and gave me this unethical vets name as a provider that could do bloodwork. Dr Danesh refused to help with doing labs and stated he would only perform bloodwork if he were to do the surgery and would charge $1300 plus to remove the dogs eye. This doctor and practice will be reported to the state as being an unethical vet practice and others need to know what they are doing. Stay away they are for profit and not looking out for your animals best interest. I am having to help my mom pay for the surgery which is $600 through AZVet mobile clinic and they are highly reputable and travel the East valley to help those animals in need. Shame on Dr Danesh and looking ant dollar signs and this practice for denying bloodwork for a senior dog that needs surgery. I told them we are paying for a service and I called ahead to make sure they would do it and got a quote for labs from their office. That’s unethical!

I used to be a loyal customer of Chandler Small Animal Clinic for six years and always admired the exceptional care provided by Dr. Dwight Benesh and the compassionate nature of the staff. However, over the past year, my experiences have been increasingly disappointing due to significant changes in the staff.
The new staff members have been notably inefficient and have failed to communicate effectively with clients. I was left waiting for over an hour and a half for one appointment without any prior notification of the delays. During this visit, after being seated in an exam room, I had to inquire about the prolonged wait, only to be informed that the vet was running behind schedule. After waiting for an additional 30 minutes with no update, I ultimately left without being seen.
My most recent and devastating experience occurred when I brought in my nearly 17-year-old Shih Tzu / Lhasa Apso mix, who was suffering from severe seizures. Unfortunately, I had to make the heart-wrenching decision to put her down. While Dr. Dwight handled the examination and the procedure with care and professionalism, the overall lack of organization and communication from the staff only added to the emotional distress of the situation.
After the procedure, we were told we could have some time alone with our sweet little dog to say our goodbyes, but before we had even had a chance to process our grief, a technician rudely interrupted us to inquire about payment. This lack of tact and consideration during such a sensitive moment was deeply upsetting.
To make matters worse, weeks later, we received a card from the clinic with the signatures of the staff and the paw prints and partial face print of our beloved pet. While I understand that they may have intended this gesture to be thoughtful, the idea of subjecting our sweet dog's white face to an ink pad for a face print seems incredibly inappropriate and distressing. The thought of her having ink all over her face left me questioning what other insensitive actions may have occurred after we left. It felt like an afterthought, and the careless placement of the paw and nose prints on scraps of paper only added to the distress.
Despite my previous positive experiences with Dr. Dwight, the unprofessionalism and lack of empathy displayed by the new staff have left me with a deep sense of disappointment. Regrettably, I cannot in good conscience recommend Chandler Small Animal Clinic to anyone after this last distressing experience. It's a shame that the actions of the staff overshadow the care provided by the veterinarian.

Glad I found this place for my cat and dog care, I have always had a good experience with the staff and love Dr B! With all my rescues, having to say goodbye is the hardest and having to do it here was a good experience. Thoughtful staff and a great discreet space created to send your baby over the rainbow bridge.

Dr. Benesh is fine, but I had a run-in with Karen, the office manager over a Scheduling issue. She was extremely condescending, disrespectful, rude and unprofessional. She went so far as to refuse to treat my cat unless I sat quietly without interrupting her "School Marm" admonishing diatribe in front of an employee. Then she removed my contact information from my cat without my knowledge or consent.I like Dr. Benesh, but I'm not putting up with rude and disrespectful behavior from the help.I see Karen chose to rebut my review, so I'll provide more detail: Her office promised a surgery appointment on Monday, so we took time off from work to be with our cat after surgery. We were assured this wouldn't be a problem, so we made the arrangements. After four calls asking for a callback throughout the day and getting nothing but voicemail, we finally got a return call at the end of the day, setting an appointment for Wednesday. As this was not what was promised, a minor, two-minute argument ensued, which evidently left the office staff "in tears".When we arrived for our appointment, Karen, the office manager, intervened. She began a condescending, rude, completely disrespectful and unprofessional diatribe in front of an employee, shoving my cat's records at me and refusing to treat him unless I sat quietly for her admonishment. When she made false statements about me "bullying" he staff (I did not) and I tried to point out the inaccuracies she was proporting, she again shoved my cat's records at me and refused treatment "unless I sat quietly until she was finished." I wasn't going to put up with her abuse, so I left the room.My GF was reviewing our contact information with Karen, and I was the primary contact. Karen told her, "Oh no, we're NOT going to call him!" My GF said she could be the primary contact, so Karen removed my contact information completely, without my knowledge or consent.. This could endanger my cat if one of us needed to be contacted immediately and my GF wasn't available. It should be noted Karen had no problem whatsoever with me interacting with "her staff" when it came time for me to pull out my credit card and pay the $965 bill. The bottom line is Karen is rude, condescending, disrespectful, and unprofessional in her conduct with customers. Withholding treatment for an animal until a customer sits quietly to listen to her disrespectful diatribe, in front of an employee, is untenable. She didn't bother to even determine if the information she was given was accurate. If you don't want your staff to deal with angry customers, Karen, don't let them make promises the business has no intention of keeping. I have never before encountered such a disrespectful and rude staff member at a business, let alone the office manager. I will not return to this business solely because of her behavior towards me.Also, Karen, you pointed out in your rebuttal that I also left a review on Yelp, and "my Yelp name doesn't match my Google name." Well, duh, no, it does not. If you think Google and Yelp are the only places I've left a review of your rude, condescending, disrespectful, and unprofessional conduct, you need to expand your horizons. There are a great many places to leave my review, and I'm availing myself of all of them. You had a chance to apologize and make things right, but you chose to double down.I will also point out I sent Dr. Benesh two emails regarding my problem with Karen. Evidently, they were intercepted, as he stated he never received them.

WE LOVE DR. B! He is so wonderful and kind, especially to the animals. He handles them with care and you can tell he really loves what he does. He’s great at educating you on how to be a better pet parent ? for example, we went in for a routine checkup and he noticed my dog was having trouble using the bathroom. With his advice, we have since treated him and have had no further issues! And we had no idea it was even an issue! Our pets are family and Dr. B treats them as such.He really cares about the pets, staff, and people that come in. Truly amazing.

Chandler Small Animal Clinic was awesome! They got my dog Boomer in quickly. The assistant cut his nails, and the Dr examined him. Sadly, Boomer passed away.
