Good, honest mechanic. We have taken my son's old beater to him for a few small fixes in the past year and had a good experience, so when my car needed some tlc, he was my go to. He checked everything out and let me know what definitely needed repair, and what could wait because it was minor. He also gave me options and explained why one of the two was more expensive, and recommended the cheaper option. These days it seems like finding a mechanic with integrity isn't an easy thing to do, but Otis definitely seems to be one.

Had car towed here over a week and half ago. Received a call the next day, letting me know they are still working on getting it started as it was driven into water during bad thunderstorm. Since then we have both been calling twice a day from two different numbers and texting, with no response. Super disappointed and at this point, we want to take to another mechanic. We are not in a rush for the vehicle but would like to be kept in the loop..

Tried twice to get an insurance inspection done. First time was told to come between 8-8:30am, no one was there. Still was not there at 8:50am. Second time was told to come at 8:30am, again no one there. Stayed until 9am and still no one. I was not the only one, their were other people waiting that also left. Will never use or recommend these guys.

Best car repair shop and prices in town! Had an issue while I was on a road trip in the area (sound coming from my front wheels) and the mechanic was able to find the issue in no time (bad tires) while ruling out other similar issue (bearing / brake rotors).

Brought in my truck thinking it was a heater core issue, and was originally quoted for $800-900, this shop found the correct issue and my price dropped nearly $600. Super professional, helped me find tow truck companies in town while I was at work, and had the option to e transfer payment. I am moving from AK to AZ, 8/28/21-9/4/21, 2 vehicles, 2 adults, 1 child, 4 cats.In Tok, AK I realized the A/c wasn’t working properly in my 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche.I decided to try and figure the problem out on my own along the way to AZ because I had the system serviced in Anchorage before leaving (a $600-$700 service bill)I did research and some troubleshooting with mechanic friends. I have my tools with me and I’ve watched/read a lot about vehicle AC units. From the troubleshooting, we came to the conclusion that it was either a fuse or a leak. Checked the fuses, they worked. Looked at the system, the high pressure valve was covered in AC and green dye (see picture). I found the leak, (it was very obvious) I tightened the bolt, I got refrigerant and proceeded to educate myself on how to recharge the system….. I tried in Fort Nelson and the AC clutch would never engage…. We decided to push forward to a larger city to try and be seen by someone sooner.We get to our hotel in Grande Prairie and my first goal is to find a mechanic. This shop was the second shop I called. I told him the problem. He walked me through the fix but the clutch still wasn’t engaging. He said that he could look at it the next morning! I was so happy, I dropped it off right away. ( the shop wait in Anchorage was 3 weeks)The owner was able to look at it the same day I dropped it off, and was able to get the AC clutch to engage and fill the remaining refrigerant into the AC system!!!He was really our savior for this trip and we are able to get back onto the road as scheduled!The owner offered me help over the phone to avoid a shop entirely (for the simple fix), he was very nice, very reasonable costs.Overall great experience! If I lived in town I would be sticking with this shop. I cannot thank him enough for the help.Services: A/C installation & repair

I called for alternator replacement quote. The gentleman had me explain what was happening. He then proceeded to tell me that he did not think it was an alternator issue but rather a battery problem. I replaced the battery and it’s been working great ever since. Thank you Otis for listening and suggesting a solution that brought in $0 for you. Customer care A+

Affordable, reliable, trustworthy, gets the job done.Brandon was excellent to deal with! Took my 2014 dodge ram there because I was having issues with my 4x4 not engaging. He found the issue right away, had the parts ordered and arrived the next day around noon. He told me he might have to stay late but he'd prefer me to have my truck back that night. He stayed at the shop till 10pm guaranteeing it would be finished. In the end it saved me a couple hundred dollars avoiding the stealerships. Had my brakes brakes rotars done at the same time. 100% would recommend Otis automotive for any mechanical needs.Services: General repairs & maintenance
