Bought a sick rabbit with sniffles they wouldn’t take him in with just a runny nose to the vet now my other bunny has the sniffles now also this is ridiculous

I'm heartbroken and outraged. There have been a pair of male ferrets there for approx 7 months..just little when they first arrived. Anyone who knows anything about ferrets knows that they are very social creatures and a bonded pair should never be separated. Today, after sharing a cage for that long, being bonded, they seperarted them... I used to he a member of the Alberta Ferret Society for 3 years and have both owned and fostered ferrets and currently own 2 myself right now. They brushed it off as though it will be ok and it's being relocated to a different store with ferrets....it doesn't matter! What abiut the one purchased also! It's so sad that all they obviously care about is a sale as their prices for a pair is also ridiculous hence they were there for so long, otherwise I would have gotten these two babies myself. Good job petland you tore two bonded ferrets apart for sake of a sale. Pet stores should make kt policy that bonded pairs must go together. So sad, this genuinely upsets me I will never shop there again

they had ferrets there, both adult males, bonded and just the cutest. me and my family walk in there and i'm searching for one of them because i only see the one. we found out that they SEPARATED them, i hope they're happy that they made a ferret depressed.

Went to go get a hamster for my son’s birthday since his previous hamster died. With 40 minutes left to them closing they refused to let me adopt a hamster! My son was crying his eyes out and I feel 40 minutes should have been enough time to do the adoption. I already had everything I needed for the hamster! And I was told the paperwork takes to long, meanwhile I’ve adopted hamsters there before and the paperwork took 5 minutes. He even had a hamster picked out. She wouldn’t even let him pet it for crying out loud. Thx for ruining my son’s birthday, all because you want to go home early! I will not return!

Very very helpful staff !!! And a huge shout-out to Kyla! She was very helpful in a return that we had to do she went above and beyond did some digging to find a receipt for us. Unfortunately the return had to be done at the Coquitlam BC location with a store manager who was less than willing to help with the situation.Very impressed with the staff when we're back in Alberta we will definitely be visiting again will be visiting it again

Called Petland today and got very very poor service by the front cashier named Kim. She was very rude and did not give great customer service at all. Said that I called about 10 times when i called only twice!! Then had the decency to hang up on my boyfriend for my boyfriend calling and asking them to put a small jar of tropical fish flakes at the cash and was rudely helped. On another note, I'm Giving Jaron a very good customer service experience. He was very helpful to get me to order my tank light. His customer service was exceptional, great manners, very nice, and greeted me with a smile when I had my inquiry. The cab driver that i had to go pick up the fish food had the same experience with Kim, she was rude and ignorant to him as well and all he was doing was getting my fish food.

Went in today with the intention of just buying fish. Decided to buy a whole new tank and decorations to accommodate the types of fish i wanted. Multiple times staffed walked by me as i stood by their please wait sign in their fish section, not one of them asked if they could help me or let me know they would get to me soon. One girl was obviously busy with another customer but another staff would walk past me to help someone else twice, with other staff mi gling around the store and by the tills. I waited in the section for about 30 minutes of being ignored by the staff before finally deciding that they obviously didnt want my buisness returned the tank to the pile and left.

Absolutely terrible reptile managers. The animals are going to die here. Their bearded dragons are glass surfing, one of them has its chin all shredded from glass surfing. It's stressed and is going to die. Also the misinformation they have and give is beyond me. They say that the best substrate for a ball python is aspen which is extremely toxic to snakes. Also the temperatures are wrong and the enclosure is far too small for the snake they carry. It disgusts me and if I could buy all their reptiles to give them the life they deserve I would. The waterbottle cap as a water dish for their scorpion is absolutely disgusting. If I could give 0 stars I would. I hope that you guys take these reviews into great consideration.

Such a great place to shop or just stop in to see the animals. All staff are absolutely great and friendly. Definitely will be shopping here for my animals.
