Everyone should know this. Oyen Towing from Oyen AB is taking advantage of people. My wife was trailering a horse, when a tire on the trailer blew out. She was calling a tow truck on the phone, but in the mean time Oyen Towing drove by, stopped and turned around, came back and offered to help her change the tire. He told her it would be $300 plus tax. Yes, $300 plus tax to change a tire, without the tow driver being called or dispatched from the dispatcher, he was literally driving by and saw her on the side of the road. He told her that its was $85 to change the tire, and the rest was a mileage fee. Now here my wife is stuck on the side of the hwy, 12 km's west of the nearest town, with a horse in the trailer. She did not feel safe to argue or stand up for herself at that time. So she agreed to have him do the work. When we came back to write up the bill, he gave her a "deal" of $200 + 7% fuel surcharge + GST so $224. On the invoice it was listed as "Flat Rate Service $200" and mileage was not itemized on the invoice. To repeat, this was Oyen Towing, based out of Oyen AB, which is owned by Double L Towing out of Edmonton AB. Allen F driver number 182 you are a despicable human for taking advantage of my wife. Overall i couldn't ask for a better experience. The truck Driver was nice and prices weren't that high. I had to get towed from Cereal to Kindersley when my alternator failed. They came as quickly as they could at 3am to help me. And drove me to Kindersley and to a hotel. Price ended up at around 600 dollars which is fair due to the over 1 hour drive to kindersley. If you need a Tow and in a bind i couldn't recommend this company any more than i already have. Thank you guys alot!

My car's engine died when I crossed the Albertan border to Saskatchewan at 11:00PM when I called AMA to get me a tow truck to pick me up they informed me the only tow truck available was Allen Franson who worked for Oyen Towing. When he picked my cousin and me up he was polite and professional. In order to not in convenience him I suggested to be taken to Drumheller (I am from Calgary), but Allen suggested that he could take us to Calgary (a four hour drive!). His willingness and imitative to best met our needs was great. Very good customer service. I was very impressed he was willing to drive pretty much all night to drop us off at Calgary. The price was very reasonable too! I highly recommend Oyen Towing if you can. Allen Franson is a real go-getter

Oyen Towing came to help us at 1:30 am when a relative visiting the from USA locked his keys inside the car. They had a early flight out of Calgary the next day and were leaving early in morning. We are so thankful for the prompt help at such hours.

Very expensive $887 dollars from 16 km south of Consort to Wainwright.
The bike was tied down properly over the handle bars, but was overtightened and snapped my handle bars in two. The estimate was $639 to repair and three weeks till it could get in to the shop for repair.
Because it was my holiday and I needed my bike, I got the handle bars and replaced them myself. They only wanted to pay for the handlebars and none of the labor.
I lost a day of my holiday and WASTED MY TIME fixing their mistake. And his reason for not wanting to pay any labor. Liability lol
How does that play in. I am a contract electrician. So my day is worth more then the some of the labor I asked to be paid for.
Better are off pushing you car/bike

I think that the new owners from Spruce Grove Alberta, are delusional about there prices!! This is the country, not the City! Your rates are so high I can't wait for someone that understands country living, decides that it's a great idea to open another tow company around here!!!

Incredible service! He was super helpful and did so much to help our family get home safe. We were traveling with our 3 year old twins, one with special needs. I can't imagine if it wasn't Glenn that towed us! He is just a wonderful person! Forever grateful to him.
