Pretty rundown place, cutting instruction where not followed , meat mislabelled and about a third of the meat was missing. And they thought its the funniest ever …picture supposed to be a 963 lbs per side animal hanging weight 3 of the boxes where bone.

Totally recommend this business! I’ve been buying from Kastelen’s Meats for over 30 years. Kastelen sausage, pepperoni and jerky are in a league of excellence all their own. Quality you notice immediately. The people and service are also as excellent as their products! Highly recommend them!

We have been using Kastelen Sausage for 30 plus years. The sausage is as labeled, “award winning”. The taste is excellent. Both ham or Ukrainian sausage are our families favourite but the all beef, buffalo and honey maple are great too. There’s excellent bacon that tastes like gramma used to serve. The beef jerky is delicious and kubi burgers so very convenient for summer bbq’s. The butchered meat is double wrapped and butchering excellent. We have had wild meat done also and was well worth the wait as the butcher kindly does the wild meat when time allows. We call him the Sausage King. Thank you Kastelen’s for on-going great service, honesty and integrity.

I have gone here yearly for over 5 years.I will be seeking a new butcher. Would not recommend to anyone.The two stars are simply because the actual cuts are not bad, negative comments are below:Note, this has been consistent every year.- refusal to follow cut sheets- shorted meat every year, had to argue with staff. We are an hour away. This year was 3 round trips, still do not have complete order.- disorganized.- understaffed- take it or leave it attitude by owners and staff.- meat this year was received piled and frozen together, blood soaked through packaging.See pictures.We bring in numerous beef yearly.All of my customers experienced the same.

Horrible service and terrible attitude when questioned the delay in processing the meat. Also it is hard for them to follow the cutting instructions. Never going back there again.
