Found this place on airbnb, looking for a short weekend getaway near the mountains and Mike's Places popped up. I loved that he had different options and with being pet friendly the country cottage was perfect! Mike was generous to add in a bag of firewood which we definitely used to roast some marshmallows. The place was quiet other than the odd vehicle and the train, which I don't mind that at all! The place had everything we needed to make a couple meals which was even better. The beds were incredibly comfy, both my mom and I were very pleased about this! The floor was a bit cold but again, slippers were provided which made all the difference and the place heated up real nice. Even with being behind the gas station looking out the windows you'd never guess, the views from the yard were beautiful. Overall, 5/5 highly recommend if you're looking for somewhere quiet, would like close and easy access to the mountains, or just a cozy getaway. I know my mom and I look forward to planning another stay in the future! Thanks for everything, Mike!

We ended up staying at the airbnb behind this gas station and it was a great spot, the actual store had a bunch of the basics and a few things you might be surprised by, very nice employees.

I went to get a camp ground here today after calling the day before informing me they had availability and since I haven’t been able toSecure a pet friendly place in cochrane since my lease ended. I was excited. I discovered they won’t allow any vehicles over 10 years old. I’ve put work into my rv and renovated it and it’s old, but it’s fun and creative. Cochrane is impossible to find a place as it is and I have the money and full insurance and their only reasoning was “it makes the camp ground look bad”. What happened to having fun camping. I have camped there before previous years and this new rule makes no sense. I understand that older vehicles pose some safety issues, but I wouldn’t put myself in a vehicle (home on wheels) I didn’t feel safe in. I’m sure they have no problem storing my rv for tip top dollar in the yard, but when me and my dog just want a safe place to go no go. Last I checked the campers are not all under 10 years old.Camping isn’t what it useTo be. How can people afford to buy a new rv every 10 years anyway … I feel like total discrimination. My 1980 is still on the road I think that says something. I’ve enjoyed camping here in the past and I don’t recommend anyone goes back. Anyone who embraces the enjoyment and adventure of the outdoors and doesn’t discriminate I recommend boycotting this place.

Don't waste your time going out there if your Rv is 10 years old or older. my daughter and I got turned away because of this. You're a little campground on the side of a loud ass highway and nothing for kids to do. You're trying to bring in these house on wheel's but I guess you haven't figured it out they all go stay in town at rivers edge, which had zero problems taking my money. Thanks anyways.
