Great customer service and super happy with the clean car we rented

I'd give them. ZERO stars if I could! I made my reservation 3 months ago for a 1 day rental. The manager Oscar called me the day of the rental saying they won't have my car and I need to call around to find one. Seriously you have 3 months notice and you didn't know even the day before you wouldn't have one in stock? I get it some need their rental longer but this is just poor planning! It's not MY job to fix your mistake!!! Also I rented it through Costco which they told me it's up to Budget to find the customer another rental even if it means going to another company. This is per their rules between Costco and the rental companies. You lost a long time customer (yes check my Fastbreak record) and I'll NEVER rent though them again! Luckily Enterprise had a car available and Costco is covering the difference in price.

If I could provide negative stars, I would! Beware, just as with other surrounding car rental companies (Enterprise). I called the phone number (623) 925-9793 that I pulled up from their Google Map location in Avondale. I spoke to a "Tom" and made a car rental reservation and he even took my payment over the phone, and I completed the check in. BEFORE I paid him, I asked if indeed they had a vehicle available today, he assured me there was! Upon arriving at the Avondale location at the time of my pick up time, Oscar, the Independent Operator tells me that he doesn't have any vehicles. I told him that I was assured he had one and of course all he did was apologize and says that the calls go to their call center. He then gives me their direct call center's phone number, but I decide to call the one I made the reservation with and funny, he answers! WTH! He honestly had the same accent that "TOM" did whom I had made the reservation with. At this point, I'm beyond frustrated. Be careful and CALL the actual locations, even if the website or call center allows you to make a reservation and PAY for it! Not only will you end up wasting your time and gas, but you will need to wait 3-10 business days for a refund!

I needed to rent a car for an 8 hour drive. My boyfriend warned me about some companies reporting their cars as stolen when they were rented. Luckily this was not my experience. There was one person staffing the place and it was typically busy with a few customers. I needed an economical car. The only one available had just rolled into the lot. If time were on my side, I would have shopped around or asked for the car to be cleaned, but it wasn't. Despite the fact that it had stains on all the seats and a cigarette hole in the back seat, it still did it's job. It was easy to exchange it for the 12' truck when I got to my destination but that place only had one employee as well. When I returned home again with the 12' truck, they could not provide me a receipt. They also emailed me the wrong receipt. They did try... but I've never seen it so disorganized before. They are still using the same outdated equipment, which used to be so modern once...

Budget/Avis has horrible customer service in general, but this branch didn’t help the situation at all. After being told that he couldn’t help me I asked who I could elevate the issue to and he told me to call customer service. The only problem with that is that customer service told me to go into an office earlier that day because they couldn’t help me. What a $h!t show. Avoid Budget/Avis at all costs.

Got a car in Tucson which was not what we had reserved that had extremely worn tires and had a blowout, location in Phoenix made it right with the model we needed.

If I were able to rate a 0 stars I would. The customer service was horrible and their management. I reserved a 26 ft truck 3 weeks in advance. Luckily I showed up to pay the truck the day before picking up. The reception lady said they don’t have the truck, and they don’t know when they would have one! We are moving out of state, and have a deadline to move!!! It would of been horrible to show up at our reservation spot at the time assigned and they don’t have the truck anywhere!
