I was going to refrain from writing this review, even after the multiple requests for a 5 star review from city Toyota when they knew I didn’t get 5 star service. It wasn’t the truck being delivered with out promised parts that pushed me over the edge, or the constant terrible communication, or the clear fact that all the finance side cared about was pushing another deal through to hit the end up of month numbers. But after a week of owning this truck (I had it delivered, and when delivering you waive any test drives so I didn’t inspect to closely shouldn’t be a big deal on a brand new truck) I took it to get a PPF wrapped put on and they informed me this truck has hail damage. They pointed it out and it’s hard to unsee. Now it’s October and there definitely hasn’t been a hailstorm since this truck was delivered. I’ve made multiple attempts to talk to city Toyota about this issue but no one has returned my calls.
I did get a slight deal on this truck, but it didn’t come as expected even though there was clear communication regarding said issues. They claim to be a family owned, honest respectable car dealership but the service I recieved for the most part resembles that of a shady used car dealer.
Go with them if they’re going to give you a really good deal, if not use someone else.
I’ve refrained from using names in this review as amongst all the people I dealt with one did do her absolute best given the information she was given, although the information she was given from her co workers often was wrong it was clear it was not her fault.

I recently had a great experience purchasing a new Rav4 Hybrid from Toyota City.
Kathy Gibson was my sales rep and she was the best - clear and quick communication, quickly understood my needs and found a vehicle that was a perfect fit at a great price.
Huss Thawer handled the financing and was similarly great to work with. He presented options respectfully without the hard sell of extras that had sent me walking from a previous dealer. He got everything done in record time and got me on the road in my new vehicle.
10/10 experience, I'd highly recommend this team. Well worth my drive from the city.

Never again!!
We went to this dealer in June to check out their Highlander and talked to one of the sales rep to discuss the type of vehicle we were looking to get. We informed Shaina right away that we are planning to move to the States for job opportunity and we will be staying there for a while.We asked her if there will be an issue in bringing the vehicle there. She told us that there will be no problem in bringing the vehicle there. We traded our job and was given a quote of how much our payment would be and even asked her if she could talk and confirm with someone that we won't have any problem in bringing the vehicle with us. The next day, we came back to discuss the contract. We talked to different peron named Scott and we then again told him pur main concern. Told him that we want a bigger vehicle where we can load our stuff and we want to confirm that we wont have any problem in bringing and using the vehicle in the states. He said "No" and assured us that we can use it there and even can take advantage of using our extended warranty in the States. But now we found out that is NOT TRUE! Tried calling Scott and left him a voicemail to discuss this but HE NEVER RETURN MY CALL! Talked to a different person and was infomered that we are not allowed to bring the vehicle in the States and had to PAY OFF THE FULL AMOUNT!!! Who could afford to Pay a $70k vehicle upfront??? And there is no help from them to fix this problem. If only they have told us that we cannot bring the behicle, we should have not purchased the vehicle and traded our old one! I would rate thia dealer ZERO if I could!!

Scheduled an inspection for my vehicle for the purposes of evaluating cost vs keep. Informed service centre of this fact and they highlighted all pertinent information to help me make a decision when I returned to pickup the vehicle. In no way were they pushy to fix the vehicle, nor were they eager to try and sell me a new vehicle. I really enjoyed the matter-of-fact delivery of the information given to me and appreciated being treated with respect. Highly recommend this dealership to any and all looking for vehicles or needing service done.

Toyota City went above and beyond to give us the best experience, saving a bundle and met our budget exactly where we wanted. It was my first visit to their sales floor - being new from BC, I wasn't sure what to expect. They welcomed me like an old friend, and treated me honestly and truthfully. Anyone in the area looking for a Toyota? Come here first - it is worth the travel!
A shout out to Kathy Gibson, she knew the answers to all our questions and way out of her way to make us comfortable. No pressure, no panic - no problems!
The whole team was awesome, Toyota Canada should take note - my experience in BC Toyota dealerships was good, but this was great. Well worth the visit!

New 2024 Toyota Tacoma truck purchase. We looked in Edmonton and Toyota City Wetaskiwin manager gave us the fairest trade in for our car. They had all fees in final price quoted. They were very transparent and didn’t add extra costs on the final price we agreed on. Kathy Gibson was our sales representative, she is knowledgeable, personable, very easy to discuss trade in for purchase of our new truck. She didn’t do any pressure sales tactics when we came into see the truck. She worked around her busy schedule to let us test the truck. The whole team made everything work even when we had communication issues with our bank. They kept us informed every day when we asked for updates. Great location to get the vehicle you want. Great job Toyato City Wetaskiwin.

Couple months ago, I Was the last oil change in the day booked in advance, was the only time I could really get the change done between jobs with my work schedule. The guy at the service desk was upset that I was there I guess because he couldn’t go home early, argued with me about doing the oil change and filter even though it’s part of the new vehicle purchase service agreement. That’s a private talk with your boss chief not an argument with the customer.
He finished in record time, I barely even got to the subway.. should have been my tip off.
The notes he gave were extremely sloppy. Full of grammar mistakes barely even legible and It wasn’t clear if he even changed the filter. I discovered all my tires were missing the air nozzle caps, discovered a new small chip in my rear fender paint, and in addition I’ve recently discovered the oil cap that screws into the engine assembly, where you unscrew to put fresh oil in, that cap is missing. Been driving around without
That on lucky I still got oil in the engine.
I do not believe these to be simple accidents but the actions of a petty malicious individual.
If you care about your truck, don’t go here.

It was my first time buying a car and it can be overwhelming, but she made me feel comfortable by walking me through all the details that I have to do. Recently we were quoted a price of $74 for a part, it was more than we had researched but wanted to shop and support local. When the part came in we were charged $99. When we questioned the parts person, we were told this is the price. Thank you for not checking into it further!
When we had come in to order the part, we had inquired about another service and the person at the parts counter said they had no idea and were going to just let us leave without at least trying to assist. Thankfully, there was another employee there working and pointed us in the direction of the finance manager.
Speaking with the finance manager was a bust though. We were told we'd hear back from him that day with details from our inquiry after looking us in the eye and shaking our hands. We were quickly forgotten.
We will make the 2+ hour trip into Calgary going forward, we recommend everyone to do the same. At least they want your business and their prices are fair.

Kathy and everybody at Toyota City was amazing. We needed a particular vehicle and had a certain budget in mind and put us in pre owned vehicle that's absolutely amazing and at a respectable price. The entire organization at Toyota City made us feel right at home. Thank you for going beyond what was asked to make sure we got what we wanted. Thank you
