I brought my truck in to have looked at as it was having starting issues off and on. They quoted me the cost to replace the starter before even looking at it, and off to work I went. Little while later I got a call from them saying that they think it might be the cables leading to the starter which were very corroded. Great I said, so you probably don't even need to replace the starter then. Too late they said, they already put the new one in. Now, if they thought the issue was just the cable (as it was very corroded), and they would know this BEFORE removing the starter as you need to disconnect the wires before hand, why would you replace the starter? Just replace the cable, try it, and go from there. But no. J&E changed the starter, charging me $300+, on top of that, the $40+ for the cable that was the mostly likely cause, and refused to put my old starter back on, or give it back (which they are supposed to do). I will never use them for service again.

J&E Motors went above and beyond. They got my car in fast and made sure to only fix what was needed. They also shopped around for parts to get me the best deal on the parts.

We got an oil change with a mechanical inspection and it only cost $92. They do great work at a great price and are very honest, friendly and efficient.

J & E is very good. They do a thorogh check up on your vehicle every time you go in for an oil change. We have never experienced a time when they try to convince you of doing a service or repair to the vehicle that wasn't absolutly necessary. Steve is very knowledgable and can almost pinpoint your trouble with just listening to the engine. His technicians are well educated and seem to know what to look for. They are quite prompt on getting your vehicle back to you when they say they will. Only once have I had to wait longer than needed due to their supplier sending the wrong part. We have dealt with J & E since they opened in 1987 and we find that they are the best service in all of Wetaskiwin. I definately would reccomend them to anyone wanting to know.
