moved to RedDeer some 20yrs ago and resided very near this Esso long before it was added to the 711 program. Original mgr was a great hands on mentor, trainer and front-line employee. His staff were hsrd workers, could handle the volume and kept the place clean. This was a busy busy spot for decades. I fuelled up here regularly , collected 10 of thousands or Aeroplan miles and used the carwash a couple times a week. The place developed a following and it wasnt uncommon to see a half dozen seperate induduals again every time I'd stop in. REGULARS.MGRs and staff changed, the store stayed busy and clean. Sadly, over two decades and countless dollars of loyalty ended this evening. It's-1c at 9pm on a QUIET Tuesday night, I entered the vacant carwash and was tidying up and re organizing the cab of my truck after an extended road trip. Blankets etc folded, boxes repacked set on the ground..10 minutes in, an attendant enters the carwash and tells me they are closing the carwash because of the weather...Odd but whatever its their business. I tell him ok, I won't use the wash but would finish with the inside of the cab.He was having no part of that . I asked him to give me a few minutes to finish up and put back my stuff say 5 minutes...Nope. and then sez "not even 3 minutes".I get it. Not going to argue.. Ill pack it up. Before i can even place the first box onto the seat,he cuts power and.kills the lights It is absolutely pitch black. Fumble and stumble in the dark but get it packed up.Might not have been bothered by the early close but two things I was bothered by were1) The lie..- closed due to weather2) The 3 minute no notice black-out..not a light flick. A blackout.I have determined that the lack of respect displayed was intentional and purposeful and as a result unforgivable. It is my intention to never spend another cent here..

Really did not enjoy my car wash experience. It was hard to understand, no soap or dryer, instructions not displayed clearly. And I got a flat tire.

When I try to report an issue with the fuel pump, I don't need flak from the old dude behind the counter. I've been using these pumps for a number of decades. I think I can tell when they don't operate properly. Like when it doesn't give fuel, that's a pretty good indicator. It's funny how ignorant some people are.

This location has old pumps not yet converted. Pay instore. Spent $98 and couldn't get my Optium Points even by calling Optium. Changelocation to 67th St.

Station was clean, pumps looked good. Friendly and knowledgeable lady on the till. Directed to Esso: I have ran into this issue at more than one location; why do employees not know about the speed pass app and the promotions they could benefit from.

Items are great varieties of just about any gas bar stop. Junk foods pop and among other road trip fav. Service is great friendly and fast.
