February 2024 by Alissa ..
I'm confused. Why does it say it's open 24 hours and immediately underneath it says it closes at 10 on weekdays and 5 on weekends. I'm trying to find a gym in casa grande and it's looking bleak I also tried calling (during their supposed open hours) and they didn't answer. Does anyone have answers on what their actual hours are since they don't answer their phone?

Currently if I could give negative I would, the list is increasing with the number of issues. And unfortunately with the only other option is across town and is not a similar center.Men's restrooms are disgusting. Weightlifting room floor has holes and white powder coming out. Equipment very dated, costumer service is also hit or miss.

There aren't many gym options in Casa Grande. It's either PowerHouse or Planet Fitness. I checked out PowerHouse and walked around and it seemed pretty good, very chill - some of the equipment looked older, but as long as you can use it to work out, that's all that should matter, right? But little things started happening as I've gone more and more since my sign up. One of the upright seats (typically used for bicep curls) is missing the cushion on the back of it?... so your back is up against bare metal, which is sort of uncomfortable. Some of the treadmills read "walk only" on them which obviously indicates that they're older or broken and cannot be used for running - some, not all. Some of the pins you insert into the machines to set your weight are missing as well. I've had to pull pins from other machines for the one I'm trying to use at the time. I was avoiding Planet Fitness because I've heard horror stories and.. I still think PowerHouse is probably better than PF. It sucks to have these sort of complaints, because I really enjoy the overall atmosphere of PowerHouse, and genuinely would rather support a local business. I understand that some of these things could be the result of a low budget (gym equipment is STUPIDLY expensive) but when it comes to the limitations of exercising comfortably and with the right equipment, I feel like that should be the number one priority and for some reason it doesn't feel like it is. I'll keep going as long as I can (signed up for a year), but overall sort of disappointed. Before moving cities, I was at LA Fitness and think I was a bit spoiled lol.

Bad A/C, the guy running the front desk is controversial, and not the best gym in Casa Grande. Overall, this gym didn't feel like a good gym. People, please don' t go to this gym

Started out as a great place, but it became way too crowded as other gyms in town shut down and left, that it became annoying to workout there. I started going to a Women's only Facility primarily as I was getting personal training to advance my goals, but kept my membership at PHF so I could go to PHF if I wanted to work out with my husband or brother. However, after poor treatment by the staff upon joining the other Facility, I stopped feeling comfortable going there at all. Literally had my progress demeaned by a staff member who knows nothing about me to even make that kind of statement or assumption. You'd think a gym would be happy someone found a way to get to their fitness goals that works for them, especially if they're still paying their membership fees there, but not this gym. It's them or nothing, weird gym mentality. Anyway, I've now decided to cancel my membership and the process has been a major headache. We were originally told we had to go in person to cancel, so we did. They then said we had to go online to cancel, and so we did only to find THERE IS NO ONLINE CANCELLATION OPTION. So then we called, the first time we were told we couldn't cancel cause we weren't the primary account holders (were the only 2 people on the account), today I was told my contract says we can't cancel, but we can send a 30-day notice to cancel the contract renewal, and continue to pay until the year long contract is up. This place cares more about appearance and money than health and fitness, beware. *edit- when I emailed powerhouse directly requesting a copy of my signed contract stating this BS they were suddenly able to cancel my membership right there at the gym. Wow.

I haven't actually signed up for this gym, but visited inquiring a week long pass while visiting family.I saw some of the biggest guys lifting in this gym, female warriors as well. This place hypes you up and makes you feel powerful. Plenty of mirrors to flex your muscles. Machines and free weights to grow. In Arizona it's blazing hot, but this gym with no windows really keeps it cool even when your just when the forges of your internal flame alight. Visit and work hard for the sickest pump of your life. Also the employee was super helpful, giving me a tour and answering all my questions. Only left off a star because I haven't actually tried it out, next time I will and revise as experience.

Hands down best gym in casa grande for experienced lifters. I think it’s the only one in the area with an actual selection of free weight machines and not just cable machines.

Love this gym. I'm from out of state and the kid up front always works with me on a 10 day pass when I'm in town. I can't Thank him enough for not locking me Into a contract. I highly recommend this gym. It's clean and has a great variety of equipment and free weights!!

I miss the 24/7 days when this gym was open 24 hours and had reasonable pricing... Sad for the community, I'm lucky I have my own gym.

Very petite gym. One machine per person. You can get a full body workout here. just come real early or late. Not prime time hours.

If would be nice if they had Senior workouts again. The online workouts just aren't the same.

No longer a 24 hour gym. Took awhile to be able to cancel membership. They give the forms but don't update you if something is filled out wrong.

This gym is NOT open 24 hours as advertised. When I signed up I was told it was 24 hours except for Friday and Saturday nights due to staffing, which I can definitely work around and understand, but that the key card would let me in any other day after their normal business hours. However I have tried twice on other days and have been told they're closed and don't open again until super late at night. Decent gym but not sure it's worth the price since you're paying for a 24 hour service that isn't provided. Kinda feels like false advertising. Shame they don't have different membership options for those of us that don't want to workout at midnight to save some money since they have limited hours anyways. They also charge an $80 sign up fee and then another $80 annual fee, so just be ready for that.

Great energy and atmosphere as always. Helpful trainers that give you that extra little push to get the most out of every workout. Coming back from an injury is tough but the coaches understand peoples limitations and encourage progress through alternative workouts that make you feel included. Overall this gym meets and exceeds every expectation I had. I highly recommend Powerhouse to anyone looking to put in the work and see results.
