It was good I loved the trains and it’s so relaxing with trains, cars and the view. It’s one of my favourite places.
Rooms: It’s a relaxing place in the room there’s trains and cars if you’re fascinated trains, I would recommend that place.

When we first checked in we looked at the beds and we had to ask them to change the blanket due to blood they didn't change the sheets so we had to get them back in to re do them they said that they only change blanket every 3 night even if someone stayed in the room but sheets are changed constantly you walk into the office and the smell was awful. I do not recommend staying here the train also comes thru manly at night so can be load especially cause the crossing is a block down.
Nearby activities: There's a beach 15 km away I belive there was a park just down the block along the lake a huge dock for fishing and watching big boat doc with race boats sail boats you can rent some near by there's an ice cream parole and live bait for fishing and anything else you need to fish
Walkability: It mostly even you can get to Food places the lake beach playground and fishing dock easily you do have to cross the train tracks but overall the walking is not a problem
Food and drinks: They offer breakfast but preference to cook the walffes because people put fo much batter in it

Loved our stay here. You can hear the water and the gulls. Very welcoming and friendly service, a nice area for continental breakfast and board games for our kids to play with. Comfortable double beds, a short walk to the water and park. Wanted to stay a second night because the vibe was so relaxing. The bbq was a perk, cooked up some steaks for dinner.
Also a deep tub was a pregnant belly perk!!

Walkability: I like that everything is within walking distance from this hotel, we were able to walk to the beach, grocery store, convenience and restaurants.

Booked through Expedia May 24 thinking we would need two rooms. Turns out, plans changed and 2 min later we tried to cancel. The app sent us in circles - so we reached out to the hotel.
BJ/VJ told me that there was nothing he could do. We would need to call Expedia. Unfortunately - we could not get a hold of anyone to try and resolve the issue.
Long story short - BJ/VJ and I have spoken a few times on the phone and boy oh boy, where do I start?
"It's not us, it's Expedia giving you the run around. If you were here and you needed to cancel in front of me, I would do it." Well guess what!? Expedia says they will refund me if the hotel sends me an email authorizing a refund.
"Oh, no I won't do that, but you can have a free night." No - I just need you to authorize a refund. "No, I can't do that. I don't have that authority." But when I ask to speak to someone or get their number to call... "no. I'm not giving you that". No explanation, no attempt to put me in touch with someone who will simply write me an email saying "he didn't stay here, he didn't no show, he tried to call and cancel within 2 min... refund him". Just "no. I don't have to explain".
Hilarious.
I even took DOWN my initial review because we were making some headway and he had me convinced that Expedia was the bug in the machine. No - the hotel just wants to keep their $$ for a room that wasn't occupied, and the staff decline to even contact their management when a problem arises. So now I am on a never-ending quest to find out who owns/operates the business so I can lodge a complaint. Wish me luck!
Stay here is you want to lose money and get no help what so ever.
Cheers

Free continental breakfast but won't give nation's members breakfast because they reserve didn't pay extra for a free breakfast.

The place is disgusting. There was a crack pipe in my boys rooms, there was dirty nasty clothes in my room that had drugs on them. They don’t know how to clean the rooms after they have been lived in. Absolutely disgusting.

Was the WORST EXPERIENCE at a hotel i have ever had in my life! The room was filthy, the furniture and fixtures were either poorly “fixed”, or ignored. The plates had old crusty food from previous guests, the butter knife had clearly been used for illicit purposes, the fitted sheet was inside out.I had lived in wabamun years prior so I was already prepared that it would be somewhat as I had imagined and was just not going to make a fuss. But when I accidentally spilled a beverage on the bedding I had went to the lobby to request a new one. The clerk was the rudest man! His first response was asking what was spilled and then complained that it was 11 pm and that he wasn’t going to provide a new blanket. He then got aggressive and told me that he didn’t want to talk to me that he wanted to speak to the person I was with (assuming because he was a man).So I promptly went back to the room to start taking pictures of everything mentioned above. But before I could he and another clerk entered our room without knocking or asking and took a picture if my license plate and told us they were going ti call the police and told us to get out.BEWARE!
