Check your receipts!This drink was priced at $4.20+GST on the shelf. So it should have totalled $4.51... We all know that a $0.10 deposit goes on top of that so a drink advertised at $4.20 should be $4.51 total but they have a pricing scam that ends up costing $4.80 as shown in this picture of the receipt. And what is the $0.05 environmental fee? That's not a thing.After looking through whatever old receipts I had from this store I found that they've been running this scam for a long time. I asked the clerk and he couldn't explain why the pricing was incorrect or what this environmental fee was. I guess I was just tapping my card like a dummy and trusting them when I shouldn't have.So I've decided to boycott this store since the next closest liquor store, Co-op, has lower prices in general, better selection and better deals. This store never has a sale, co-op often does. This store doesn't have a day every month where you get 10% off, co-op does. This store doesn't give you a 10% discount when you buy 6 items, co-op does. This store doesn't have random days where you can draw up to a 25% discount, co-op does. You don't get a number and a cheque in the mail every year for 10% of the purchase price at this store... But you do at co-op.You can achieve a 10% discount at this store if you bring a food bank donation which can consist of as little as a sandwich bag of macaroni. You can also achieve a 10% discount if you are a front line worker and show ID... We all like our nurses and firefighters nice and drunk. The other way to achieve a discount is their loyalty card, 8% up to $150 except when you fill out the stamps on the loyalty card you end up getting only 8% on the cheapest item so it's a scam too.Besides that, I've never seen anyone working here who is white. This place might be racist.Anyways I wouldn't recommend this store, as shown in this receipt they are scamming along with lower selection and higher prices and much, much less deals for their customers than the competition. The only reason besides money laundering I can think of that their prices are so high, since they own another liquor store and a Petro Canada, is to make up for theft. When I was shopping here you could go in, have the full run of the store and the employee smoking outside doesn't even know you've been looking for them to pay. It's a shoplifters paradise.It's just a giant store with a few shelves scattered around and they never hire white people, might be a front for something else due to the high prices and sketchy behavior.
