Can't say enough about the customer service of Chris(or Kris, sorry!) Went above and beyond what she had to do for me as I hadn't even made my purchase in store, but online.
I ordered a high chair on the website and realized I ordered the wrong color. I wasn't able to get in touch with customer service and was scared that I'd be receiving an orange high chair LOL. She took all my info and contacted them on my behalf to assure me that my order hadn't been shipped yet and that I wanted to change the color prior to because the item was a final sale purchase. Extremely pleased to know that there are people that are willing to go beyond their expected duties for people.
My experience with her guarantees them that I'll definitely be shopping in store more often and for every child I have after this first.
Thanks again!

Honest to god, I will never shop here again, which is terribly disappointing since they do have a wonderful selection of products.
I find it incredibly frustrating that while I shop, every 2 minutes an employee is coming up to me and asking me “do you need help?”.
I’m not sure if they’ve deemed me incapable of shopping for a baby, or if browsing the store suddenly is against store policy, but the employees here will not leave you alone no matter how many times you insist that you do not need help.
In addition, you cannot take public transit here if you have a baby, are in a wheelchair or have any accessibility restrictions - there is no sidewalks on 170th, so no access to the store unless you’re okay with walking on a busy road or in a ditch.

I keep reading reviews about people’s negative experiences at WCK, but I have honestly had nothing but great experiences shopping in-store at the 170 street location. The regular staff there are very friendly and helpful.

Katherine is absolutely fantastic!!! She assisted me with my monte bassinet from beginning to end over the phone so patiently describing all options available. In store, Cairo has also been fantastic! Staff this great is a reflection of great management! Cannot wait to come in and shop again soon!

Purchased a Peg Perego Siesta on March 4, I opened it on March 5, and noticed the tray was marked up. I called about returning it and was told I can’t return it that I need to contact the manufacturer. I shouldn’t have to contact the manufacture less than 24 hours after buying something. Terrible customer service! We need a better store to service Edmonton. I’m tired of giving them my money.

Love the diversity of staff and customer experiences that are shared with fellow parents and caregivers. The knowledgable staff gave us close personal attention throughout our visits and supervisors/management seemed keen to ensure that someone was always in view of our shopping interests, even as we went to use the relatively clean baby change room. It was made know to us that they were watching out for our needs. There may be opportunities for the Edmonton south location to share experiences with this location about cultivating customer-centric environments while taking an effective and proactive risk management approach.

Despite the negative reviews i have always had a good experience here and have never had an issue. I have always found the employees to be kind and helpful, taking good care of me and offering suggestions if something i saw online and then tried in store wasnt so great. I pretty much come here for everything and love all the premium options. This is not a store for you if you’re trying to cheap out as most of their items are high end. I think the other reviewers dont understand that.

Staff ignored us two times we were in store, opting to talk to people who came in after us.

I have read plenty of reviews here about return policy, I have to put myself in this ordeal. I highly recommend parents should do not buy anything expensive from West Coast Kids as not only do they have a no return policy , surprising in this day and age, the upper management will delay communication but also make it difficult to navigate difficult situations. After talking for 3 months they agreed on a 15% restocking fee and on the day we are to return , another manager sent an email stating we had to post the 50 lbs product to Winnipeg to get the return. How absurd the lack of return policy but then to do this last minute, I am a medical professional, I had to change my work timings to deal with this issue. I do not recommend this store for parents that already have little ones to look after.Frustrating but also disappointing with the lack of empathy and disinterest with customer care.

Team was super helpful when I arrived to pick up my order from a registry, even when there was some confusion on my side regarding picking up my order (make sure to check your spam email folder!). They were quick to resolve, kind and friendly!

I had a fantastic experience today at the WCK west Edmonton location. I had previously been to the south location and had a poor experience, so I was skeptical to try a new location. Shay helped me with car seats and stroller education for probably 30 minutes and she was so knowledgeable and patient! She was so great to learn from and was super approachable. Other staff was fantastic too - I appreciated them checking in with me to make sure I was doing ok. They were always around for questions. I’ll 100% be purchasing my stroller/car seat and other items from this location! Thanks Shay!

This company follows an archaic no return policy even if the product was never used. For first time parents, this policy is simply ridiculous.I purchased my Babyletto nursery furniture from Westcoast Kids. I had seen a picture of the crib and chest of drawers online and I had to have it for my baby. The store's display of this set included a change table. In fact, almost all the crib set displays had a change table on top of the corresponding chest of drawers . The change tables are not shown with a change pad inserted into them and as a new mommy, I thought that my baby would sit inside the table. I paid in store and the sales staff said that I should purchase the change pad along with the table and so I did. I had to wait weeks before I could pick up the change table. When I finally put it together I realized that baby sits above the casing of the change table instead of inside the change table. Perhaps some feel comfortable with this sort of arrangement to change their babies. However, I do not feel as though it is safe. Moreover, I feel like I was misled by the way in which the stores display the product. In the store, the change tables are used as placeholder for items such as books and stuffed animal. Yet, they are promoted as a spot to change a baby. Most all the displays of various change tables in one of the locations does not show the change pad insert. Westcoast refuses to allow a store credit despite the fact that I have never and will never use the change table and pad. I will never shop at a Westcoast store again and if you are thinking about shopping there , I assure you that they are certainly not a trendy place when it comes to treating new moms and dads with compassion, understanding, or respect for differing views on what is and isn't okay for their precious baby. I am certain that one may find many brands sold in these stores elsewhere. And I highly encourage shoppers to take the money earmarked for your baby somewhere else.
