My wife and I decided to buy our first home, and we needed someone to assist us through the process. I contacted Nahid Hassan, the branch manager of 1st Choice Savings and Credit Union Fairmont branch, and she gave us the most outstanding customer service we have ever received.
Nahid assisted us with every process until approval. She was patient, understanding, and listened to us. Nahid has the best customer service I have seen and she ensures to break information down to our level.
The whole process of getting our first mortgage was very easy because we had the best assistance.
Thank you Nahid for all you do, I appreciate your services.

Bank refuses to deal with and credit for fraudulent master card charges. You call and they placate you with kind words but still zero action. Then they added interest charges to the fraudulent charges! Zero respect and abusive to seniors. Will remove this review when this has been resolved!

Porter was able to get me the mortgage I needed when I needed it. When it came time to provide the down payment to the lawyer, I was able to get the bank draft quickly for my appointment later that day.

Staff are quick, understanding, friendly and overall amazing. They supply coffee and tea to customers, which is great for cold days and waiting times. Opening, managing and closing accounts is easy and quick. Staff do their best to make sure you aren't waiting for too long. Highly recommended!

The worst fees and services of any financial instituted I have ever dealt with. They totally Nickle and dime you and have terrible hours. The service is reasonable, but the fees are so terrible it doesn't make up for that. Also the bank machine is only open when the branch is open, totally moronic and whomever decided that should be fired for being an idiot.
