September 2023 by Chelsea F.
I have tried to make a new patient appointment since November 2022. The next available was June 2023... June rolls around, and they cancel. They rescheduled me for September... then cancel and reschedule TWICE. When I just called to reschedule, there is nothing until 2024. This is ridiculous!! They shouldn't be allowed to cancel and just kick us to the next year every. single. time. NAH is awful at customer service, scheduling, compassion & everything in between. Highly recommend going somewhere else. You'll probably never even be able to get an appointment anyways.

while I generally had a positive experience with the staff and doctors, I'm leaving a one star rating because they only have male practitioners for female pelvic exams. I simply cannot wrap my head around why any hospital would even hire a male to look in women's vaginas, but to not even have the option of a female for those who feel uncomfortable with that seems mind-boggling. I don't know one woman who feels comfortable with having a man do her pelvic exam. This feels like an extreme women's health and safety issue, particularly with all the cases of medical sexual abuse, being reported every day. What about our young little girls getting pelvic exams for the first time? Would you want your young daughter to have a man stick his hand inside of her before she's even lost her virginity? What about women who suffered from sexual violence, which is greater than one woman in three? Not only does this hospital need to provide a female doctor for pelvic exams, they clearly need more females on thier board to make decisions that do not make half of the population feel uncomfortable. This seems so very basic to me that my jaw literally dropped when they told me. I please change the situation as quickly as possible.

Maybe the people that run the Camp Verde facility could let the customers know the lab doesn't accept drop off bio samples after 3:30 because they are closed. Interactions with three people to get MY lab sample collection kit, written instructions and not a peep they close in the middle of the afternoon. No signs on any of the doors, nothing. No collection drop off box, nothing. And the receptionists at the counter are about as helpful as thirsty vampires. 25 mile round trip just wasted.

Flat out completely refused service to my niece. We drove to Sedona, no problem. We were in an out within an hour. The receptionist there asked why they didn't see us. I had no answer for her as I was completely flabbergasted as was she.

3rd time visiting immediate care and each time Jason has been the NP on duty. He is so kind and positive. Whether you have to get cut open or stitched up, he always makes the best of the situation and makes you feel comfortable. Please don't ever leave! Although, I don't really want to have to go to immediate care, it's nice to know that there is a knowledgeable professional caring person that will see you. Keep up the great work!

Had to make an appointment 3 months in advance to see Dr Matson as a new patient and the day of my appointment he was sick. I understand that doctors get sick but the care team said I would have to wait 2 more months to see him. 5 months to see a doctor? They checked with him and he was of no help. I declined and decided to keep my primary care doctor in Phoenix. Heard from others that this doctor is often sick and cancels appointments same day and his care team doesn't follow up to reschedule. I'm glad I'm not going there.

We were in there 1 month ago and the doctor was going to refer us to a nutritionist and a speech therapist. I told the doctor that there was a problem getting referrals out of his office. He didn't believe me and here I sit 1 month later still waiting for those referrals to come through.

I was vacationing in Sedona and had to be taken to the ER, they took me back within an hour. The doctor and nurses assessed me right away, controlled my pain, and ordered tests right away. I needed as surgery and the team was called in right away. I stayed in the hospital for four days. My inpatient stay was exceptional! I can't say enough good things about this experience. I was very fortunate to have been in the area, I couldn't have asked or gotten a better outcome. Wonderful patient care by Dr. Faulkner. Cara, Patrick, Chuck, Kevin, Nurse Jill. Nurse Leighanne was exceptional...she had a wonderful bedside manner, you could tell she truly cared...what a wonderful example of what a nurse should be! Thank you all!

I took my newborn there for her first check up and wasn't very thrilled. Had to talk to multiple people to make an appointment, the doctor I dealt with was ok but very basic and short. I never went back. Well today my daughter is very sick and so are we (mom and dad) I called and spoke with a gentleman and gave him our information and what was going on, I was than transferred to someone else who answered the phone and was very rude. Asked me to explain to her again what I had just told the gentleman that I was on the phone with for 10 min prior. After I gave her all the information she told me very rudly that we couldn't be seen for 2 days. Anytime I've tried to get in its never been easy and the people just are plain rude!
