I recently purchased a 2022 GMC Canyon AT4 from High Country Chevrolet, Buick, GMC in High River Ab. Every time I purchase a vehicle from them, I wonder why anyone in the area will buy from anyone else. They are knowledgeable, friendly, fair, welcoming, and make sure that we are treated with excellence. Their service department is very good to work with, working hard to meet the needs that are brought to them, in a timely way at a fair price. I highly recommend making the drive to High River to check out this dealership.

Worst experience ever!! No apologies, only cover-up! As a woman, I got very little or next to NO support. I would never recommend Chad Turner and High Country ! Bought a “New” car and Chad Turner never opened the Hood ie to show me where even the Block Heater was, etc.), never showed me how to use the Back Up Camera, said he would bring me into the Service Department to meet the Staff (never did!), and on and on!!!
While Chad was made aware that my husband had recently passed away suddenly, I definitely needed the extra support!
Another situation, a few days after picking up my “New” car, where I had called Chad Turner after coming off the highway after driving all day and being very tired, that I had unknowingly driven into a construction zone at a Coffee Shop, that looked to be somewhat okay as no signage, where I soon realized after stepping out of my car, that the parking lot was covered with nails.
I called Chad Turner the very next day to ask when I return to High River if Chad could arrange my car to be placed on a hoist to check my tires for nails. He did not acknowledge my concern but convinced me that if my tires are not flat, there is no need !!! There you go, Chad FAILED again!!
Chad misled me when making arrangements for Katzkin Leather installed ie both, the Katzkin Leather Rep and the Installer told me that Chad should definitely have brought me into the Dealership to choose the right colour for Katzkin Leather but Chad FAILED again in his position as a Sales Manager.
Chad ignored my decision for the one colour of Katzkin Leather I made at the very start of arranging to purchase my “New” car.
Instead, months later, Chad starts talking about different colours of Katzkin Leather without bringing me, in person, (like he should have) into the dealership to discuss what I call “his own recommendation for a combination of colours” which was disgusting ? to look at.
I was informed when it was much too late as was after the car had already been delivered to High River ie ready for me to pick- up, that when picking colours of Katzkin Leather, Chad should never ever have used pictures ONLY to present to me. Yet, Chad Turner calls himself a Sales Manager !!!
I soon realized after the car finally arrived months later (was to arrive end of August and didn’t arrive at the dealership until end of October) that the colours of the Katzkin Leather Chad recommended were definitely not acceptable.
Yet, Chad Turner will NOT acknowledge his mistakes and poor recommendations for the Katzkin Leather. Chad FAILED!!
After several consultations and expert advice from both, the Katzkin Leather Rep and the the Katzkin Leather Installer in Calgary, both had advised me that they tried to convince Chad Turner to help pay for the replacement of the Katzkin Leather in my car ie mistake in wrong colours Chad recommended……
BUT, would Chad Turner would NOT acknowledge his mistakes and help pay for his wrong recommendations.
(Chad witnessed my state of extreme stress as I had previously brought to his attention my emotional state of grief!)
Yet, Chad sent me pictures by text only to choose Leather colours which was very, very wrong !
NOTE TO ADD: I received a “Congratulations on my Purchase” letter from Chad Turner (High Country Chevrolet Buick GMC Ltd.) almost immediately after I picked up my “New” car where Chad writes, …
“It is extremely important to me (Chad) and his staff that I respond COMPLETELY SATISFIED in ALL categories. If I (Marlene) feel that I cannot respond “completely satisfied”, Chad states, “Please call me (Chad) personally before I (Marlene) return the questionnaire and I (Chad) will do my (Chad’s) best to correct the situation”.
This was NOT TRUE! Chad DID NOT DO HIS BEST!

My 2022 Chev Diesel truck broke down just outside of town on June 19th. The mechanic walked out of the bay as we arrived and diagnosed the issue immediately. We went for lunch as he further looked into it and we got a call that it would be completed soon. We were half way on our trip from Edmonton and they really came through for us. Only 3 hours from the time we arrived to back on the road. All work was covered by warranty.

high country sold my elderly grandmother a 2011 cadillac SRX about 5 months ago. the vehicle had one previous owner and high country sold it saying their was no outstanding damages to the vehicle. within the first week the stabilitrack had to be replaced and their was damage found underneath the front right wheel well which had been plastic welded together, showing that someone was aware of damage to the vehicle but failed to declare it before selling the vehicle. in the past 5 months of me owning the car the check engine has not stayed off for over a week. a cracked cylinder head and a warped cylinder head were among the long list of repairs that were needed to be done on the vehicle within the first 80 000km of driving. thousands of dollars have been poured into that car and despite is luxurious appearance, it is not road worthy due to the ridiculous amount of repairs that are needed. obviously one must operate under a “buyers beware” mentality however it is sad to see a dealership taking advantage of the elderly and failing to declare all the issues that accompanied with the vehicle. strongly recommend buying a car from another dealership.

Service was less than impressive. Had an oil change. Inspection said checked tire pressures but were NOT checked. What else was "skipped" on the service? Not overly a great experience

I recently bought my new-to-me Cadillac from Cathy Brown. She was very knowledgeable and easy to deal with. When a service light came on shortly after my purchase, Darcy, in service, assured me that they would fix the repair expediently and I would not be charged, as it was something that didn't show up on the inspection. As we all know sometimes problems can arise, but it's how these problems are addressed and dealt with that make the difference. The staff and management at High Country were top notch to deal with. Thanks, and I'm loving my new wheels.
