“Nice location! I dropped off some boxes I’ve had in my trunk for a while now. Plenty of parking, in front of the entrance too. Before we even got to the door, they had it opened and a bin ready to accept the donation. They were very friendly, and informed. You can also donate after hours, they have an enclosed weatherproof donation bin outside of the entrance. My only complaint is that this location doesn’t include shopping, just donations. Will return soon!”
“Me and my family member were there today
My lil great nephew lost his lil pumpkin toque
Not sure where pretty sure it was somewhere in or around the Leigion front doors to the parking lot about 5-7 rows back on the left side close to cement benches
Is there a lost and found somewhere there’s this was our 1st. Time at this new location
Orange with a green leaf stem on top
Please message if it was found will pick it up tomorrow”
“Having recently moved, I did a massive purge on clothing. I am also a massive fan of thrift shopping so it's nice to give back too. This place is located behind Capilano Mall in an industrial estate. This is not a thrift store, it's just the drop off centre, the door at the front is where they sort the donations. If bringing items that you need any assistance moving, you can drive around the back to the loading area. The guys are helpful and super friendly. They have a voucher for a discount next time I purchase at a Salvation Army Thrift Store. They even gave me the address of the nearest location, which is in Sherwood Park. I still wish there was even a mini thrift store on site though!”
“I honestly don’t get the complaints about this place. The deals here are insane. They always have daily sales too and it’s usually 50% to 75% off a bunch of stuff. Things are way cheaper than anywhere else like a couple dollars for items that would cost way more new. I’ve walked out with bags of clothes for less than lunch costs.
The book prices are wild too. 50 cents each or four for a dollar and kids books for 10 cents?? You literally can’t beat that. I always end up grabbing more than I planned because why not at those prices.
It’s also super local and a non profit so the money actually goes back into helping people in the community. You can see it. The staff are friendly every time I go in and it just feels like a place that actually cares.
Honestly I can’t believe how many people leave bad reviews about this place. Feels more like greedy people expecting everything for free. For what you get and what it supports this store is amazing.”
