I'm so upset and so disappointed in this location. I came in yesterday for a new frame of glasses... I have insurance so with insurance and everything the total I had to pay out of pocket was $130ish. (keep in mind the lady helpings badge said manager) she didn't help me with picking my glasses or the best option and guiding me like they usually do, it's kind of helpful when they help w process of elimination, lol but whatever she didn't. So anyways, she takes my card runs it and my bank notifies me as they usually do when a transaction is ran, that they charged me almost $480! So I tell the lady fast "you charged me $470ish not $130... she tries to cancel the transaction and has a lot of issues doing so, she calls different people over the phone, her coworkers etc and nothing, not ONCE did she apologize for the whole inconvenience of her f*** up... after an hour she says "okay here's the receipt we got it situated you'll get back the difference of $3 hundred something (since it charged the originally price it should've) so I'm like okay when, she's like maybe a few hours, tonight, maybe tomorrow, and I was just like okay... it's so upsetting that she didn't feel bad, not once an apology for her error and the inconvenience that until right now I still don't have the funds in my account. Let's just say I really needed those funds or relied on them to pay a bill or something, thankfully that was my savings account card but imagine what an inconvenience it really could've been if I was in a situation, despite that overall it is an inconvenience that she charged me for that amount and I'm still waiting for the funds and got no apology. Horrible customer service with the lady specifically, manager actually, I wish I would've got her name, but it was an older looking lady, with glasses, teased hair. I'm just super upset over this. Please take your business elsewhere...

Been with Visionworks for years. Went to this location for an appointment. Although my online appointment booked for an old location. Rescheduled with ease for a future date. Went to the front to inquire about purchasing a pair of polarized sunglasses. The elderly lady was extremely combative and aggressive. (I walked out into the main area while she was finishing being rude towards different patients) I spoke with her and asked a question about getting polarized sunglasses for my husband. Without asking questions or inquiring further she proceeded to tell me I’m committing insurance fraud. As far as I’m aware, I can buy any sunglass and have a prescription put in them. I’ve purchased sunglasses for years and have had a prescription placed in them and kept the lenses. Especially for the sunglasses that have expired prescription, this is extremely helpful. Her demeanor was inappropriate for an office setting and she lacked communication/customer service skills. Perhaps it was a bad day for her. Canceling my rescheduled appointment and switching to a diff company altogether. No, thank you.

Been a few months and I still don't even have my TRIAL pair of contacts. When I asked if I could just order my dailys instead and they said no, because they have to approve my trials. Definitely getting my prescription transferred to somewhere else. Oh and they charged me for the exam when my insurance was supposed to cover it.

BUYER BEWARE!!!Please be cautious when dealing with Visionworks as they might charge you more than what your insurance covers. I recently went to an appointment with great eye insurance coverage, but Visionworks was unable to explain why I was paying them between $50-$70 extra. I have been wearing glasses since 2nd grade and contacts since 7th grade, so I understand the process of insurance.My insurance benefits states that I have a $0 copay and a $150 allowance for my contact lens exams and contacts. I thought I was covered for my exam and a portion of my contacts, which is amazing. However, Visionworks insisted that the doctor charges between $50-$70 depending on the exam I have with him. I questioned them why I was paying extra for my eye exam when my copay was $0, but nobody could answer my question. They just kept saying that those were my benefits. I felt like I was being scammed and taken advantage of, so I walked out.Later, I found out that with VSP Vision Care Insurance, retail chains like Visionworks do not cover contact lens exams and you are forced to pay up to $70 more than you would if you went to a private optometrist. I am glad I walked out of Visionworks, and the customer service there is not so great. No one could explain why I was paying extra, they just kept saying its my benefits. No its not!! That's a COMPLETE LIE! Shame on you guys!So please be aware if you have VSP insurance and go to Visionworks, they will charge you extra because they are a retail chain and the insurance doesn't cover their exams. So your force to pay more our of pocket. Times are hard already and it just seems like the company is taking advantage of people. All I know is I won't ever waste my time and money there.

From the moment I walked into the office, Sue acknowledged my presence even though she was assisting another customer on the telephone. When it was my turn, Sue provided me with excellent service. What's interesting is that my family has been going to the Avondale location for over a year now and Sue has always been pleasant even if someone else assisted me she always helped out. There was a time when the computer was doing wonky stuff and it took the other rep some time to try and make it work to no avail so Sue came over and tested the issue. I would want someone like Sue on my team. I hope she enjoys her days off. Thank you, Ms Sue?

Everyone was very friendly. The whole process was quick and effective. I picked out my glasses after my eye exam and the employee was very helpful as well.

The attention and customer service was great starting with the receptionists who checked me in for my eye exam, Dr. Betts made sure I was comfortable with my new prescription, and Ms. Joy was absolutely amazing helping me select my glasses. I was in and out in less than an hour.

Although the day of exam everyone was nice it has been Almost 7 weeks and I still do NOT have my glasses when I call the number I am rerouted or it says I have called after hours when the website shows open hours. The email and website STILL says pending. I will Never go back or refer anyone here.

Horrible service! I've been to another location before but my experience was much smoother. This location is absolutely awful. I made my appointment may 31st everything went smooth. I took both eye exams for lenses and contacts. I was not given a date but I was given a time frame.. I was told in a couple of weeks I would receive the trial.. come three weeks later I still have no call, text, email. I had to call in. Just to be told I needed to wait until June 27th. I waited until june 27th and I still had no update from Visionworks. I had to call and call and call again! Finally I got a hold of them but was told my contacts didn't arrive on the 27th they are actually being pushed back couple of more weeks. At this point I was very upset and told them I need these contacts I don't have lenses because I'm waiting for the contacts to buy the lenses bc of a promotional offer they have. Finally I agreed to meet to a contact try on meeting even though they were not my contacts they were close to the ones I had sent over.. the day of the meeting I went in late because I had gotten pulled over which I understand was not their fault but the dr was not personable at all, instead she made it seem like I was the inconvenience when really, I'm the one that's been waiting on these dang contacts for what's about to be TWO months! I told them to cancel everything and I would be taking my business elsewhere. I've just about had it with the unprofessional matter my business has been dealt with.

The staff was awesome. Friendly and knowledgeable. They have a good variety of glasses and sunglasses for all ages and styles. Great deals like BOGO half off .... I was able to get an eye exam scheduled easy online. Purchased my glasses and set up payment plan that best fits my budget. Thank you staff!
