I realize that this is an essential service. But the customer service is not there for what I believe is the manager.. let’s just say she’s very spicy and rude. There a way to say things, even if it’s not what the customer would like to hear. No need to have attitude while providing services to your customers. I think she either needs a hug or another career path. I won’t go here again.. I see why this place has 2 stars.

My daughter took her road test with Wendy for the second time. The first fail was understandable so we took 6 months to practice and get her confidence back. When we saw it was Wendy again she was quite ignorant right off the start. This time she yelled at my daughter as she was attempting to make a left hand turn waiting for the oncoming traffic yelling “obstructing traffic”. Then on the way back to A-1 my daughter was driving straight through a green light midway through the intersection the light turned yellow so she failed her based on not knowing the light was going to change. Don’t waste your money here. Go somewhere that they won’t yell and distract your child from driving.

Called in to set up a new Corp, was told come down by 10 and it would be completed end of day. We left work, went down, to be told Noone was there that day to do it. Wasted time, why make the appointment if the Corp person wasn't in

had driving test here at A-1, felt very confident, like i was doing very well. the lady told me to go back to the registry as i had finished up the test.. on the way back i had gone through a yellow light as i was in the intersection going 50 km/h. as soon as i went through the yellow the lady told me i had 35 points out of 75 but since i went through the yellow was an automatic fail and she stated that “the light was going to change” not very impressed as me and my family don’t have money to throw away.. $152 for something legal.. sorry for not sending your driving instructor through the dash?

I took my road test with the license centre (boo) and the one in beaverlodge and then finally A-1. For both beaverlodge and A-1 I drove with Brent and I highly recommend driving with him at either A-1 or beaverlodge! I am a super nervous tester and he was very friendly which helped calm my nerves, on the third attempt I finally wasn't shaking like a leaf and he passed me. Instead of aggressive sighing or raising his voice like other examiners, he simply wrote down what I did wrong without making a big fuss over it and told me what went wrong afterwards and calmly explained where I went wrong, and even what I did right...you can tell he knows what he is doing. Also his directions were super easy to follow, i had an examiner whose directions were very unclear, vague and last minute...like passing the intersection he wanted me to turn last minute...Brent did not do that and gave me PLENTY of warning when I had a turn coming up so I had time to get into the correct lane. 10/10

I unintentionally scheduled my husband's road test for 9 a.m. the next day at A1 rather than the license centre. According to the policy, we must cancel at least 24 hours before the test. So, at 8:30, I'm attempting to contact them to cancel the reservation. The phone is off. It states they're still closed. I tried it so many times!! After an hour of trying (9:30 a.m.), they finally opened their phone lines. The 24 hour rule had passed. The person who answered the phone did not even apologize when I told her about the situation; all she said was that she couldn't do anything about it and that if their phone was turned off, why didn't I go to their office instead. Like what? We have a newborn at home; does she want me to go to their office without knowing if they are actually open?!
Ps: The lady is quite rude!

Extremely rude. First, the place was empty...I misunderstood the lady and thought she said "How are you?" I replied "Good, how are you"....followed by "What do you want?". Everything got much worse and short after that. Felt like an idiot asking for clarification and it seemed she had much better things to do then her job. Reading the responses from the (owner) I can see why this place is such a joke. Avoid going here unless you want to be talked down to and completely disrespected.
