Horrifying experience at Ellis Auto Drome Ltd, this place does not deserve a one star rating. Rude, unprofessional and Miss Diagnosed my vehicle which left me stranded on the side of the road outside of Lethbridge in the middle of nowhere.
I moved to Lethbridge with my parents recently, and we have a small fleet of Mercedes vehicles. We wanted to find a reliable, reputable German car expert "Mechanic" in town.
I took my 2008 Mercedes E320 BLUETEC (Diesel) into Ellis to get a Coolant Leak sorted out. When I picked up my car, they told me that there is no coolant leak and that I have a Oil Pan Gasket leak and a Transmission oil gasket leak. The next day, I was stranded on the side of the highway with No Coolant in my car, there was in fact a Coolant leak. I Got the car towed to another shop, they fixed the Coolant leak and advised, that the Oil Pan Gasket and Transmission Oil pan gasket were 100% OK and these were NOT LEAKING.
The staff at Ellis Auto drome are extremely rude and it was very difficult to convey information to them, the ladies on the phone were extremely rude, unprofessional and were always in a rush and I felt very uncomfortable speaking with them at that point, absolutely shocking experience. When I picked up my Vehicle, I voiced my concerns to the owner (Jack and Melanie Isaac) and Jack was ready to start fighting me and became very aggressive. HORRIFIC experience and I was never in a situation such as this in my entire life.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Mechanic came out and walked me through some of his inspection findings. Quotes and inspection were very reasonable priced. Will happily come back in the future.

We use Ellis for all of our vehicles and always get top of the shelf honest service from them. Never experienced any upsell kind of philosophies that some dealerships have and appreciate their sincerity.

It’s rough to try and help solve a car problem when you’re 6 hours away. Ellis was super busy due to a cold snap but got my kid’s car in asap and found/fixed the issue in short order. Finicky issue.Thank you!

Great place to go for European cars like my mini copper. I was having a hard time finding a place that had the knowledge to work on them but I think I've found my shop now :) plus they have some pretty cool puppies there :)
