VACATED IN LESS THAN A YEAR DUE TO RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE!RENTER BEWARE THAT RATES INCREASED AFTER EIGHT MONTHS, ALL WHILE THE OFFICE STAFF CAN’T BE BOTHERED TO PERFORM THEIR BASIC JOB DUTIES!In response to the business reply: I didn’t ask for a generalized response. Cathy was returning a call from the day prior, and I was asking her specifically about my unit and my specific bill. Cathy obviously couldn’t be inconvenienced to look at my account she had to access to call me (as my number is different than the number left in the voicemail the day prior) despite me asking questions specifically related to my account, and instead would rather cause confusion and then become very rude when having to explain the confusion she caused. I didn’t directly accuse her of charging for the protection plan, she’s the one that stated it was part of my costs and became very escalated when the conversation required further explanation. No one wants to be treated that way, especially when they’re paying for a service.If Cathy doesn’t want to service the customers, she should seek a job that doesn’t require her to do so.—————We’ve been here just shy of a year and are vacating our unit due to the awful “customer service” provided by Cathy.My husband called yesterday to inquire about our unit. Cathy called me today and when I asked for clarification of our monthly bill, Cathy was quick to advise that our cost included the unit, tax and a protection plan. I advised that I should not have been charged for a protection plan, as I have provided proof of renters insurance for the entire duration of our time. I asked that Cathy address the charges and return my call.Cathy called back a few moments later advising that I haven’t been charged for the protection plan. I request additional clarification as I was just told by this same representative that I was paying for a protection plan, just moments prior.Cathy becomes even more aggressive telling me that she answered me “with what most people pay for” - way to provide top notch customer service, especially when I requested information pertaining to my particular unit. Again, confused by the conversation that Cathy is leading I asked for additional clarification and was met with more hostility.I didn’t choose Sundance Self Storgae to have my belongings secured at a facility where employees are able to just talk nonsense to paying customers and allowed to speak poorly to customers that are asking questions based on the information Cathy provided.

Price for size is great! Only downside is they do not allow access during holidays. This was rather inconvenient when we rented a truck two weekends in a row and had to extend the first one by a day, then go to another storage unit the second after driving 2 hours to get here. I understand closing for the major holidays, but is it really necessary to close for easter 2 weeks in a row?

They would get more stars if it hadn't been for what happened to me and others on Sunday. I drove 90 miles to get there. It's the closest storage that has climate control available for us.We were unable to access our units because the gate was locked for HOLIDAY HOURS! ( found this later as the sun was on the keypad and couldn't read the issue)There was no holiday, I was able to get in because there was a guy that was already in. But then I couldn't access my inside unit and that was when I saw the holiday hours. So I was LOCKED INSIDE because you can't get in or out without your code! There emergency after hours sends you to the police dept! So I called them, they came out about 20 minutes later, they had a contact for after hours BUT NO ONE ANSWERED!! Meanwhile the guy that had come in had gone and we trying to figure out how to get me out. The guy luckily came back and I was able to leave. But there were several other people with the same issue.Monday I get a call apologizing for the incident from Kathy the mgr, explaining they had entered the wrong date for the closure, they are closed all holidays.So why the do they care if we go into in our units on holidays or not? They aren't there on Sundays (or obviously in case of emergencies) so why should holidays make any difference? It was either her or Frank the Dist mgr that said they want people to spend holidays with their families?!?? What?!? They now want to monitor people's family time? The whole incident was ridiculous, and they don't have any good reason for the holiday issue. If you want more access it's a very convoluted process which I am going to try to get authorization for.I have never rented a unit that was closed for Holidays and am checking with another place down the street to see availability because THEY ARE NOT CLOSED ON HOLIDAYS.

This is not our first time using Sundance. The staff is wonderful. They work with us with any interface we have. They are proactive in suggesting the best way use their services. We have multiple storage bays at this point and believe we have the best storage in this area.
