We went with a group of friends and tried a large selection of pies between all of us. The chocolate and Bourbon Pecan pies were group favorites, as well as the strawberry rhubarb and key lime. We also loved the banana loaf and monkey bread. The service was okay, not overly friendly like you would expect from a small place like this. That being said, I'm sure we'll be back in the future. They also had a huge selection of canned and pickled foods of a wide variety that we are very excited to try out. It's definitely worth a stop if you're passing through on your way to or from Flagstaff!

This place is terrible. Terrible service, terrible food, and nonchalant attitudes from the staff regarding it all. Would not recommend unless you are simply stopping to buy a pie and take it home.

This place is a real gem. We came here twice during our weekend trip, once for breakfast and once for dinner. We loved the atmosphere and the little shop full of jams and sauces and kitsch. The staff was down home friendly and took care of our party of 6 without a hitch. The food was delicious, ESPECIALLY the pie (and we tried 6 different pies). We'll be sure to eat here again whenever we're in the area.

Drove 40 minutes to try this "Famous" pie shop. My friend and I each bought a pie to take home; each costing $27.95! (But hey they're suppose to be amazing right?!?!?) What a huge disappointment for both of us. We bought the peach crumble and the cherry crumble. Both pies had 95% crumb topping and 5% fruit and the taste was as dry and underwhelming as it gets. If we lived closer we would have returned them. Do yourself a favor and buy yourself a Marie Callender frozen pie for $10.79 and pop it in the oven yourself; SO much better tasting and so much more fruit! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Just left 12/29/23 1pm stopped by for strawberry rhubarb and apple pies. BOTH pies VERY SOUR. We paid $14 for 2 slices. The fridge that holds the pie is also pretty empty with slim pickings. There was no cherry, hardly any apple, no pecan. There was no price list. No one stocking the fridge. Walked by the "Pie box" they only sell large whole pies for $27. That is very pricey. Jars of pickled eggs $12+ Jars of jams $10+ Nothing stood out. Very disappointed in the pie. Probably won't be back or recommend to people. Tik tok mislead us for sure lol.

Terrible service. Patrons lined up at door while employees visiting and tables needed cleaned. Had to ask for menu after sitting there 10 minutes. Never checked on after receiving our food, no drink refills, dessert (pie that was ordered with the meal oder) was never delivered to table. Fries were overcooked and hard. Waited and waited for dessert. "Believe" tattooed lady, who appeared to be supervising never stopped talking and helping the lone waitress. Bus boy looked lonely and lost, and didn't know how to make the line of customers feel comfortable when waiting for so long. Felt bad for him. Cook kept yelling at waitress that her food was up. She is was trying to find her ticket book. "Believe" continued to visit and not help in any way. Just drive on by and forget the restaurant. If you really want to try a piece of their pie, go next door to The Pie Box for pie, then head on down the road for a fast food burger! Guarantee you the food and service will be quicker and better!

It's not a bad place to eat by any means. The food and deserts are just kinda bland. Nothing we have had , food or desserts has been very exiting flavor wise. Some may like it , others may ....

Junk stores and more. Food okay, huge portions and Expensive!! Pie was nothing like mama used to bake!! Pretty much a tourist trap!! In addition, you can purchase a DELICIOUS apple pie at Costco for $12.00, a Delicious pumpkin pie for $6.00. This place is making a killing on so so quality!!!

Rock Springs Cafe is known for their pies but not anymore. Horrible taste and of course increased prices. Crust isn't edible.

On our way to the Grand Canyon we passed a sign about pies but it was way too early. Thankfully as we left to head back the Pie Box was open! Everyone is so friendly and one lovely lady with just a little bit of snark (my favorite mixture). We headed inside and grabbed a full banana cream pie and a slice of lemon meringue with a pie slicer. The price isn't cheap but the pies look wonderful! The building is spacious and even though there were quite a few people in there we didn't feel crowded. A little bummed that you can't buy blackberry by the slice but I'm not taking a star away for that!

Friendly staff was a very nice touch to our pie hunt! We purchased 5 slices looking for our craving to be put to rest. The Keylime one was missing that classic tartness you would expect from traditional Keylime pie but it was very creamy. Lemon meringue was so yummy but my favorite was the banana cream. It had a great crust to filling ratio.

For decades I've heard about Rock Springs Cafe and especially their pies. We finally got to go. I was disappointed in the food. Our beef brisket was tough, baked potatoes uncooked. I purchased several pies to serve for our family gathering. The pecan and cherry pies were okay, I'm not impressed by the crusts. The cream pies were terrible. The crusts were soggy and quite literally mushy. The lemon filling rubbery and meringue disintegrating. My husband suggested I throw it in the trash. I was excited to see rhubarb pie, but was concerned that it was a crumb upper, not pie crust. The crumbs are thick and tasteless. I scraped the topping off and ate the filling only.

Great pies - Always! They took an order for Thanksgiving less than a week ahead of time, while another pie shop (in Phoenix) was 'booked' on that score three days earlier.

Service was incredibly slow and was basically ignored at the bar. Staff was non-existent. Food was fine for what it was. Would not recommend going here. Unfortunate.

We love this place, and come on the way to the Black Canyon Trail. The service is great and the vibe is about 12 different things at once: taffy/fudge shop, diner, truck stop, pie bakery, pub, gift shop, pop up Christmas store. I could go on. The salads are creative and fun and the burgers, brisket and everything else just plain yum. Come on over.
